I am currently running Windows 7, and Firefox ver. 56.0, 32 bit. When I try and update Firefox, I updates to version 63.x.xx, and everything works fine. Then when I shutdown and start my computer later, or restart my computer, it boots to my profile name, but it logs me on as a guest. I have the only profile on the computer and I am an administrator. I basically have a bare minimum desktop and it will not let me open or change any files. It also won't let me save any files that I create. I found that I can fix my computer's boot issue, by performing a "system restore" to a point before I tried to update Firefox. Any suggestions, or is this a problem with my Windows 7 installation.

Firefox crashes about once a week. When it does, it resets as though it were a fresh install. My previous session, my "profile" and my new-tab page all go away. Yet somehow it retains my history and bookmarks.

This is on Windows 10. I can detect no common factors other then that it usually happens on a restart. As in, I shut the computer down and all is well; yet when I boot up next, firefox has reset. However it does NOT do it on every shut down because the system gets shut down every night. It's only once a week-ish.

I'm currently using version 56.0, 32-bit. Back when Firefox announced the "All New Look", I was nervous, but knew that Firefox had always been there over the years. Surely they wouldn't screw up a good thing.

Well, you did! I upgraded Firefox back then. I had been current with updates before that time. The upgrade wiped out all of my info and did a fresh install. If THAT'S not bad enough, I couldn't find any way to get the look/feel of the old Firefox back again.

We have VERY slow internet here, and we're also running Windows 7. I WILL NOT UPGRADE TO WINDOWS 10!! Before that happens, I'll switch over to some version of Linux - which I've been putting off for a long time. If I have to change the way Firefox looks and works, then I might as well make that change. But before I do, I need to know if there's any way to keep the updated Firefox looking/working like the older version on a Windows 7 PC??

Royal Games has tournaments where you have three or four chances to improve your score, then you're rated by your top score. For the last month, when I play a tournament for the first time, at the end of the game it says I have used all my chances to improve my score. I have cleared my cache, re-installed Adobe Flash. I do not have that problem when I use Microsoft Edge. I cannot play at all using Chrome because it keeps telling me to install Adobe Flash, which, as I said, is already installed. Is the problem with Firefox or with Royal Games? I don't know what else to do.

I got a bogus 'Tax Refund' email and lazily looked for a way to block the sender before marking it as SPAM. I right-clicked the sender address and the right-click menu offered an option to "Block this domain" - which looked perfect. After clicking that option a message came up saying I'd blocked the domain of my own email account instead of the domain of the spam host. Now, I can't find the block list to remove the email host name.

Please help

way back you could in the about:config change the setting : browser.search.showOneOffButtons that did not work anymore, but then i got on this forum the tip to use CLASSICTHEMERESTORER, and there was indeed the option to get the classic search back :)
