Hi, just recently my Firefox 35 has been crashing at launch even in safe mode on Mac Os X Mavericks 10.9.5 on a Mac Mini 2.3 Ghz Intel Core i5.

I have tried: - deleting firefox and mozilla folders in Application Support - deleting org.mozilla.firefox.plist - uninstalling flash - reinstalling the browser - downgrading to Firefox 34 and the crashes persist. I haven't had other problems with this computer.

Until today everything okay. This evening tried to re-open Firefox and it would not. Rebooted computer & Firefox opened OK but after I closed it an tried to reopen, it would not start. Now it appears that Firefox will only open on a fresh restart of my computer. Running W-7 64 bit.

We are having some problems with custom profile locations on windows 7

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -Profile "U:\Firefox\Profile"

We use the above command to launch firefox. The u drive is a drive that is ALWAYS available for all users. This drive is redirected to the home folder of the user. To sync these folders we use Offline files.

During our testing fase we had no problems at all with this method. But in the last week we receive more and more people complaining that firefox hangs. (Read: no error specific error just stops responding and windows asks to close firefox) In my troubleshooting quest i found that as long as i don't use internet ( so not using our proxy server squid) it all works. But from the moment i try using for example google, firefox stops responding.

The tricky part is that sometimes it happens after 5 minutes, couple of hours, few days. Once it happened after 5 minutes, the only way to solve it is to delete the profile folder on the U Drive and start over.

So any help on identifying this problem is welcome. If more info is needed let me know what you need.

I am running windows xp professional. For some reason, this morning firefox was just not loading and it took 20 min or more to load. Once it is loaded, firefox is working ok. I try remove the program and reinstall, try refresh firefox, try create a new profile but none of these work. I am running Firefox 36.0. I can start internet explorer fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I pretty much always have a few select tabs open. Is it possible to make Firefox open to a certain tab whenever I open it? I know it will open to the tab that you were on when you last closed Firefox, but it is not always on my mind to navigate to that tab that I want opened whenever I close it.

And yes, I know how to set my homepage. That is in fact NOT my problem! Thank you! :)

After updating from Firefox 35.0.1 to version 36, I am unable to load any pages in Firefox. (My internet connection is fine and I can use other browsers on the same computer.)

I've already tried many troubleshooting routines to fix the problem but none have worked. I've tried the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-problems-connecting-websites-after-updating (including troubleshooting my Firewall and proxy settings)

NONE of the suggestions in any of those pages solved the problem. Opening Firefox is Safe Mode did not help either. I was unable to load pages even in Safe Mode.

After following all of the steps in all of those troubleshooting guides and still failing, I uninstalled Firefox completely. (I followed all official directions on how to uninstall.) Then I re-installed Firefox VERSION 35.0.1. Firefox again worked fine with the older version.

Then I restored my profile from a backup using MozBackup. (My most recent backup was done when I had Ver. 35.0.1 installed.) Everything was still fine; Firefox worked fine and all of my settings were back to my preferences.

Finally, I again tried to update to version 36 - and the same thing happened! Unable to load any pages!

One other thing I've noticed: With version 36 installed, there is something wrong with my Options dialog. The first time I upgraded, I had only blank tabs for "General" and "Advanced"; with my second try, after updating to V 36 my Options dialog has blank tabs for "General" and "Search" (although Advanced is now showing.)

I am going to uninstall again, and again go back to V 35.0.1. But I would like to be able to update to the newest version. What can I do?

(I am a long-time Firefox user, and reasonably computer savvy. I have many extensions installed as I use Firefox as an important tool in my job as a website designer. I have Firefox extensively fine-tuned to my liking to optimize my work-flow.)

Firefox is running very slow and when I try to refresh it as prompted, nothing changes. I'm not very technical and need clear instructions as to what to do next. Also, when I try to access LinkedIn, I can't and I don't know if that is a Firefox or linkedIn problem.

Can't start, even in safe mode. A window shows up and it keeps going to the Mozilla Crash Reporter.

Performed all the steps in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-keeps-crashing-startup, including removing program and all Firefox %apdata% folders.

Firefox just says "connecting" on the tab and after thirty minutes the page doesn't load. I have tried restarting my computer a few times, and have uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox. It is not a problem with the connection and does not appear to be a problem with my security. I've been using Firefox for over a year on this computer, then suddenly this. What do I do?

Whenever I attempt to open Firefox, an error message comes up saying "Firefox has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I've rebooted my laptop a few times and uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox, but that hasn't helped.

After updating Firefox in the most recent update it hangs upon opening. I would try the other fixes for hanging but Firefox is unresponsive and I can't access anything within it to fix it.

I have a Mac running OS X 10.9.5. Firefox began to hang on start up. After going through all the troubleshooting solutions suggested I attempted to delete and reinstall. Problem continues. When I checked the Trash basket after deleting Firefox the icon does not appear. The only software loaded around the time of Firefox beginning to hang was perhapss Skype. My laptop running OS X 10 10.10.2 is able to run Firefox fine. It is not enabled for Skype. Could there be issues with Skype?

Firefox keeps crashing at startup, even after reinstalling. It used to work, I think it started crashing after the latest Microsoft Windows update.

when I try to use firefox to ask a question on this site nothing happens when I press the submit button, am asking this by using IE

I seem to have multiple tabs immediately beneath the browser url field and above the page tabs.

Each says Start (0).

I have no idea 1) how they landed 2) what they're for; and 3) how to get rid of them.

Hi to all readers ! I have been running Firefox as my browser on a Linux PC system for many years. I do a lot of web searching for scientific information, so I have many Add-ons installed. Over the years, the boot-up time has steadily increased to around 25 secs so, about a month ago, I systematically tested the Add-ons to find which was slowing things down and discovered that AdBlock Edge was the culprit. I replaced this with plain AdBlock and my boot-up time dropped to about 4 secs --- which was fine. However, over the past week or two it has begun to creep up again even though nothing in the configuration has changed. I am running Firefox Ver:36.0.1. for Linux Mint Ver 17 ("Qiana") on a Dell GX-520 tower with 2 GB of memory. Firefox is the only app running on this machine. All the up-dates for "Mint" have been installed. Boot-up time is now averaging about 11 secs with variations between 7-13 secs. Can anyone please explain why the boot time varies when nothing on the system has been changed and why it is apparently increasing from an average of 4 secs. Foxfire won't open at all.When I press the icon to open it, i get the spinning beachball and then nothing opens. No error messages. I am running on Windows 7 Home Basic if that helps. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, I have made sure the firewall is not blocking it.I cannot open it in safe mode.

I miss my firefox and want it back. Please Help
