For the past two days I have been unable to connect to my Flickr account on www.flickr.com. I keep getting the following.

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to www.flickr.com. Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s). Error code: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.

Report errors like this to help Mozilla identify and block malicious sites

I have tried clearing cache, deleting cookies, system restore, router reset. PC restart etc etc. I have switched off the AV and tried again but to no avail. it doesn't happen on any other sites I use and I can access the site from my laptop using the same router connection. One thing to note is that the padlock symbol is absent completely on the address bar on PC but is there and green on my laptop. I have made no changes to any settings either in Firefox or my AV software. Any help would be very much appreciated.

(1) I need to create a new Firefox account with my new email address. I do not see any visible to do that. Where is the link to create a new Firefox account?

(2) Once I create the new Firefox account, how to I transfer all of my folders and bookmarks to the new account?

I had previously added the Firefox theme "Framed Chuckanut Sunset" and it had worked fine for at least a year. After a crash, I lost this theme, but when I re-added it, the theme no longer appeared above the address bar like it used to, but only within that bar, with one exception: The theme appears correctly _only_ on the Customize Firefox tab. This detail is simpler to see in the attached screen shots than to describe. All shots taken during the same session.

I've already tried turning off hardware acceleration, resetting, and safe mode, to no avail.

however once i start firefox in safemode it keeps the win aero theme. its a fresh install of firefox and the only thing i have noticed is in the new version of firefox the exit and minimize buttons are gone. and when i start in safe mode they come back along with firefoxes ability to run without changing my windows theme to basic again. been searching the internet for days on this and cant find a conclusion Thanks for all your help

Usually when I open Firefox I have my Optimum homepage. Now I have a folder with a tab that says "New Tab". I contacted Optimum to be sure I had a connection and I do. I was unable to type their address in the bar - it is inactive. Sometimes when I move the cursor around the homepage jumps in but the topics in the line above do not respond. Thank you in advance for your help.

Whenever I start firefox and it goes to my homepage, currently set as Google a phantom search bar appears at the top of the page. This appears to be some sort of injected code in the webpage to create an illusion of a search bar. It can be inspected by Firefox and it is HTML code not an addon. How do I remove this?

Since version 48 of Firefox I have constant memory leaks when visiting the Facebook website.

This only happens on this website and results in my RAM (8GB) being completely used, after that the browser becomes very slow and than it crashes everything; so all other websites and downloads are all gone :(

In the mean time I even installed my OS again but nothing changed.

This is clearly only with Firefox that this happens.

Even before version 48 there where no problems.

I use firefox 49.0.1 now and Windows 7 X64.

Mozilla crashes every time when I record and save a video (more than 5 seconds) through webrtc function. The problem is not there if multiprocess is disabled.

Please let me know the reason for the same.

For the last couple weeks when Firefox launches it acts as if it has just been installed. For example, my homepage has changed from my.yahoo.com (or google.com) back to the default Mozilla Firefox page. In addition, all of my preferences are lost; i.e. options like save passwords, close multiple tabs without prompting, hide recently bookmarked. My bookmarks DO remain (with or without being signed into sync) but all other options have been changed back to default. I have tried the following:

Refreshing Firefox. Repairing Firefox (remove profile files) Uninstalling Firefox, removing Mozilla program files folder and all Mozilla registry entries, and re-installing. Other browsers work fine, virus scan reveals no malicious programs/rootkits. Windows 10 64b Firefox 49.0.1 All OS updates and plugins are current as far as I can tell.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

There were no problems until Firefox version 49.01 updated from version 49 a few days ago. Now I have to use Chrome to listen to BBC radio player. Sometimes I can restart Firefox and it will open BBC radio player but not always. Ditto for clearing cache. Nothing works consistently except moving to Chrome, where BBC radio player consistently opens without delay.

I used to be able to simply print a pdf document from google docs or my Etsy invoices. Now, I have to "save" before printing. There have been various updates (I don't keep track,) but I hope somebody can help me just print from my browser!

I have the Firefox 49.o.1 and Windows 7 OS and Adobe Acrobat XI Standard.

I have tried switching the add-ons between the built-in extensions and Adobe's extension.

Any ideas?

I didnt notice the issue for rel 48 but I have it at 49.0.1 I am running windows 7 My saved logins and passwords disappeared First noticed when I didnt get prompted for master PW I checked the profile no logins.json file I have an old backup so copied both Key3.db and logins.jsaon file into the profile default directory with Firebird off re=booted the old data was now displayable shut down firebird came back later started same problem as before. Explorer set to show hidden files no logins.json this is repeatable Am not running private window mode

Text and pictures smear and stretch as I scroll down through pages. See attached. It seems to quit doing this if I run with Add Ons disabled, but I am not sure which add on could cause this. Been using Firefox for years on this system and this is a first. Image attached.

For whatever reason, I long ago stopped using IE, as it doesn't work at all.

Firefox v49.0.1 asking to Enable Add-ons Every Time I use Firefox on 3 different PCs!

I keep having this occur every time I fire up Firefox on all three machines. I am using Windoze 7 64 bit. I have read an earlier thread and tried deleting the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, , extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry. [The two files addons.sqlite and extensions.sqlite don’t seem to exist.]

I have also “Refreshed” but the joy still keeps coming! I have checked the update facility and all addons are reported as fine.

However I have two plugins that appear in red; Adobe Acrobat and Java Deployment Toolkit which are both disabled. A further extension Abobe Create PDF is also shown disabled.

I would really like to removed the above but cannot find a method to do this.  

Any wise guidance will be greatly appreciated for it will be a shame to dump Firefox but it is really beginning to impede on workflow given it appears every time FF is started which can be hundreds of times a day. Regrettably the option of IE after all these years is pretty unpalatable and Chrome will never happen!

Using Windows 10 on new machine with 8mb dimm3 memory and quadcore cpu and when opening Apple ID to login FF goes to 90% or more cpu useage and 60-70% memory use and then FF is frozen for a long while with memory use continuing to rise ....

I just installed Firefox onto my new computer, and with no add-ons or extensions being used, it keeps crashing practically every 15 minutes or so. Attached is the list of all the crashes.

When I start Firefox, with add-ons either enabled or disabled - it makes no difference, the Bookmarks toolbar shows as empty. I can't drag a URL to the toolbar (I get the "not allowed" sign). I can drag the URL to the Bookmarks menu and thence to the Bookmarks toolbar listing. The URL appears in this listing but not on the actual toolbar, which remains blank. Any ideas?
