I am trying to configure Firefox so I can use my CAC card reader with it. My problem is when I try to load a module under Tools>Options>Advanced>Encryption>Security Devices. When I try to load acpkcs201.dll (or any of the other alternate .dll files) I get an error message that says "Unable to load module".

When I try to use the DoD Configuration 1.2 add-on from forge.mil, it also is unable to make this configuration.

The CAC reader and software works fine under Chrome and IE. The only problem is the .dll wont load up in Firefox using the add-on or manually.

Does anyone know how to make this module load properly?

I am using: Windows 7 x64 Firefox 3.6.9 SCR331 card reader ActivClient 6.2

Hello. I'll have to apologise in advance because I'm not very technical! We have Mozilla Firefox and for a while now websites have not been showing correctly. To try to explain, the pages are always white with a basic font in black. Some pages also have black lines through text. Some graphics are not showing such as for example the google logo on google.com/co.uk and others such as the 'add to basket' on amazon (that type of graphic) Photos seem to be showing. Nothing is displaying quite right in terms of position on page etc. Can anybody help me solve this problem? I have searched online for hours on end to no avail, contacted internet provider with no response, cleared the cache, uninstalled and reinstalled firefox, cleared all cookies, checked page style is correct, checked Javascript is working correctly, disabled anti-viral software to see if that was the cause...none of which have had any effect at all. Anybody any ideas? Regards, Sarah

I sometimes see a video on a website that I'd like to save. I'd expect to click on it, and hit [copy], and [paste] it in a folder. Or [Save as...], and give it a name and address. But no: no can do. Is there a utility or plug-in I need, or is there a Firefox feature I'm unaware of? I'm running Windows Vista, on a dialup, so once I download something I'd rather keep it than do it again.

I never save passwords - never have, never will. Using evil IE, Gmail works correctly in that it prompts me for ID and password for each new browser instance. Yet when I open gmail with FF, it goes straight to my inbox without prompting for ID or password. I use gmail in "always secure" mode. Cookies are enabled, of course, just did not expect my password to be saved and loaded from a cookie. How can I rectify this problem?

Previously, the icons for add-ons (e.g., noscript, the weather, or reminders) were displayed at the bottom of my screen, and I could click on them to perform the relevant function. Now they are not displayed, and I don't know how to get them back. I'm particularly interested in getting back noscript, as I almost always use it, but I regularly accessed a lot of add-ons from the now-missing information bar. I don't even know what this information/icon bar/display is called.

Hi,

Thanks for any help in advance.

Of course the new Firefox is messing with me...But I have one specific question...

Facts...

1) I own a iMac...17 inch...So I can open lots and lots of tabs at once.

2) I just rebooted my computer back to brand new.

3) I'm working on finding all my old stuff, but can't seem to find two specific items...

In the previous version, and before I rebooted, I had about 40 tabs (Including Cluster Tabs) opening-up whenever I started a browse session. But now, I can't seem to control the size of the tabs, so they get less narrow as I had them?

I've already downloaded "Vulcanize Tabs" but that's no help...I think it was a specific theme that allowed me to do this, but many of the themes don't work with this new version of Firefox.

I suspect I'll just have to wait until the themes are updated? Or, do you have a better idea?

Also...

I want to get rid of the "X" on each tab and only have a close tab button on the far right of my tabs navigation bar.

Any help?

If so, thanks again!

Ps...Is there a way to reverse my downloading of this newest Firefox version and go back to the previous one until this new one gets many of the bugs worked-out?
