Firefox for iOS Support Forum

I'm using Firefox on iOS along with the Bitwarden app for password management. I've noticed that Chrome and Safari display Bitwarden suggestions for password autofill directly in the toolbar, but Firefox does not. Is this due to my settings, or could it be an unfixed bug with Firefox on iOS? Has anyone else encountered this issue or knows if it's being addressed?

I have tried to report a sophisticated hack. I have attempted to blow the whistle on some serious corruption. https://i.imgur.com/tpXd1a0.png I’m sure I can provide additional information pleas save this or report it to authorities.

There is an on/off switch in the Android version of Firefox: Setting>Customize>Scroll to hide toolbar that is not there is the iOS version, that I use on my iPad. I've looked everywhere in the iPad version's settings, but that entire section (Customize) isn't there. Is there some way to make the toolbar in the iOS version visible all the time? It's really useful when I've scrolled down to read a page and need to switch tabs, something I do quite a lot.

I honestly don’t khow to describe this, but when I open YouTube, there’s a random chance for it to redirect me to the YouTube app and to add insult to injury, signs me out of the YouTube site on Firefox too… I have no idea how to fix this, I tried everything I could think of

Ever since my IPad updated to iOS 17 I have had issues with Firefox crashing. I currently have iOS17.2 which fixed some other issues but not this issue. When it crashes and I go back in it will ask if I want to restore tabs, if I say no, then I get a new clean tab. However, the next time it crashes (which it will) and it asks to restore tabs, it restores tabs from the first time it crashed, not the current tabs I was on. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox but it still crashes. And when I say it crashes it does it extensively, every time I go on Firefox. I’m sorry I don’t know the version of Firefox I have nor the operating system.

Hello: I’m running iOS 17.3.1 on iPhone. The problem I’m experiencing: I used to see the Recommended by Pocket articles on my iOS Firefox homepage, but they stopped appearing a few weeks ago. I’ve searched for a resolution, but all I can find are the steps for customizing/personalizing my HomePage: the problem is that although I’m signed into my Firefox/Mozilla account and have chosen Firefox as my Homepage for New Tabs, and I’ve signed out, restarted the app and changed my Firefox settings several times, the option: ‘Recommended by Pocket’ ( along with the actual articles appearing on the homepage) doesn’t even appear anymore: I’m at a loss as to locating that option, as well as, again, seeing the Recommended Articles as they appeared previously.   For couple weeks , following any external link/reference, such as all 'unsubscribe' links from Apple Mail messages, Firefox opens but homepage rather than to the link/url argument (and url field shows blank, not display the extrrnal link's url address in url input box.
  Support history shows an identical problem in Ff ~117 reported (Aug '23, I think)   (if the condition of Firefox not currently running is same, which I haven't yet been able to determine) and apparently resolved then ( 2 replies, but thread is not visible because FF Support has it recorded as "Archived").

Hi @all, Such quite a while, Firefox almost constantly crashing when closing a or better the last open tab. Tried a support hint and deleted cache and everything and after that it worked for a few days and then it coming up again. When it happens, and I restart FF and try a logged in page directly, I.e. Facebook, FF doesn’t recognize my signin. Closing the tab, waiting a moment, restart the page again and everything is fine. Really don’t know when this behavior begun, but it is really annoying. I face this problem on 2 different iPad Pro. The newer one from last year with an M2 processor and an older one with an Axx don’t know which one exactly. What’s the matter with that? I'm encountering a perplexing problem with downloading .mobileconfig WiFi profile files through a direct link in my ReactJS web application. This functionality works flawlessly on Google Chrome, Safari, and Edge across iPhone and iPad devices. However, when attempting the same on Firefox for iOS, the downloaded file becomes corrupted and unrecognizable as a .mobileconfig file.

The download mechanism is implemented using a simple anchor tag that points directly to the file on the server. Interestingly, only in Firefox on iOS, the content of the .mobileconfig file gets altered during the download process, leading to corruption.

I'm keen to understand why this issue is occurring specifically with Firefox on iOS and how to resolve it. Has anyone else faced a similar challenge or have any insights on how to ensure the file downloads correctly on all browsers, including Firefox on iOS? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Hello! A little embarrassing but I used 123movies to watch a movie, and afterwards I keep getting a notification from my anti-virus software that says that 123movies wants to gain access or is active.

I want to block the website i have visited to hopefully solve the problem.

how do I do that through the iOS app on my iphone?

My tabs keep crashing and every time I reopen Firefox I have to reclick all tabs, public and private. Last week, I had to delete the app because nothing worked. But since I reinstalled it, I have had to constantly reclick all tabs both public and private at least 5 times a day because it disappears.

Firefox has become basically unusable since the iOS 17.1.2 update. Everything is extremely slow — opening a tab, selecting the address bar, waiting for keyboard to load, typing, loading results etc. Only after the wait at each step to load a web page does it become navigable as long as I stay there and don’t leave to return later. I’m on latest version in app store. Been a Firefox user since my first smartphone and beyond that on a PC. I prefer Firefox, but I downloaded the DuckDuckGo browser just to have something responsive for basic web searches. Please help.
