When using built in search (google default) -- browser stops responding. Shows Firefox new tab background when loading the search. Issue resolves on Firefox close and re-open. Paste and go, creating new tabs also fail with same 'new tab background' displayed. Issue is intermittent but appears often, at least 4-5 times a day.

Tested same sample search with google chrome in same time period, no issue.

Issue appeared around the V99 update. Fix would be greatly appreciated - exiting and re-opening browser, dropping all tabs to reload is a serious usability issue.

Still can't print from Firefox at all - Print Preview error or Stuck in Spooler - Windows 10 Pro x64

I am now currently running Firefox 100 and I still have the same problem I posted months ago. Firefox refuses to print anything, even to virtual printer drivers such as Microsoft Print to PDF. The document(s) always get stuck in the spooler and the only way to clear them is to stop the Print Spooler service and restart it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox a number of times with no solution.

I can print from any other browser or application with no problems. This is purely, as far as I can tell, a Firefox-specific problem.

I've explored every Firefox Preference setting I can find that has anything to do with printing. If anyone can help, please do. It's very frustrating to have to change to another browser to print from. I've primarily used Firefox for well over 10 years.

Also related: if someone can point me to how to reset JUST the printer settings to their default, I can start from there. It may even fix my problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

indicates I no longer can access my page until I find the remedy to this issue. Thank you in advance for cooperation and help with is matter.

First image shows me using a dark theme, but address bar still has white background. Second image shows that switching to the light theme makes the text readable. However, I would still like to use a dark theme. I believe I started seeing this issue right when Firefox updated itself to version 100. Any way to fix the bugged address bar color? None of my extension should be affecting the address bar color.

Hi. How do I give permission to Firefox to open a webpage? There seems to be a firewall issue or something? Please provide the exact steps to allow a URL to be opened with my permission. I have completely separate bookmarks and bookmark toolbars on my work PC and home PC. I do log in on my home PC as to not lose my personal bookmarks and passwords. I accidentally logged into Firefox at work and it merged my bookmarks from my home PC. I logged out of Firefox on the work PC and removed the bookmarks that were imported from my home PC profile. I then tried to make a new account with my work email and login to sync on my work PC but it always says primary email needed and I'm stuck. I did go to about:profiles and add a work profile but that doesn't help me. I need to make a Firefox profile on my work PC with my work email address but the primary email thing gets me. Is there a way to do this with my current work PC bookmarks not lost? Thanks

I have a world icon on tool bar with a red triangle notification. when i press on it it says "Cant connect to application" check your configuration. It does not allow me to open either statement. What is this?

How can I change the color of my Bookmarks Bar? After Firefox did an update a few days ago, my Bookmarks Bar is now white instead of blue...the way it was before the update.

I don't mean "saving" login information for later use, that I do not want to do. What I mean by the login not being retained is that when I log-in to a website like say Amazon, while I'm browsing, I end up having to re-enter my login information pretty much every other time that I switch between pages. I've never had an issue like that with any other browser. Is there some setting I need to adjust to stop that from happening? As I said, I'm not looking to save my passwords and usernames within the browser, I just want to effectively browse a website after logging into it without needing to login every time I move between pages. After the last update, I've been getting news story pop ups in the bottom right corner. How do I shut this off? I have gone into Settings and shut off the various notification and push options that always seem to turn on after updates, but it continues. I never got the pop ups until right after the last update finished.

I've noticed for some time now that when I access the history tab and see what there, there is nothing in it. In the past when I accessed it, it would show the sites I had visited. Not any longer. How do I fix the problem?

Using Firefox on desktop, Windows 11. I am a long term Firefox fan/user.

My problem is I cannot find anywhere an easy method to add a shortcut on my Home Screen (which has now been a FF feature for some considerable time).

I am sure there was something available to do this in a prior version some time back. If I search the internet, I only come across articles describing how to do it on Firefox Android.

I know I can manually edit a box on the Home Screen to create what I need.

Sometimes new web sites that I visit appear in the boxes and I can then pin them in place - but the behavior around this is very erratic and unreliable - seems like random chance for an icon to appear on the home screen for a newly visited site. If this was more consistent, I could work with that.

BUT - where is the **intuitive** option??!!

I should be able to right-click on a tab and select "Add to Home Screen".

As simple as that.

Or drag and drop a link, or tab to the home screen - but this just opens the link. I have tried everything obvious that I can think of.

scrolling via up/down keys do not work on half the webpages i vist. other browsers scroll just fine, but not firefox. i want to continue using firefox, but like many others i know, i will stop using firefox is this issue cannot be resolved.

can someone tell me how to reverse this mess? I refreshed in an effort to get my vanished toolbar back. That worked. NOW, nothing works. I have a toolbar that connects to nothing. if you know this is going to break all the time, can't you just write a macro to fix it? I have followed all the instructions I can find, and it still doesn't work. I REALLLLLLLLY don't want to dump firefox, but I need something reliable that works.

Hi folks, I'm having trouble with importing old firefox stored passwords to new account. I got all the old data (logins.json, key3, key4,...)

I tried copying the logins.json and key3/key4.dbf file into the firebird profile root directory but they dont seem to load. It doesn't show anything no matter if I'm logged into a firebird account or not.

Since the old files are only a week old I'm guessing I shouldn't need to convert files.

When I convert logins.json file to csv I see the info is there.

What's the catch?

Hello, yesterday my Firefox started exhibiting very weird problems. Websites often fail to load and I get a We're having trouble finding that site, which I pass by refreshing the page, sometimes it takes one refresh, sometimes even 5-6. The tabs also crash randomly (this started happening today). Other web browsers do not exhibit that problem. I tried: - clearing cookies and site data - refreshing Firefox - re-enabling Firefox in the Firewall - completely reinstalling Firefox - restarting my router - the problem also happens in Troubleshoot mode

Ive sunk a lot of hours into trying to fix this problem, but it always comes back. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
