History tab view shows an image of tab value but does nothing when a tab is selected, opens a blank pane. Click-hold on tab thumbnail causes browser to crash. IOS Firefox current versions. iPhone SE 3rd gen.

All updates since 117.0 crash when I attempt to launch (iPhone X, iOS 14.3). I've never had any issue with previous updates. Seems like a bug that needs rectifying.

I just updated my Firefox web browser app to Version 118 from app store. Since then, the app is not functional at all. Most of my tabs won't load, and the app crashes every time I open it. I am on ios 16.7.

My tabs keep crashing and every time I reopen Firefox I have to reclick all tabs, public and private. Last week, I had to delete the app because nothing worked. But since I reinstalled it, I have had to constantly reclick all tabs both public and private at least 5 times a day because it disappears.

I've ensured that the website's code is compliant with web standards and optimized for various browsers. However, I'm unsure why this problem persists solely on Firefox for iOS.

Ever since my IPad updated to iOS 17 I have had issues with Firefox crashing. I currently have iOS17.2 which fixed some other issues but not this issue. When it crashes and I go back in it will ask if I want to restore tabs, if I say no, then I get a new clean tab. However, the next time it crashes (which it will) and it asks to restore tabs, it restores tabs from the first time it crashed, not the current tabs I was on. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox but it still crashes. And when I say it crashes it does it extensively, every time I go on Firefox. I’m sorry I don’t know the version of Firefox I have nor the operating system.

Hi @all, Such quite a while, Firefox almost constantly crashing when closing a or better the last open tab. Tried a support hint and deleted cache and everything and after that it worked for a few days and then it coming up again. When it happens, and I restart FF and try a logged in page directly, I.e. Facebook, FF doesn’t recognize my signin. Closing the tab, waiting a moment, restart the page again and everything is fine. Really don’t know when this behavior begun, but it is really annoying. I face this problem on 2 different iPad Pro. The newer one from last year with an M2 processor and an older one with an Axx don’t know which one exactly. What’s the matter with that? My Firefox on iOS has crashed recently; I usually get a pop up that offers all tabs to be restored afterwards. I didn’t have an option for that this time, is there a way the tabs can be restored manually? Had a couple tabs open in private for school research links and would hate to have to go searching for them again. Thanks!

I’ve been using Firefox synced to my account on my iPad for a while with no problems, and only started running into this problem today. The app for the most part works normally, but when I open specifically the history tab the whole app crashes. I can still use Firefox on my android and computer completely fine, and have tried clearing some of my history using my phone, to no avail. Only the history tab does this- downloads, bookmarks, and reading list are all fine. Any advice on how to fix this?

After the most recent update to version 106.1 on my iPhone 11 iOS 15.6.1, every time I open Firefox and open a new tab the browser is unresponsive for several seconds, then slowly registers my input in the search bar, and occasionally crashes during that process. It also hangs up and crashes at random. It will no longer open links to PDF files. I love Firefox, but this is becoming unusable.

After a Firefox update the app stopped working. It crashes all the time when being open.

Firefox asks if I want to restore tabs, but no matter the answer it always crashes. I did reinstall the app on the phone - did not help.

I am regularly getting crashes on Firefox When browsing using my iPhone 12 mini running on iOS 16. As soon as there is any sort of ‘heavier’ task, such as loading a PDF or browsing an online news site with loads of ads, the whole browser just freezes up and I can’t do anything unless I force close the browser via the multitasker.

It is happening multiple times per day.

What information can I provide to you to help troubleshoot this issue?

this happened only on my m1 iPad. firefox on my iPhone doesn't have this problem. 1.suddenly freezes up. need to relaunch the app. 2.sometimes lags and stutters when scrolling, switch tabs, and open settings. 3.sometimes it outright crashes after a very bad stuttering. this happened even when i only have couple of tabs opening.

i had tried everything i can think of with no success. 1.clear all browsing data. 2.delete and redownload the app(+delete firefox's folder in files app). 3.update iOS(both security patches and to next version).

the only thing i haven't tried is too factory reset the iPad. which i hope to avoid.
