I am running Windows. On the windows task bar I have my language set to English(Canada). When I start Firefox browser it changes my language bar to PT(Portugal). I then have to go to my task bar and change it back to English(Canada). It then stays set to English until the next time I again start Firefox when it again changes it to PT. I would like to stop Firefox from changing the language and allow me to change it when I so desire. Can someone please help me accomplish this? Thank you

The West Virginia cultural service upgraded their website.

https://archive.wvculture.org/vrr/va_select.aspx

After the upgrade, I and many others cannot view the images in Firefox.

Some other browsers are not affected.

I have gone through the troubleshooting guide but still cannot view the images.

https://archive.wvculture.org/vrr/va_bcresults.aspx?LastName=Fisher&FirstName=&Gender=NA&County=Jackson&Year=All&PlusMinus=Exact&Search=Exact&NumRec=25

Any help is appreciated. Terry

A little background info: When they upgraded the site there was a great uproar because these images were shared on many, many genealogy sites. The links were killed and the web developers made a change that redirected the old links to the new. I don't know the technical aspect.

Every time I try to open a web page or go back to home page nothing loads. The only way I can get web pages to load is to delete history then they will load. I even tried all settings to delete everything when I close Mozilla, and that only works if I close Mozilla. I don't understand why I have to constantly delete everything before any web pages will load. EXAMPLE: I open Mozilla and it opens to msn.com which is my default home page. I right click on an article to open in new tab and it opens just fine, but when I try another web page it opens blank and nothing loads, I have to delete history, cache basically everything then those pages will load. But as soon as I try to open another I have to delete history etc etc again,to get any to load. Don't really understand why that happens and yes Mozilla is running on current version and yes I have tried to uninstall Mozilla and re install same thing happens.

I'm experiencing the same problem as described by the user in the post at [1] --- in short, every time I delete an old certificate from my browser, it appears to be successful, but then when I refresh firefox I see that the old certificate is in fact still there. I tried the solutions described in [1] (deleting the cert9.db and cert8.db with firefox closed) but my problem persists. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm using Firefox 106.0.5 on Mac OS Catalina.

Websites browsing history does not update or delete. Opening the sidebar, right clicking on an entry and using Forget About this site or Delete Page has no effect. Menu>Settings>Privacy. Private is unchecked. I've selected Clear History Time Range Everything, all boxes checked. Settings When closed Firefox should delete all boxes checked.

Remember Browsing History and it doesn't update when I open the sidebar. Last Visited is the only selection that shows any sites and it doesn't update as I browse new sites. By Date and Site, Most Visited, by site, by date do not show any sites.

I've even uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled and not sure how but it has the same history as well as last tabs opened.

Hi. Firefox is my main browser and I use it also on my business corporate laptop under Win64bit. Only recently each time Firefox needs to install an update, a window pops up asking for permission of the admin (and I am not the admin), so I have to call the IT dpt and ask an admin to log in and give its authorization. The IT team told me that it's not a problem of the corporate firewall and it's up to Mozilla to set the update process so as to avoid asking a high level authorization. This problem is becoming very annoying, as the Firefox updates are usually very frequent. Can you do something to fix it? Thanks, kind regards Fabrizio Venice, Italy

Hi there! I've spent the better part of my evening following various troubleshooting techniques and tips, but none of them have worked. I've refreshed firefox, restarted everything. I am someone who turns my computer off regularly as well, so that isn't a factor.

As I am typing this, the issue is happening.

Every time I try to type longer than a sentence, especially in email, and only in firefox (I have tried several different browsers to see if it was an issue elsewhere, but it's only local to firefox), firefox slows right down. It isn't just email, either. I tested it on a tweet, tested it on other websites, just randomly typing and it continues to happen.

I'll be typing and the words will take 10-15 seconds to appear on the screen, and my computer makes a weird whirring noise. I am positive that it's a CPU issue for firefox only, but even following all of the steps listed in the help section, it still happens. And now I'm at a little bit of a loss of what to do.

I have a HP computer, and use Windows 11, and plenty of RAM (the computer is less than a year old).

If anyone is able to help, that would be wonderful.

Thank you so much.

Firefox keeps automatically downloading the file, then after viewing it, I have to manually delete. I don't to do this! I just want to view the file and if I want to keep it, I'll save a copy. This is extremely annoying! Can I change the settings so that the file won't automatically save to my computer? and i want show my file or pdf then i want to download the file

Hello,

My version of Firefox started to malfunction.

Found the latest version of Firefox available, and installed it.

Resulted in total loss of data, I lost all bookmarks, passwords, and add-ons.

A folder called "Old Firefox data" was created on my desktop.

Is there still a chance to recover my data?

Why was all data lost?

I just bought a new computer and signed into my account like normal. Bookmarks won't sync. I've been through about 3 computers over the last year and haven't had any issues till now. I've tried everything I can think of including: reinstall Firefox, sign in and out, reboot, click on sync several times, and nothing. Help! I'm using Windows 11 for the first time. Is that the issue?
