Hello,

I think I have discovered a hidden, rather small error in Firefox.

If I load my website: ECstep.com (the homepage of my site) and click the cholesterol picture or the trans fat picture, you should go to: https://ecstep.com/fat/#cholesterol or https://ecstep.com/fat/#trans%20fats. respectively, but instead you go to the bottom of the https://ecstep.com/fat/ after a temporary glimpse of the right position on the page. However, if you click the fatty acids picture on the homepage you are transferred to the correct place: https://ecstep.com/fat/#fatty%20acids and stay there.

I have tried Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and these browsers do not produce the same problem. For that reason I think the problem lies in Firefox and not in my website code.

I have an own WP homepage www.immerunterwegs.ch. It runs on all browsers except firefox. Who knows what is wrong with my page and why it is not running on firefox ?

I would like to bring up a topic that is DRIVING ME CRAZY. I am developer and frequently access my own services on unsecured http servers for testing. Spin up a new docker container, test it, tear it down. No SSL required, no time to mess with encryption.

But if you type in https just a single time for your http server, you are f*#&ed. Sorry for the wording, but this is how it is. You think "OH NO, WHAT DID I DO? NOT AGAIN!!!" Because it is just impossible to access the service with http in the future, Firefox has it locked to SSL (Domain and Port). But of course there is no SSL so it will NEVER work.

Latest example: JetBrains TeamCity. They have a simple Docker container I want to access with Firefox. I spin it up, connect with Firefox with http and it immediately tells me "Secure Connection Failed". WHAT? WHY? I typed http. Why secure? Why can't I simply connect? Using curl on CLI just gives me a beautiful HTML response.

I understand that for the majority of users SSL is a good thing. But shouldn't there at least be an OPTION to disable all this enforced SSL usage? My beloved Firefox is my everyday productivity killer. It makes me sad.

I'm a web designer, I love firefox for develop my projects, one of the things that I love is that when i change a property value and I reload the page (F5) file css are ever updated,

Only in some cases with .js files I had to use ctrl+F5,

but now every modify I do then I hat to use ctrl+F5, why??

I am developing a website. I have uploaded the files to my webhost server. When I visit the page I get the following error.

The page isn’t redirecting properly

An error occurred during a connection to www.themindcreative.net.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Never seen this before, been using this webhost for over a decade and numerous websites. This only started with the new website and after the latest Firefox update. I have a support ticket in with Dreamhost but have not heard back.

Obviuosly I cant just allow all cookies - thats ridiculous. Every other website I visit displays just fine and I have most cookies turned off with the strict/strong tracking protection turned on in Firefox preferences.

Any idea what this 'redirect' error message means? And how to fix it?

I am an Etsy shop owner. I have been told that Firefox is the best browser to use for adding new listings and editing existing listings in my Etsy shop.

However, the problem that I am having with Firefox is this: when I want to either add a listing or edit one, I get a yellow bar at the top that says: A website is slowing down your computer, either click stop it or wait. I have tried both and both give me the same problem. The 'radio' buttons become unusable on the site and I cannot click on them anymore (such as the Publish button, for example). So I am unable to save any of my work and must just shut down. I have also tried do nothing and this just freezes everything.

This is very very frustrating and counterproductive. PLEASE HELP ME!

Hello there. We are developing website to configure our device. Webserver apache2 is configured to use Basic Authetication. One directory, that requiers authentication, doesn't have index.html and is browsed as "Index of /...". If i open a file on this webpage in the same tab, tab title is <ip>/<directiory>/<file>. But if I open file in new tab, tab title is <login>:<password>@<ip>/<directory>/<file>.

heyy! I have a new business website [[Best Electric Smoker 2021|http://www.bestelectricsmoker2021.com/]] but unfortunately the site is not properly working on firefox I guess. I cannot get the date for users of FireFox as a browser.

I have programmed a website (with partial use of Xara js code). On one page I have a link to impressum, data privacy etc. When I click one of the links and then return to previous page with "back", I get a small line at a position where no element is located. The line is connected with the last link selected as it changes color when hovering with the mouse over the button.

