This, I am happy to say, does not happen with every website I visit, but it happens often enough to be a real nuisance.

Here is a list of *some* of the webpages where I have encountered this phenomenon:

http://preview.tinyurl.com/omeov9u

http://preview.tinyurl.com/yrtpxf (all Wikipedia pages)

http://preview.tinyurl.com/ppp8vog (all tv-series.me pages)

Sure hope that there is an easy solution. I reverted to the Classic Display to work around it, only to find that it didn't solve the problem.

Cheers, Tony

Hello, I am having issues with Firefox rendering text badly and other graphical issues regardless of hardware acceleration.

With hardware acceleration turned ON, I have issues with "ghost text cursors" appearing in various parts of the interface, most notably in the tabs next to the X button on each tab, but also other sections of the interface as well. Text is rendered at correct thickness, but in some cases blinks back and forth from correct to too-thin (see below/off) in sync with the blinking speed of text cursors.

With hardware acceleration turned OFF, I have issues where text in menus and webpages are rendered too thin, making it extremely hard to see. The blinking issues and artifacts are gone, however.

I am using an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti with the latest driver version (344.48).

This only started happening around version 33.0, possibly one version older (not 100% sure). I really don't want to pick and choose between which crappy experience I'd rather have. I just want text to render how it used to, nice and clean and legible. What can I try to remedy this?

Well as you can see whenever FF needs a restart, by clicking an updated add-on or using "restartless restart" add-on it closes down and won't restart. If after waiting you try to reload FF the system says FF is running you must close FF. Only way to do this is to use Cont + Alt + Del keys and delete the FF app in task mgr. Been a long time (very) since the last time it did this. Please note that I had to manually down this Ver (33.0.1) and the dialog box (2nd. below) says Ver 33.0 .

My Firefox installation (v33) does not play HMTL5 audio. I am referring to audio (MP3) tracks you can listen from your personal Google Drive. The stream does not start, there is no duration of the track being populated.

- Youtube HTML5 player works fine both for Audio and Video - Tried Incognito mode (no cache and cookies) - Tried rebooting without Add-ons (I use Adblock and other stuff) - Tried restoring Firefox.

None of these helped.

- IE11 and Chrome v38, the browser do stream fine - A clean Firefox (on my VM for example) does stream fine

Any hints?

EDIT: Coud I be affected by this? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=911837

It's 12 am and I usually wake up around this time for some odd reason. So, I get on my laptop, and I see that I forgot to close a popup that was produced when I was looking at lyrics to a song. After I closed it out, I saw another window that said something like "firefox needs to update". So, without thinking, I clicked it. Did I just mess up really bad, or did I NOT just make a huge mistake?
