I have noticed that for the past several months Firefox for Android begins draining my battery after being installed for around 2 weeks. I'm using a Google Pixel 7 (128GB) running Android 14 (AP1A.240405.002) in the UK.

At first, I thought this was being caused by an add-on, so I reinstalled without add-ons and slowly started enabling them day by day until I caught the culprit (which if I recall correctly was Dark Reader). However, even after I disabled the Dark Reader add-on the problem persisted, and no matter how many times I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, the background battery drain issues would eventually come back after ~2 weeks of being installed.

At present I have only three add-ons enabled in the browser: ClearURLs, Decentraleyes, and uBlock Origin. I have used these add-ons in the browser for years without any issues.

It's now got the point where I am so fed up with this issue and the need to constantly reinstall that I will be using a different browser for the time being until this is fixed. I really want to use Firefox as I use it on all my other devices, but this is too much of an issue for me to ignore.

I've included screenshots of my phone's battery consumption whilst I'm asleep, and whilst I'm watching Youtube on my TV over lunch. Both of these are times I'm not using Firefox.

Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

hello. I am a user who uses Firefox 123 in Android 14.

There is a problem with writing posts based on HTML editors on the site I usually use.

The editor is in the form of Wysiwyg, and if the image is inserted through the editor, it is impossible to continue to enter the text after the element.

Even if I try to touch the right side of the image and keep input from the right side of the image, the cursor(blinking '|') refuse to go back to the image.

Can I solve this problem? If I need About:config settings, I'm willing to use Firefox beta or nightly.

Exorbitantly Protracted Load Times

My Specs: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Model# SM-N96OU1 Android Version 10 Firefox: 107.2.0 (Build #2015918523), 1490acda7+

This past year, whenever the Firefox Android app is initialized (from a wholly dormant state, as opposed to starting from a "running in the background" state) it can take upwards of five minutes until I'm actually able to utilize it. During the interim, the page itself is grayed-out and clicking on any other tabs, bookmarks or urls results in a delayed reaction which happens all at once, five minutes later. I've attempted all manner of updating uninstalling, reinstalling, cache-clearing, and what have you, all of which have had no discernable effect on the aforementioned load time. I even considered the possibility that my swollen downloads folder might be the cause, so I migrated the contents elsewhere, cleared the temp data, etc. and rebooted the device. To no avail, sadly. Is this normal behavior? (the software I mean). I would've posted this question months ago, but a complaint about being forced to wait a few extra moments each day feels a little like WPP.

Version: FF Android 101.2.0 (plus other version stuff I can provide if needed), Android 12 Hi there,

I wanted to report an issue I've been experiencing on a popular news site, which seems to have been ongoing for several months now. I'm not sure if anyone else has been having this problem or if it's just me, but I thought it was worth bringing up.

The website in question is . https://alightmotion.net/

My expected behavior when browsing this site is to be able to open links and download files in the background while continuing to browse. However, I've noticed a few issues:

After opening a few tabs, Firefox for Android will hang for almost 30 seconds before doing a deep redraw/repaint of all tabs. It then functions normally until I try to open another background tab from the same website. During the hang, the tab interface continues to redraw, but the pages themselves do not repaint, and no tap events work. When the hang time ends, the pages appear to redraw from scratch, and the context pop-up for the third long-press appears on top of the tab I was looking at. This issue is 100% reproducible for me. Long-press fails when attempting to open the third background tab, but the repaint failure occurs earlier. There seems to be something toxic happening.

Interestingly, when I go back to my Android Home screen after experiencing this issue, there is a deep refresh/repaint, as if the phone has been swapped out or the garbage collector has run.

I have tried clearing all browsing data and using a guest account on my phone, but the issue persists. I don't have any add-ons installed, and neither Chrome nor Firefox Desktop exhibit this behavior. It seems to be specific to Firefox for Android.

Thank you for your help!

Firefox is reloading content whenever switching between ravs

I'm running Firefox Beta for Android 104.0b7 (Build #2015898507), e305d4cd2+ AC: 104.0.7, cc0e6a515c GV: 104.0-20220816121120 AS: 93.7.2

Whenever I switch between tabs it appears as though Firefox is reloading page content from the server. Not only is this annoyingly slow but it makes it near impossible to copy information from one website to another.

Example: I have all my passwords stored in the secure password app on my nextcloud server. I access a website like usnews.com chose to login via their web page, open a new tab to load my nextcloud, find usnews.com and copy my username, change tab again, us news returns to original page and I have to chose login again, and I paste my username, return to nextcloud tab, usnews.com isn't nopen I have to search again to find it and then copy my password, change tab back to usnews again the page is reloaded and I have to chose login again, and my username has been lost so pasting my password does not help much.

Is this a bug? If so how can I help capture data to assist with its resolution? If reloading is a feature, is there something I can do to disable it?

While browsing Amazon.com using the past several builds of the Nightly for Android, I get this most annoying bouncing pop-up tip that is a yellowish with black font saying to click on this heart icon to save the product. I have never seen this on any other browser for Android, and never on my Firefox on my laptop or desktop. Is there anyway to get rid of it? I cannot stand this and I have almost thrown my phone because of it many times. I have never thrown a phone before. I cannot explain why, but it pisses me off so very much!