It seems that the effect appears only in Firefox and not in every installation, and neither in IE11 nor Edge nor Chrome. I have observed the same effect also on my mobile (Samsung S9). The line can be seen in the attached picture. For your developers I can also provide the link to that specific page if necessary.

We are a company that develops web systems. The customer’s security service asks us to close all old encryption keys on the server in order to avoid system vulnerabilities and use only new keys. We disabled most of the old keys and the system works fine on all browsers. As soon as we turn off the encryption key TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA (0xc014), then all web systems stop working through the Mozilla Firefox browser. (At the same time, everything works correctly on other browsers). The Mozilla Firefox Documentation says that this browser supports new encryption keys and can work without old encryption keys. Link (https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security/Server_Side_TLS). Also on our server are included all the necessary encryption keys for Mozilla Firefox to work.

Do you have any ideas on how to solve this?

I have a question regarding PWA support on Firefox desktop. I am not sure how to frame this correctly, but I hope I am able to list the problem statement.

Basically, I plan to migrate my existing mobile and desktop website to single PWA based responsive website. Right now, I have mobile website which is a PWA, and a desktop website. Goal is to have a single PWA based responsive website for both mobile and desktop platform. However, I want to make sure the proposed website will work with Firefox desktop. From what I could find Firefox doesn't support option to install PWA as an app with it's own shortcut as it is possible in Chrome. But I want to make sure it supports rest of the features of PWA, and website still works correctly in terms of UI and experience as in case when it is accessed from Chrome browser.

Appreciate a response on this. In case you require more clarity on the problem statement, do let me know.

My website is having problem with session and cookies, they are failing and users are keep on getting logout and they tries to login again and again. Sometime it works fine, what could be the issue? I tried all the different settings/help on this forum but still facing the same issue.

For many years, the content management system that I have been using has worked just fine with previous versions of Firefox. To access the backend area for a client of mine to edit their own website I built for them, they would go to their website and hit Control-Y on any page of their website. This would bring up the login prompt window so they could login and start live editing their site. Now, when I hit Control-Y, nothing happens.

I saw a previous post that mentioned adjusting (allowing) keyboard shortcuts in the settings area. I did this but unfortunately, this didn't solve my issue.

Can someone tell me why this no longer works with Firefox and what the possible fix / workaround might be?

I'm very disappointed with Firefox, my website is simply not working, no errors or warnings at the console, just doesn't work... take a look at https://www.dentistinkaty.com, it works perfectly in other browsers like Edge, Chrome or Opera, just not working on Firefox... the browser reports to load all objects buy my page looks, well... no style, no pictures... what's going on? I'm building my page according to standards, this makes no sense...

After the last upgrade, Mozilla doesn't responds with my website's style espacially the font-family one that works using a predefined font (@font-face), I tried other browsers like Opera and Chrome and everything was good, but for Mozilla it still broken.

For one of the client we are experiencing slow browsing issue with Firefox (Firefox 60.7.2esr) .We tried without any customization but it has the same slow browsing experience. However there is one observation though if we use explicit ip address instead .pac in proxy then browsing speed is fine. Our proxy team hasn’t found anything abnormal with proxy configuration and pac file size is also small in kbs.

I am trying to setup custom startpages that I am creating using HTML5/CSS/JS. Issue is I am doing this in multiple devices that I have Firefox Sync on.

Those devices are Manjaro (Linux) and Windows 10. Thus their directories and such differ vastly.

I setting the homepage to be `/home/arszilla/.config/mozilla-firefox/HomePage/index.html` on Linux, whereas on Windows it is `C:\Users\Arslan\Documents\Mozilla Firefox\HomePage\index.html`. However due to the sync this gets overwritten constantly.

Is there a way for me to keep Linux's homepage intact while the same is done for Windows? So Linux has its own 'non-synced' homepage, while Windows has its own 'non-synced' homepage?

I am a developer , i have developed a Matrimonial Site in which bride and groom register. Sometimes some bride or groom are not able to access their profile, like its shows them read only, but when i login with their username and password during the conversation on phone i can see the whole profile editable. This is happening with many ppl. Its giving same error for latest firefox version too. Kindly sort this problem asap. As all my customers are shouting. Thanks in advance.
