Where do I find the menu button in order to update to current version?

Firefox worked just fine until yesterday (5th May). My computer is an AMD 32bit processor running windows xp . I'm currently using the CometBird browser, but some of the web sites I visit keep asking me to upgrade to a newer browser. I hope you can help me:) Kindest regards Roger Reynolds

I have instaled the latest version of mozilla firefox version 33.stub from the official website.
When I open the browser i can see only the top bar(blue collored where I can see the name of the page I access), then downward is a transparent 3 cm zone and after that everything is black.
If i go and click where my bookmarks suposed to be, it apears like the page is loading because i see it's name on the blue bar and if the website has a video part, that one works perfectly but the rest of the page is black.
What do I have to do to make it work? Maybe it's just some aditional software that I have to Install.
I have a Samsung NP300E5Z-S01RO Laptop with 4 Gb RAM and Intel core i3 proccesor.

How can I get rid of a split screen?

Problem is as follows. When I press down, SOME pages just go right to the bottom. Some do not. This page I am on right now does not, but half of the pages I have opened are. It seems really inconsistent. Facebook does it always. TV.com does it some of the time. Many other pages do it some or all of the time.
I have tried with both Caret browsing on, and off. When it is ON it does it to every page. When it is off it does it to some pages. I want to make it not happen to ANY pages. I have tried disabling it via f7, and then I tried with about:config. Nothing changed.
I uninstalled Firefox and downloaded the latest version, which as of 10 minutes ago was 26.0. Had to get the installer from a 3rd party site cause you refuse to host redistributable's on your page for some reason. but I digress. Absolutely no change. Uninstalled it again and restored my current one. Same thing
I have 4 different Firefox profiles as I use different ones for different things and have different mod configurations for each. The problem is across all 4 profiles.
I then made an entirely new profile (do this all the time) and tried it again. no history, default settings, no addons. No change
Once again, Caret browsing didn't fix it. Also, I do not want to use the "Always use the cursor to navigate within pages" as that only scrolls the page through text. Soon as you get to a chunk with no text it jumps that area till next part of text.
Here are some examples. None of these links are adult http://www.tv.com/ - Scrolling correctly. But if I go to a sub page it no longer scrolls right. Example: http://www.tv.com/shows/house/son-of-coma-guy-862303/ - DOES NOT SCROLL CORRECTLY. http://www.facebook.com - NEVER SCROLLS CORRECTLY. EVER. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinosaur - Always scrolls correctly

it's very bad idle.
so I try to write a wrap, this wrapper helps user to get root permission when runs the applet. than firefox is normal user's process.
wrapper is easy to write, but how can I customer java path.
BTW, I want only firefox to use this wrapper.

From what I understand, Firefox create a daily backup of it's bookmarks in a .json file the first time it closes each day. We found that if a user has already closed Firefox in the present day (and the .json bookmarkbackup file is already created for the present day), it won't add to this file the bookmarks added later in the day at futures Firefox closes...
So if, for example, places.sqlite gets corrupted later in the day, all new bookmarks added after the first close (and creation of original daily backup) of Firefox aren't backuped...
Is there any way to set it so that each time it closes for the current day, it regenerate the daily backup of bookmarks with the lastest bookmarked pages?

However, when I am on the FF page where it tells you which plug-ins are okay and which are outdated (with a warning), at the top of the page there is a message saying that my computer "Does not meet the requirements to run Firefox". And yet I have it and use it! Maybe the message actually means that I can't update to the latest version? But also I don't know if I should go ahead and try to download the updated plug-ins. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The following error comes up when I try to install the updated Firefox: "The operation can’t be completed because some items had to be skipped. For each item, choose File > Get Info, make sure “Locked” is deselected, and then check the Sharing & Permissions section. When you are sure the items are unlocked and not designated as Read Only or No Access, try again."
When I follow the instructions in the error message, it shows that my user name has read and write access. There are a couple other items that are read only. I tried to change this to read and write, but the Sharing and Permissions options are greyed out and will not let me change them. What is the work around for this? I would really like to install the new firefox.

I do not know what all started everything. I have been using Mozilla Firefox as my #1, favorite and of course my preferred browser over Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera...It is just awesome. Also, I had been using DAP 10 Premium downloader, SpeedBit downloader and converter. Everything to go well for over 1 year. Then all of a sudden, sometime about 2 months ago, I opened my browser, tried to run it so that I may go online. Lo and behold I received a message saying: C:\Program Files\Common Files\SpeedBit\SBUpdate\sbfi32.dll is missing. Try re-installing the program again to correct the problem. Well I did--- probably at least 20 times, but no help, It did not work. Now, I can't even open most of my programs/software because the same message keeps popping up. I personally think that something should be done to those who wrote the program--if they intended something malicious [in] the software--I REALLY NEED HELP!!!

All of a sudden I get 288 messages telling me that ...\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\3va5xqqp.default\Cache\*\**\******** is a HIGH THREAT during my weekly AVAST run. THis is the paid for Internet version of Avast and I have not updated it or Firefox recently. The "*" in the code are different directories and files that are unique to each line. So there are 288 variations. Will run a boot time scan now before just deleting these. IF the boot time scan finds them as infected it will clear them out. The browser seems to have no problems. So I am really confused.. Any help will be appreciated. All of the messages are listing firefox as being infected.
Is their a way you can restrict someone on accessing a site on Firefox so they can not access. No Youtube site for a minor

Прошу простить меня за вопрос, не относящийся только к фф, но вы последняя надежда. Уже более полугода мучаюсь. Вышеуказанные сайты грузятся раз через 10 (в 9 случаях из 10 получаю уведомление "Соединение было сброшено").
Вины провайдера (МТС коннект 3G) в том нет - пробовал на другой машине с тем же модемом и все работает. Другие браузеры так же отказались грузить эти сайты (Опера, Хром, IE). Грузит их только TOR. Файл Hosts чист, антивирус - Nod 32 Eset Smart Security 6. Фаервол не мешает (отключал, добавил сайты в список исключений), да и вообще антивирус тут не при чем (вчера переустанавливал систему - так проблема возникла еще до установки последнего). Брандмауэр отключен (Windows XP SP3, 32). Бана моей подсети на сайте нет - узнавал. Сайты работают у других, без сомнений. Вирусов нет (проверял уже чем угодно...AVZ, Nod, Antimalware, Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool). Трассировка идет нормально (иногда бывают потери на конечном хосте). Прямой ввод ip сфйта в адресную строку не принес результата.
