When I signed into my mail account, this tab also opened: http://fnvfox.appspot.com/thankyou.html I then clicked on home and the website indicated under "Question" opened. I question the address because I had an incident when someone hacked my PayPal account (and put charges on the account) and my Bell (Phone) account offering a freebie--both addresses where not kosher. Thanks.

I'm having this strange problem where most of my Firefox is in English, but the add-ons and any content related to them I see are all in Italian. It started when prior to a holiday, I was studying Italian, and I was trying to set all of my programs in Italian to try and immerse myself, and I can't remember what I did, but I managed to only make the add-ons switch to Italian, but now that my holiday's over, the add-ons are stuck on the language, and even uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix it!

What do I do?

I unfortunately had the experience to have my left Shift key stuck when I reopened my browser. It gave me the option to 'refresh or reset' and not ever seeing this before I chose 'reset' which got rid of all my addon's and features.

Since that it mistakenly reset my browser I am now stuck in what seems like an eternal proverbial safe mode. I cannot download any files nor can I access any website which requires me to update data to my browser (this includes browser based games). Not only that any time I visit the Firefox support, the page is strictly text-only and makes trying to solve my problem ever so difficult (as it all just jumbles things together repeating itself numerous times.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the browser with no success in being able to access the net short of just text pages. This is an extreme frustration and would greatly appreciate any help in restoring my browser back to its wonderful self where I can browse with my favorite browser rather than using Microsoft Edge (like I am having to use right now to post this).

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,

Since a few days I cannot start Firefox. The process starts, but hangs with a fixed memory space and zero cpu usage, and the main window simply does not start. No crash report is created. Killing the process and try again is the only option.

I tried starting Firefox as Administrator, which does work (but is hardly recommended from a security perspective), and so does starting Firefox when Windows is in Safe Mode. Firefox also starts when the TrendMicro OfficeScan processes are stopped, but this is hardly a solution in a business environment, being admin on my machine is already a special case.

Periodically, in rare events, Firefox starts, but the next time the issue is back.

After trying several troubleshooting procedures, I have tried performing a clean install, to no avail: - Delete Mozilla folders from App Data (both Roaming and Local) - Uninstall Firefox - Delete possibly remaining Mozilla Firefox folder in Program Files (x86) - Run CCleaner - Restart - Re-install

Currently I'm looking into a procedure that would help me determine with certainty if OfficeScan is indeed guilty, and try to prove it to my IT service in order to get them to escalate to TrendMicro. Of course, if OfficeScan is not guilty, finding a solution would be perfect, too...

System information: - Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 - TrendMicro OfficeScan - Firefox latest release, 40.0.2 at the moment, from stub installer.

When I accessed my Contacts on Outlook.com (people/live.com) my contacts names are intact, but all the phone, mobile and work numbers, company name, notes and other information are missing from all of my contacts! The only information showing on individual contacts are their name at the top, the email and snail mail addy. I have over 500 contacts and most have other information besides just their names, email and postal address. When I select a contact that has multiple fields of information, such as phone, work, company, notes, ect. the field names show up but there is no data in those fields. Contacts where I've only input an email addy, no other field names show up.

When downloading my contact information from Outlook.com into excel file, all information appears in the excel file. When accessing my contacts on Outlook.com through IE and Chrome all the information shows up. My contact information syncs to my android phone and all information is intact. So it seems to be a communication problem with Firefox.

I have tried signing out of my Outlook.com account in all browsers, dumping all history and cache, trying different proxy settings under Firefox options (advance/ settings) with no resolution to the problem. This problem started Wed. or Thursday (8/14/15) and I am using Windows 8.1

Hi folks!

I spent over a half hour just getting registered to post here!!!

Why isn't there a link here:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/auth

... along the lines of "Don't have an account? Create one!" that takes me to the account creation process? Seems like a no-brainer to me. Instead I have to go through "ask a question" and step after step after step to get to what I already know - that I've found (or confirmed) a bug in version 40?

I couldn't find my way here via google, nor via the inhouse search form. Just back, over and over, to a page titled "Log in / Register" that DOESN'T LET ME REGISTER.

This isn't a question. I'm just pointing out to whoever might be listening that my user experience hasn't been good tonight. I mean, I'm trying to help, and like with so many other things about Firefox, the process of posting a question is so over-engineered that you're making it almost impossible for me not to switch to another browser (the only thing stopping me is that they're ALL over-engineered).

Thanks / sorry. I'd show you an image of the broken register page that isn't a registration page except - surprise - I can't upload a 6M png.

Mozilla, you are receiving hundreds of complaints every month about slow browsing and crashing (mainly with Flash), but you do nothing about it. It's not something new, this is coming way back in time. It's hard, really hard to believe you don't fix this because you can't. There must be some strong, big, superior reason that we all imagine but nobody mention. It's time to really speak louder as users and to say: FAIR ENOUGH! It's not possible that I am paying 60 Euros a month, in Spain, for a 300 Mbps fiber optic connection with Telefonica, one of the best connections in Europe, just to find out that your browser is ruining everything for you so you still browse as if you had a regular ADSL connection. I'm not talking about streaming, about Skype, about Spotify, ... no, I'm just talking about opening Facebook, or my favorite newspaper, which I like to parse for news every hour. Opening a new site means lagging, almost always, and it becomes worse the longer you had had Firefox installed. The only alibi you can use is that IE is worst than Firefox. That's true, and Chrome is not much better. I have to admit I use Firefox for other reasons which are good, but I cannot tolerate that you are making me lose money paying 60 Eur/month for a connection that you just ignore, just because you want. I cannot believe it takes about 15 seconds to see my Facebook page. This can't be real. I have just seen a suggestion in the Q&A saying that I probably should create a new profile. Why all this? Why keeping all that amount of garbage making, not only browsing, but my whole computer super slow? garbage that the user actually don't need. You keep all that crap for reasons that you and me and any computer literate person knows very well. I have 4 GB of RAM in this machine, and just when Firefox start, it goes from 2GB free RAM to merely 300 MB. I am a low level software developer, do you want me to trust that you really need that? Stop stealing people resources. We pay for them, not you.

Gotta say it. I don't feel better, and you will ignore this rude message, but then you'll know that you are not the star in this world. Do the job the right way, and help make this world a better place. It's not that difficult, and using your browser is not as free as you pretend.

Good bye.

I got a new computer with Windows 10 and installed Firefox 40.0.2. Even with this fresh install, I've been experiencing a very frustrating number of crashes.

I can consistently trigger a crash by trying to inspect an element or by trying to install Firebug.

To resolve the issue I have tried:

- making sure that Adobe Flash/Shockwave is disabled - disabling the NoScript add-on - opening Firefox with a new, fresh profile (even though I did not import a profile from my old Windows 7 machine so the profile should have already been pretty "fresh")

Here are my crash reports for the last 1/2 hour: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-cc02b456-7a7a-4386-b30f-014422150823 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-c25dbcb8-489a-4870-9a85-626c22150823 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-ce261672-72f5-484b-a3e4-0380c2150823 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-085e4118-2160-4f8e-9f2d-43e402150823 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-8cbef911-fb77-4c4f-b3a8-316d92150823

Firefox has long been my default browser but I'm worried I'll need to abandon it! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Upon exit from Firefox (IE, click "X" in the window-pane) I get the Mozilla crash reporter: We're Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. I then fill out the info to contact me about this problem. I also get this message (sometimes) when I request a page be printed out. This second problem is VERY annoying because I have to bring firefox back up and get to the page to print all over again. So I uninstalled firefox and downloaded a new copy and installed it. I get the same results. This is SO frustrating. How do I fix this? I'm running a PC with an i5-4430 processor, 8GB of memory, and a 1TB hard drive, and Windows 10 (upgraded from 8.1 - firefox was working fine on 8.1)

So far no one has contacted me and I've been doing this for almost 2 weeks now. BTW: I used the same email address.

I got a new windows10 laptop recently, installed firefox, and now firefox is saying "This Connection is Untrusted" with many sites, even the searchbar. I've noticed that if i google something straight from the searchbar it'll tell me "untrusted connection"; however if i were to remove the s from "https" then i'll be able to get to the site. Example: i googled 'hello', the address that turned up untrusted connection was "https://www.google.com/search?q=hello&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8", upon removing the s, i could get to the site, the site address became "https://www.google.com.sg/search?q=hello&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&safe=active&gws_rd=cr,ssl&ei=5u3TVevvNsnk0gSEiZ7QDg&safe=active". Yes, my date and time is set correctly. I am using AVG antivirus on Asus Zenbook. I've tried many solutions in the many forums including this support forum. Please help, it's really annoying me.

Here's the full details of "untrusted connection":

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to www.youtube.com, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified. What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate."
