My older Firefox 45.7.0 has no problems with https certificates. I am running this on Linux CentOS 7. I recently downloaded the updated Firefox 59 and ran it. But it cannot run https. It keeps giving me the Connection is not secure (SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER) error for every https site. And when I click the Advanced button, it does not have a button to allow me to add a security exception.
I added our company network proxy, specifically, even though it is set at the system level, just to see if that helped, but no luck.
I can't get to any https search engine (google, duckduckgo, etc.). Please help.

Dear Firefox.
I have to use XP ATM because of other software I have that doesn't like anything else!
Firefox can't play any videos anywhere in ordinary mode. In SAFE mode, it plays YouTube fine but not any streaming vids., it says 'no content with suitable MIME found' - that's probably not TOTALLY the right wording but the MIME part's right and the overall sense of what it's saying is correct. It can't play streaming video even on YouTube in any mode, though! I know it's not Windows XP because Chrome plays it all fine, it's just I don't like Chrome (feels like Big Brother is Watching Me!)
I've got Firefox 52.9.
Can this version play streaming video, or wasn't it ever able to?
Yours puzzledly - I don't understand why starting in SAFE mode makes it able to play any vids. at all. I thought SAFE mode just turned off all plug-ins, yet if I turn off all plug-ins and start it normally it can't play any video. Only in SAFE mode. So SAFE mode must be doing something else apart from turning off plugins - but what!?!?!
Chris.

I am using an oldish desktop PC with Windows XP, I have been having trouble with Kaspersky anti-virus software, and one step in their efforts to help me was to refresh/update Firefox. Since doing this, 3 problems have appeared: firstly some web pages now appear as a long list of blue links, bearing no resemblence to how they usually appear; secondly many websites now just show the message "Secure connection failed" (this message also appears on other websites which do function correctly), and thirdly my Flightradar24.com has now stopped working correctly (when I click on an individual plane, instead of its details appearing, an error message appears which reads "there was a problem fetching your data"). My problems with Kaspersky are ongoing and as yet unresolved, but it appears that the problems I describe in this message are to do with Firefox. Please can anyone advise how I obtain help to resolve these issues? Thank you.

In Facebook, if someone posts a Youtube video, it plays with no problem. But for months now, no other type of video will play. When I click on, a new page opens on top of the old one with a large viewing screen and an arrow to click to play. Every time I click on it, it simply refreshes but does not play. I just updated the newest Adobe Flash player and restarted three times. Firefox is updated. I have Windows Vista.
