click url links embedded in email don't work. I tried the "fix" to go to thunderbird (email account) and follow tools-options-...but when I got to "advanced" it would not click. Clearing the "cache" seems to be important, but I'm not even sure that's the problem. It started to develop after I upgraded some add-on movie-audio feature to firefox. So, I suspect there is some incompatibility there. Please help.

Is there a way to force start a new session easily? I usually save my tabs and windows when I shut FF down, but occasionally I would like to start a new sessions. It seems the only way to do this conveniently is to force crash FF. I already know about the config of FF (hence my tabs and windows are saved without a prompt when I quit FF), and would like a simpler solution. If there isn't one, it would be a nice feature to have, some simple keystroke to have a new session (and erase the cookies from the previous one) without having to change settings in the config, only to change them back again for normal usage.

So originally, Firefox 11 was annoying me by adding an unsolicited homepage to my tabs every time I start the stupid thing, demanding that I should update a variety of plugins that I don't need to disable but don't care to upgrade until I actually need to. I started a query about that.

Then this support site very "helpfully" decided to throw an error and delete my whole post.

I have no reason to upgrade Firefox and no reason to update or delete the 3 or 4 addons that Firefox keeps whining about. This thing is just a mongoloid following me around offering helpful advice about how tasty spaghetti is while I'm at work.

How do I make this idiot stop "helping" me?

Several times over the last couple weeks, I type up a very well thought out response on Facebook in political conversations with friends. An hour or two into my work, I hit backspace with the intent of editing what I wrote (maybe after I scrolled or something, so maybe I unintentionally took the edit window out of focus). The navigator takes me back a page and I lose my two hours of work. Infuriating! Shortcuts with the ability to wipe out two hours of works should be disable-able. Not only that, I feel that is an unsafe shortcut for this very reason, and would have added a SHIFT modifier key or something like that. I think I invented a cool word: disable-able.

Starting yesterday the email list in yahoo mail inbox was all crowded to the top of the page and harder to read. Font also smaller when opening individual messages. Zooming in font helps with individual emails but makes the lines in the inbox message list overlap each other. This is not happening in IE but I prefer Firefox. Why is this happening?

I downloaded a PDF several months ago; I can see it in my downloads history. When I right click it there, I see the link to the PDF itself, but I need to know the actual page it came from. I've checked my History, but cannot identify the page. Is there a definitive way of determining the URL of the page that linked to the document?

Since reinitialising my Windows XP computer Firefox 11.0 refuses me access to a site that previously was acceptable. I use this site to book an online appointment at my health centre. I now get the message "this connection is untrusted" and am presented with just the "get me out of here" click box. There is no opportunity to add it as an exception.

Internet Explorer (which I am loathe to use) tells me that the certificate has a valid name and date, but that I have chosen not to trust the company. How do I get out of this? I can find no way to mark this sirte as trustworthy.

I use Firefox constantly. I'm now on version 11 but not much has changed. I've been forced to disable most every plugin and extension trying to troubleshoot my issues and I still have the same problems. No matter what site(s) I'm on after 2 or 3 clicks I get the running circle and the browser freezes. If I click again, I get the "Not Responding" message in the top bar. Most of the time it recovers within 30 seconds to 2 minutes and I can continue. Very often the whole thing freezes with no message but before long I get : Script: resource://gre/modules/XPCOMUtils.jsm:331 or Script: resource:///components/nsPrompter.js:466 and neither seems to be attached to any plugin or extension. No matter which version I've used and no matter what site I'm on this happens. I've decreased my allowed scripts to run time to "20" and disabled everything including hardware acceleration. ALSO, about 50% of the time when I'm editing my own site, all of a sudden it becomes VERY sluggish and takes too much time to do anything. When this happens I've switched right over to IE9 and have none of these issues. I also have an error log as long as your arm. Troubleshooting information is below. Please help!

The address bar at the top of the browser window doesn't work. It displays the address of the page I'm on just fine, but when I type in an address and hit either "enter" or the little "go to this address" forward arrow, nothing happens. In addition, the arrow is always grayed out.

It doesn't have anything to do with the address being invalid, as it happens even if I copy an address from a page I was on previously (which I did just to check).

Okay, I've been a Firefox user whole my life, since its genesis, and never been so angry.

2-3 days ago I updated my Flash Player to 11.2.202.228, since then it's lagging as hell. YouTube, Facebook, everywhere. When I play a video on YouTube it will lag and skip parts of the picture with audio still running as it should, and sometimes even the audio stops. just... it is lagging. its annoying. Well, guess what. It doesnt stop here.

10 minutes ago, while I'm browsing Im receiving a message out of nowhere, it just popped up and says:
