This has been happening for about a year now, I followed the guide and tried the troubleshoot mode and my tabs still crashes.

Can anyone help me read the crash reports and find the cause or common issue?

For several sites, when i check 'trust this device' it doesn't work. next time i signin it still requires 2fa from the site. i've checked and the certificates do exist as i get a message saying already exists when i try to import. this is a very user hostile function. I do not have this issue with Chrome or Microsoft Edge!!!!! i hate to begin using one of these vs Mozilla Firefox to get around this but i may have to do so. my wife and i share access to critical sites so if i need to see her info or she needs to see mine, we both have to be available in order to access the site. Mozilla Firefox 'bug' is requiring us to do so and it doesn't satisfy our requirements. any ways to solve this issue is greatly appreciated. so far no 'searched' solutions work.

We have used Firefox for access to certain sites for years. Recently, we wanted access to particular sites, but the info boxes needed would now not allow entries. Then, we went to Chrome and there was no problem entering the info. Please provide a response to resolve these issues of Firefox not allowing data entry, but Chrome allowing data entry for the same sites.

When I right click the taskbar and press close Firefox, here comes the interface just as the screenshot uploaded. The blue close button doesn't response no matter how I click it and the Firefox's taskbar is flashing yellow. This bug only occurs on the first window of Firefox and only when user right click the taskbar.

It has been a long time for me wishing that some updates would be released soon to fix this issue, while noting happens. Or this bug is only for me?

I've been having problems with some websites not displaying content, others displaying error messages. So have been going through the Troubleshooting Mode and diagnostic process.

The cause is the MS CoPilot extension for Firefox.

Useful in other ways as I discovered several other extensions I don't need, hence have remained disabled.

Everything is gone….bookmarks, passwords, history on my desktop computer and I have no idea why. I opened Firefox and the home page was different and then noticed nothing was the same. I dl Firefox again, no help, same result. I do have my desktop synced to my iPad and laptop but I’m concerned they will import from the desktop and get wiped out. Is there a way to sync from the laptop to the desktop? I am at a complete loss on how to fix this. I do run a backup on this computer. Would that help? Restore point?

I frequently attempt to open news articles or other pages requiring form fill-in but instead get a page that advises me to disable an adblocker. I have no idea what Firefox (yes, up-to-date) uses or how I could set it to allow pop-ups for a particular site. Help!

I am on a brand-new machine and having trouble setting up the Firefox browser.

When I click on a link it opens in a new window with all the tabs ready opened.

How do I open a tab without opening a new window?

Also, how do I set Yahoo.com as my default search engine?

I use Outlook.live.com Hotmail and recently a PopUp Message appears asking me to:

Add outlook.live.com as an application for mailto links.

Microsoft Customer Service said it was not something they initiated and likely a Firefox issue.

It does not seem safe to click on a random link like this without any explanation. Each time I log in, the same message appears.

Could someone please explain what this is for and how I can stop it from popping up each time I log into Hotmail?

when I click on the firefox icon to load it takes me to my home page, but within 20-30 seconds it loads firefox again. it is very frustrating when I.m starting something and firefox loads again taking me back to home page. I have to go down to the bottom and click off the second firefox. I don't know how or why this started. Thanks for any help.

i am setting up a new laptop and trying to import all my current data from my old pc. Nothing is right. It imported alll the shortcuts on my toolbar from years ago. None of these are the current bookmarks from my old pc. ive tried syncing, importing again, nothing works. my bookmarks on my side bar are years old. I dont have ANY of these on my old pc as i deleted them years ago. what the heck is happening and how do i get my new pc browser to look exactly as my old pc looks. This is very frustrating. I have over 500 bookmarks on my sidebar. it looks like every bookmark i have EVER used. This is ridiculous.

For about 6 months now, I've been having a strange problem with Firefox leaving behind ghost entries on the Win 11 taskbar.

I have a laptop attached to a dock which is connected to multiple monitors. If I have a FF window open on one of those external monitors and disconnect from the dock, all the tabs that were open in that FF window will become ghost entries on the taskbar. (see attached image).

It doesn't matter if I close FF entirely, these entries remain until I restart the computer. If I click on one of them, it opens up a brand new, blank FF window.

Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what might be going on? I tried doing some investigating a few weeks back and I remember finding something in the task manager about COM Surrogate that seemed connected, but I didn't get beyond that.

Firefox believes I have a security key.

What is a security key? Where do I find it? Why does Firefox think I have one?

And why is there no helpful information to explain this confusing UX?

I can't open firefox. message says "firefox quit unexpectedly" and it won't reload. I tried Force Quit. I tried restarting my computer. I tried completely shutting computer down and restarting. It happened very suddenly yesterday.

I have not been able to highlight and copy ~ even prior to the most recent update.

Even using control/ does not work.

Really hating this.

/edit: moved thread from Firefox for iOS (for iPhone/iPad) to (desktop) Firefox section as you have macOS.

My Firefox browser is up to date but I cannot log on to my Bank website. As soon I enter my Logon info I get logged out, however I can access the site using MS EDGE. This is a recurring problem. The website recognizes Firefox as an valid browser. Occasionally I have been able fix problem by clearing the browser Cookies/History but at present none of that works. Do you have any suggestions? My preferred browser is Firefox so this problem is frustrating.

I want to use extension xpi's from a shared external folder over multiple Linux profiles. So i examined the profile folder and found extensions.json. Though i can't find any documentation to it's keys online.

There's "rootURI:" with a "jar:file://path/to/extension.xpi!/", so i tried just replacing the path with the shared one. Though i observed that just makes firefox replace the path with the current one. So i examined further and found the "location:" key with the default value "app-profile". So my guess is, there's other values for other usecases, right?

So, in summary, what i need is:

• documentation to extensions.json keys or possible values to "location" key.
• if that isn't intended/doesn't work, how i can achieve my goal otherwise.

And please don't suggest the sync feature, that doesn't work for my usecase.
