Here we go again.... I have been watching Amazon Prime Videos on my Mac and also my HP computers for a long time. About 3 weeks ago, when I tried to stream a video, it would not start and I got an error message that the video was not available. After trying both computers, many times over the 3 weeks, I have gotten the same results. Amazon says it is the Firefox browser that is the problem and want me to install Chrome, which I DO NOT WANT on my computer. Can you fix the problem or help in any way?

I would like assistance to enable javascript. Chase bank says in orderto perform activities, I need javascript. So, do other sites. I never had this problem before 2 weeks ago. Not sure what is causing this. I tried following instructions online that said I had to get to Firebox 'configure' box, but the instructions were too vague, bc I didn't see the prompters they said I should choose from? Please advise. Thanks!

I need to uninstall the recent update to Firefox. I have several "features" that were added which I do not wish to have.

OR -- I need to be able to reinstall a prior version of Firefox.

I do not wish to have to "fix" Firefox, just need to go back a few versions.

I keep getting Mozilla Firefox Pop Up Windows stating my System is infected via

nvtyk.magmaartisan.top.

I have run windows defender and avg anti-virus software to check my computer which cannot find a problem.

I have also tried to find where this is being called from within Firefox settings and windows services.

How do I get rid of this, am I infected and what can happen?

I would like to know why Firefox will not open links on certain websites. I am able to browse to these sites just fine. However, while navigating through said sites, sometimes links will not open. They do open in MS Edge and Google Chrome. One example is on the Kreg Tool website - https://www.kregtool.com/shop/workspace/bench-system-components/universal-bench-base-with-standard-height-legs/BENCH-BASE-STANDARD.html - I am not able to select the bench size from the drop down list. Firefox goes into a loop then I have to refresh to get out of the loop. Hopefully someone can explain this or provide a workaround.

My daily backups of my personal account on a ubuntu-derived system are enormous. The first problem I found was the directory .cache, full of kinds of things that change daily and don't belong in a backup. I eliminated this directory from the backups, halving their size. So far so good. But the incremental backups are still huge, even on days where I've barely used the system at all.

The next biggest questionable directory is .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release and in particular .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/storage

$ du -sh .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/storage 2.2G .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/storage

It's pretty clear what program creates this and regularly changes it contents. Examining the files suggests that most or all of them are useless in a data-recovery type situation. But I'm not sure.

What's in this directory? Will the path change when I update to a new version of firefox, using normal ubuntu tools? Is there an rsync pattern I can use to identify all possible directories with this function, so as to teach my backup script to ignore not only the current directory, but the one I'll get when I next update firefox?

Are there other directories created/populated by firefox that shouldn't be in backups, besides .mozilla/firefox/05malccw.default-release/ and .cache/mozilla ?

Note that I'm on an ubuntu derivative, using the packages from the distro repositories; it's more than possible that paths are determines at build time, by the people who configure and build those packages.

I can't seem to be able do disable search suggestions, or at least make them appear after my bookmarks and browsing history, i.e. I used to be able to type "gm" and the first option would be my Gmail, not a google search for those letters.

If "provide search suggestions" is on, the box to show them "ahead of browsing history in address bar results" is greyed out and can't be toggled; if it is off, then the sub-option turns on.

This makes the autocompletion feature basically useless.

Is there some other way to change this? I've tried restarting the browser after a settings change, with no luck.

Usually I don't properly close my applications before rebooting or shutting down my machine. Firefox then restores my previous session, which I don't want.

I've tried the following but this didn't work:

• Verify "Open previous windows and tabs" isn't checked
• set `browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes` to 0
• set `browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash` to false

Do you have any idea, why this doesn't work? or any other ideas how I could disable this?

I keep getting a 403 error message when trying to access the British Airways website. This is the first time I have encountered this, although it is perhaps 3 years since I last flew BA. I have cleared my cache and cookies. I have also tried to access the same ba.com site using Edge - with the same error message. This suggests that the problem may lie with BA. However, they have no technical support that I can reach. So I do not know what to do next. I use Kaspersky anti-virus and Malwarebytes to screen for malware. I recently changed to Firefox from chrome and the focus on security and privacy was a much needed upgrade. However, every time I close my windows I'm logged out of all my accounts. I checked all the settings that would have that effect even escalating it to a clean install and unfortunately nothing works. After checking the support forums this setting seemed to be the one that fixed things, attached is a screenshot showing that its unchecked and that there is cookie data stored, so I'm really at a loss.

