I am running firefox 47.0.1 and every time I reboot all my saved logins and passwords disappear. When I check saved logins, there is nothing there. I can reenter and they stay until I log off or reboot. Running Windows 7 64 bit OS, but this behavior just started. Was there something in the latest firefox update responsible for this behavior?

My files got corrupted on yesterday update . I have the same issue. but i could not find the old version of logins.json file.
There is a file logins.json.corrupt instead of logins.json
corrupt file is about 348KB.
this has never happened till now i never thought this could happen ... aren't passwords saved back on firefoxes secure servers ? i signed back to my profile everything is intact excepts my passwords .. this is a nightmare
i have searched all over Firefox didn't find a proper solution .. most of the answers are outdated (2015) .. the restoring previous versions isn't an option (ugh why didn't i backup regularly "smack on my face")
Is there any way to get login details from the corrupt file ? (tired reading using notepad and json readers its a bust)

When firefox asked if I wanted to update to the newest version, I answered NO! I had already discovered on my other computer that if I allowed the update, I would lose my ability to restore the previous session, so I wanted to save the tabs so I could reload them. I also lost all of the saved passwords on my other computer and didn't want the same thing to happen on my work computer. But despite answering NO. Firefox updated anyway, and I have lost days of work. How do I get it back? Jack

I had lost my passwords, and had all my bookmarks on both firefox quantum, and with developer edition. Even though I think i was signed into sync, I could not get my information back. I had done no changes to my computer, and it appears this happened from an update. After searching online, I was able to get my passwords to show synch using developer edition. I am afraid to keep the passwords only using sync, as I am thinking this may happen again... I would like to have a backup file that works, so I can setup an older firefox for events in the future, with my passwords. Please let me know how to export the passwords, or bring back an option for export. If this is not possible, I may not use firefox anymore... I have been using firefox for years, and always have recommended to other people. However, I like the original firefox the best. I do not need a browser which reminds me of chrome or windows. Thank you

I found this article: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Deleting_autocomplete_entries I followed the directions. It worked, no more drop down. However, after I signed into the site and back out, the drop down came back.
I don't mind Firefox autocompleting for most websites, but for sensitive websites, like online banking, how can I get it to NEVER autocomplete or create a drop down? Again, I don't have the username/password saved, and I don't necessarily want to disable to feature for every website.

After update to FF 59.0 (64 bit) (OS - Win7 Ultimate) no passwords are saved and "Key" icon is missing. All settings in FF are correct: not using Private Browsing; Options>Privacy & Security>Remember logins and passwords for websites is checked; there are no "exceptions" (list is empty), etc. Even previously saved logins that are listed DO NOT AUTO FILL anymore! BitDefender is disabled to make sure no issues with AV software. See screen shot attached showing NO KEY ICON (for ANY website/URL)!

Firefox updated to Quantum and lost all my bookmarks and passwords. I was able to restore the bookmarks but I can not find a way to restore the passowords.

I have firefox sync set up, but I ask it not to sync logins. Recently, one of my profiles had an issue with sync and it asked me to reconnect. After reconnecting it cleared all my saved logins. I have a backup of `logins.json` but how can i restore it so i have the old and new logins?

When I go into Firefox settings and click on Saved Logins, it takes several minutes for the window to open up. Afterwards, the searches are relatively fast. Deleting an item likewise takes minutes. I believe this also affects the auto-fill of passwords when Firefox first starts up.. It does not auto-fill at first.
Is there any way to optimize the saved logins database? PS: This is under Fedora Linux. Firefox 59.0.2 (64-bit)
