This isn't the first time this has happened. After each occurrence, I have to completely uninstall the browser and reinstall it from scratch. This means I have to reopen all my tabs, which is very annoying. In Chrome, I have had a large number of tabs open for many years and it works fine.

With Mozilla, something terrible is happening... I have many tabs open in Mozilla, and there comes a moment when, upon launching the browser and opening two or three tabs, Mozilla starts consuming up to 10 gigabytes of RAM. If I open a few more tabs, the browser crashes. I don't need to open 50 or 100 tabs, just 7-8-10 tabs are enough to make the browser crash. Moreover, if I open a new tab and go to google.com, the browser takes a very long time to load, even if it's the second tab.

This problem has happened before. I don't do anything with the browser, just visit sites like YouTube.

Clearing the cache and other recommended actions do not yield positive results. This is very annoying. Mozilla is my first and favorite browser, which I have been using for almost 20 years. I wouldn't want to uninstall Mozilla.

Always shows "Failed to check for updates" On version 125.0.3 and still says needs to be updated. Then just run the install again and then it stops for a bit still on same version and then shows up needing update...been doing the same thing for a while now.

Steps for reproduce:

• Turn ON PC
• Launch Audacious player
• Launch Firefox
• Visit to drupal.org

And I have sound glitches like on radio tuning. From all software, that have sounds: players, browser, messengers. Glitches disappear after restart. I find only 2 sites, that make it: drupal.org and my local bank. With Chrome - no problems.

Without Audacious glitches can be to, but not in 100% of cases.

My "recovery.jsonlz4" file from a previous install will not reopen my previous session (tabs) after the new installation.

Before deleting my previous installation of Firefox (for a clean install), I did two things: I created a restore point, and I did a backup of my old data.

The data consists of: bookmarks-2024-05-10.json

These folders: C:\Users\[machinename]\AppData\Local C:\Users\[machinename]\AppData\Roaming C:\Computer Files\Mozilla Firefox\distribution C:\Program Data\Mozilla-1de4eexxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

Within "Roaming" I have Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default-release\sessionstore-backups

In that sessionstore-backup, I have a "recovery.baklz4" (most recent session, I'm guessing) and three others that look like "upgrade.jsonlz4-2024xxxxxxxxxxx

With Firefox closed, I took a copy of "recovery.baklz4" (745 KB) and pasted it into the current sessionstore-backups file, then I changed the file to "recovery.jsonlz4".

I thought that when I reopened Firefox, my previous tabs would appear. They didn't. So, I went to the menu, then to History, and clicked on Recover Previous Session. That didn't do anything either. And it reduced the size of the *.jsonlz4 file from 745 KB to 6 KB.

I'm not sure what I've done wrong. Can you help me out?

I keep getting this message that pops up in a private window to restart to keep using firefox. Everytime I click restart Firefox, it closes my tabs and opens them again. However, 5 minutes later the window pops up again. Even after repeated attempts of updating, even doing a full restart on the computer, Firefox continues to send this window to me. The private window in the bar says about:restartrequired.

I've tried uninstalling Firefox with a fresh install as well as doing a Refresh of Firefox. Neither seem to solve this problem.

using Win 11, Firefox browser, Google search. subfolders are listed but will not open. Using Bing they do open but I prefer Google. If this is a Google problem or a Win 11 can you steer me in the right direction. Thanks My email is artsiii@aol.com

CVE-2024-4367 has been announced several days now with MITRE and CIS. There is also an issue/advisory on the github repo for PDF.js which appears that the fix has been merged into the master commit of PDF.js (https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-wgrm-67xf-hhpq).

The vulnerability is pretty serious and yet there is no Security Advisory from Mozilla on affected versions, etc. (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/advisories/)

When I pull up my settings, it states that my browser is being monitored by my organization. The problem is that my laptop is my private laptop and not connected to any organization, at least, not with my knowledge. When I click on the link associated with the message, it lists two policy names. One policy value is locked with the word true after it. Hello Support, 5-1-2024 First Time in a decade I've had to contact support. Please TELL me why there are 13 instances of firefox running at the same time. It is take so much memory up and really slowing my machine down on the internet also. Tell me how to fix otherwise I will have to switch to a different web browser. I realy love firefox and have been using since It was released. I really Don't want to switch Browers but this is to much any more. It has become much worse than a Year ago. I use RECAPTCHA to validate my access to a number of websites. Still works fine if I use Google Chrome. Firefox has shut off access to this App. Why? I have tried using the Proxy option, I have tried not using the Proxy Option. Nothing seems to work. Are you planning on addressing this issue or must I go to another browser to do what Firefox USED TO ALLOW ME TO DO?

Your help utility needs help. -results don't show date, must open each item. Results seem to not be listed in date order. What a mess to sort through. I can't select a desired date range, or select by release version number. -your search tool isn't very effective, I keep getting unrelated results.