I have never maximized a Firefox window and I never will. After the latest update, all new windows, whether they are opened from another page via right-click or directly from the toolbar icon, open in a maximized view. I do not want this. Is there a way to prevent your program from inserting itself directly on top of everything else I'm working on? Have I accidentally changed a setting I cannot find again? I'd like to know if I need to find a new browser.

Firefox is running x 8 in my task manager at the moment. Why does it keep multiplying and slowing down my computer? I am almost ready to uninstall Firefox. If I merely need to revert to an earlier version of Firefox, please let me know how to do that. Thank you. Shannon

I've created 22 themes and in all of them the drop down menus such as "downloads", "history", "extensions", and "application menu", all became white instead of dark like they used to be. I really don't want to go through the process of fixing and reuploading them, I'd apprecate you looking into this and hopefully fixing it with a simple update. Please fix this problem, thank you!

Hello, I've got a reproduction issue on France TV live programs which I watch through nordvpn. The picture keeps "jumping" fast up and down in a very bothering way. This doesn't happen when the video is NOT live. I run the latest version of LINUX MINT. What can I do to fix it? The only way I found to stop the issue is to take down the resolution of the live video to its minimum which gives me a disastrous picture but stops the "jumping". I guess you might say there is something wrong with my GPU. The point is that my PC is brand new with an AMD 5600G, new MB, 16Gb of RAM and 500w of PSU. BUT more than anything I have to say that everything WORKS FINE with CHROME. I like FIREFOX I have been using it literally for decades now. (I'm 75). Is there a solution? I have the Bing search bar set for my home page on my Firefox Browser. I have had this setup for years with no problems until a couple of months ago. When I do searches for things and then try clicking on the "Clickable" links, I always get a blank page and the string for the website address(s) always begin with something similar to this; "https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p="; please see image attached. This happens rather I try opening one or many sites/pages for comparison. Below are the steps I have tried & the reasons I believe that the "clickable" links are the problem.

I type in the Bing bar my search topic. Bing will give me a bunch of links related to my search. If I find the one I want or several I want to check out, I'll click on the 'clickable' link(s) for the page(s). Bing will automatically open the link(s) in a new tab(s). *I do have my browser set to stay on the page that I am currently working on*. But even if I go to those pages right away, I still always get a blank page.

I'll use searching for 'IRS help' for my search example: I have tried several ways to get the links to open & they are as follows:

1) Type in the site address myself in the new Tab and use my keyboards 'Enter' key to go to it: -- This works of course -- But seeing as some address are very long this is not always helpful

2) Click on the 'Clickable' link for IRS's site: -- Bing will open a new tab itself, but will show a blank page with the link issue listed above when I go to it -- Doesn't work, Blank Page

3) Highlight the 'Clickable' link, right click it and select 'Open link in new tab' option: -- Again Bing opens the new tab, Blank page and link issue -- Even selected to open it in a new window and I get the same thing

4) Highlight/copy the 'Clickable' link, I open a new tab myself, then I right click to 'Paste' link and hit enter: -- Doesn't work, blank page

5) Highlight/copy the 'Clickable' link, I open a new tab myself, then I right click to 'Paste & Go" link: -- Doesn't work, blank page

6) I copy the 'Non-clickable' written out address(i.e. IRS.gov/help for example), Paste it in a new tab that I open and the choose one of these options: -- "Paste & Go' or 'Paste' and use my keyboards 'Enter' key. -- Both work, no problem -- But when your in a rush, this too can be time consuming.

Please advise. Is there something I am missing or may have done wrong? I have had Firefox and Bing for a very long time like I said and I truly hate having to use the other browsers, etc. but I need to be able to get things done in a crunch some days and so this is driving me crazy.
