I've recently had a little video window appear in the bottom right corner of my browser screen. I can't find any control link to eliminate it other than closing it manually every time it appears. Where did it come from and how do I get rid of it?

I have two desktop icons for Firefox. Each opens to a different file. How do I clear the old file? What do I do about the message that Firefox can not update automatically? Where do I look to see Firefox file and see what date it is downloaded? If it is operational? Why is the same series of problems repeating daily?

When choosing biometrics for 2-factor authentication, sometimes Firefox will only prompt for a physical hardware key, and Touch ID does not work. Support for built-in biometrics is inconsistent.

For reference, I am using Mac OS Sonoma 14.4.1 with an ARM processor.

My elderly mother has twice (in the last month alone!) been scammed by selecting the first thing that comes along in a Google search. I realize this is simply never going to change, and I need to take steps to prevent her from ever seeing any sponsored results of any kind, or any kind of address bar autocomplete suggestion.

I have taken several dozen hours of my personal time this past month to repair the damage from her first scam experience (that I know about!), and today's incident made me realize that I have to do much more customization of her browser than I previously imagined. When I told her to never fully trust a Google search, her reply was "but I used Firefox!", and that told me everything I needed to know. It simply cannot be left to her understanding of the internet.

The intended setup is an iPad and a Win11 laptop. I would like to set up Firefox so that the address bar is nothing but an address bar without any kind of autocomplete at all. Is this even possible?

Also, I obviously can't filter every scam known to man, but I would like to specifically block the kind of pop-ups and ads that scammers use. What is a good strategy for this specific purpose? I don't care about legitimate marketing ads, even though they're annoying to me personally.

I noticed that FireFox downloaded a Firefox HTML Document called GnT6qZGD with a size of 0KB, during this time I had tabs open from both https://wago.io/weakauras and https://www.curseforge.com/

Scanned it with Bitdefender and it was clean and when editing in notepad it is empty and a blank page when accidentally opening it.

Then completed a full system scan and it come up as clean.

I have 2 questions,

1st, Is this still a bug in Firefox that appears to have been reported before? 2nd Should I be concerned about it?

Most of the time I cannot print my emails because an "add blocker" is installed. So now, I no longer use Firefox, since when I use Microsoft, I have no such problem.

in the firefox browser is there any way to see the casting the browser screen to chromecast on tv. similar to 'cast to media device' in edge browser or chrome browser.

This started a few weeks ago. I thought it might have been because I synced the passwords with other devices. I reverted it back.

When in about:logins, I click on the log in button but nothing happens.

I received a scam Apple (security) popup (on which I never clicked) and from that point on, some 30+ obsolete tabs congregate across the top Firefox browser window. How do i lose all these unwanted tabs?

Firefox slows down when I use web developer tools, I use this whenever I try to save an image on Instagram or other sites that I go to just to save an image or look for the video using the web tools.

Is there a way to fix this issue it lags the browser or it freezes for a second.

Whenever I select tab and then start typing in the page search box it automatically jumps to the URL/Address bar. This is not only annoying but it makes it difficult for me to see what I'm typing, and it often results in unwanted typing errors. I have yet to encounter a single longtime Firefox user who thinks this is a good idea, but I have met several who've decided to drop Firefox and start using Chrome just to be done with it. I've been using Firefox since early 2005 and I've mostly been happy with it but this is just to annoying to continue. I'm complaining because the feature exits, I'm complaining because there's no option to opt for those of us who find it annoying and will never become comfortable with it.

If there is a working fix that I've been unable to find, then please point me to where or what it is so that I can apply it.

I have managed to figure out ways to remove items from context menus from various pages here and around the web however it always seems to leave an additional unwanted separator line that I cannot find how to get rid of.

There are a number of additional lines I am looking to remove but the current one that is annoying me (based on most usage) is the additional line between 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' and Search which is an add-on - Simple Context Search - https://tinyurl.com/yck5c (as shown in the attachment).

I did have 'search google for...' directly above the 'Search for Google' option which I removed.

I also removed 'Copy Link' which was above the 'Copy Link Without Site Tracking' option which I also removed.

Hope the above makes sense and any help greatfully appreciated.

I am a Salesforce (improveit! 360) user, exclusively browsing with Firefox for over 12 years without any problems. The most recent Firefox update 125.0.2 (64-bit) has caused an issue with my staff calendar. I have reached out to improveit! 360 they are a force.com developer and they will not help, said the error is caused by Firefox interpreting the code. I have figured out a work around to get the calendar to load correctly for a short term solution. Below is a screenshot of the error, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was playing around with my DMARC settings for my new site and was looking around at who was hosting my WordPress domain for http://ibizignite.com, and Google directed me to GoDaddy. That was wrong. However, in my fooling around, somehow GoDaddy and this associate Westechnologies keeps popping up when I open up my browser after booting up my computer, and I cannot get rid of it. I don't know where to find it, because there is no associated extension anywhere in my extension list.

I tried to use another add-on to block it, and it does, but the darn site keeps appearing every startup after a fresh boot, and neither Westechnologies not GoDaddy appear anywhere in my Zone Map or anywhere else in my registry. Can anyone help me get rid of it please?

Please see the attached screenshot. I get this popup EVERY TIME I open FireFox. I've tried a number of different suggested "fixes" from Google Searches with no success.

I want this popup GONE.

When you added a bookmark to a site in Firefox there used to be an option that when you hovered over the bookmark a dropdown would appear showing recent changes or additions to the site (see attached). It doesn't seem to be there any more - is there any means of restoring it? Thank you.

Others asked and were pointed to extensions. As long as extensions get access to my pages, I'm not willing to use any. So, is there an option in advanced settings, to return to previously viewed tab when I close a tab? Thanks, Cat
