I'm on Firefox 127.0 (42448) ios and all my private tabs were closed on update and now whenever I make a private tab it disappears after the app is closed or refreshes. It's kind of behaving like the setting where private tabs are closed automatically but when I looked in the privacy settings of firefox ios it's not there anymore. Does anyone else have this issue? I know theres an existing problem with tabs for firefox but I don't think this is exactly the same because my normal tabs are totally fine.

I updated the iOS app today and it closed all my tabs in private browsing mode and will not keep any open. It also will not default to private browsing anymore even if I open a link from a private window. The help pages list settings that do not exist. Please advise

Your new update has possibly screwed my private tavs opening data because private tabs no longer open when I use the firefox IOS website for my Iphone and it is quite annoying since I had a lot of private tabs open before this incident occurred Can I please get a response on how to fix this annoying problem by the firefox team and when an update will occur to fix it this from this 127.0 New Update of yours please fix the private tabs from closing on my IOS Iphone device it is quite annoying when I fully exit the app or give me an idea how to fix it.

Why would your team release a version that closes all tabs in private browser mode? Why would you not list this in your release notes? I only browse in Private mode and prefer to leave tabs open there. Please return the feature or give the user the option to close all tabs on exit

I usuallg keep a few tabs open in private browsing but now it seems they’re closing automatically when I come back from regular browsing. The settings/privacy/close private tabs doesn’t seem to exist in the setttings any longer. Did it move? Am I missing something? Reopening private tabs again and again sort of may push me out of Firefox on iOS altogether.

I use Firefox on my Mac and windows. Recently downloaded Firefox for the first time on ipad. Worked well for the sites that I opened for 15 minutes. Opened at max 4 tabs. Then I was crossing out the opened tabs, it crashed when the last open tab was closed. Tried again, and same thing. Since this is my behavior for every session, this could not continue, and I had to uninstall it from the iPad.

I'm having the same problem as this guy.

I have a large number of open tabs in Firefox on my iPhone, a mixture of old and very old. I've been trying to go through the tabs and deal with them -- in some sense they are all todo items that I left open at least semi-deliberately.

If I tap on a thumbnail to load a tab, Firefox instead loads a blank page. If I tap the address bar after that, Firefox loads the new tab page, not the site corresponding to the tab that I selected. If I tap and hold a tab's thumbnail, Firefox crashes.

It was the case temporarily (possibly a bug) that some of these tabs would place a TLS failure icon in the left of the address bar when selected, while the blank page was displayed. Tapping on that would display the tab title, but not the tab URL. No longer is that TLS failure icon ever visible.

Hi @all, Such quite a while, Firefox almost constantly crashing when closing a or better the last open tab. Tried a support hint and deleted cache and everything and after that it worked for a few days and then it coming up again. When it happens, and I restart FF and try a logged in page directly, I.e. Facebook, FF doesn’t recognize my signin. Closing the tab, waiting a moment, restart the page again and everything is fine. Really don’t know when this behavior begun, but it is really annoying. I face this problem on 2 different iPad Pro. The newer one from last year with an M2 processor and an older one with an Axx don’t know which one exactly. What’s the matter with that? Since a while, when I click on a link in a Google search result, the link opens in a blank tab (about:blank). Opening the link via the context menu "open in new tab" works without any probem. This happens on a iPad with iPadOS 16.7.6 with Firefox 124.0 (39709). FF is set as standard browser. Does not happen in Safari or Chrome.
