Hi There:

I have a lot of bookmarks in Firefox. Some of them are outdated and no longer work.

On this page: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-delete-bookmark#w_deleting-a-single-bookmark it describes two ways to delete a bookmark. I've tried both. Neither one works. Suggestions appreciated.

In Firefox When a bookmark is deleted from recently bookmarked, it deletes the bookmark for the bookmark toolbar. How can I stop this from happening?

I use the Bookmarks Toolbar for all of my desktop bookmarks. I frequently create new bookmarks or refile bookmarks by dragging them and dropping them into the appropriate subfolder in the toolbar. While navigating through multiple layers of bookmark subfolders, I often accidentally slide the new bookmark a few pixels above or to the side of the submenu, briefly hovering over the browser window surrounding the expanded menus. After a fraction of a second, all of the submenus collapse and I have to start over.

Is there any ui tweak available to insert a delay into this submenu collapse? I have already tried changing ui.submenuDelay and ui.click_hold_context_menus.delay, but neither of those had any effect on this issue.

My laptop crashed hard. I obviously didn't get a backup of my bookmarks, password, etc. Where and what file name is my old bookmarks kept? I can get access to my old laptop data, but I am not sure exactly the path and filename I need to get. Thanks

i just signed up for Firefox. Set up new IMac and input my passwords & bookmarjs for my regular websites. I have now done 3 times and each time I open Firefox it is all gone and I have to start over! HELP please. AnaLaRai

I thought I could try reaching out to see about why Firefox somehow reset itself or something earlier tonight then I lost some recent bookmarks with the bookmarks I had in the bookmarks bar so I had to set it up again and am not too sure of whether it'll happen again which I hope won't. Is there a simpler way or something so I can be sure to keep the bookmarks I have since I have quite a number of them? Hope this information helps you figure out the issue I had earlier and how to not have it happen again at some point which I hope won't be the case. Thank you in advance if you reply to this post.

I am new to Firefox and hope I am doing this the right way. I would like to know How to change the color on sidebar for my bookmarks. Its white and hard to see and also make the bookmarks once looked at changed to that website icon?

Recently I observed following behavior:

1. Ctrl+L to select addres bar.
2. "* " to trigger bookmark shortcuts.
3. I type few letters of my query.
4. The seeked bookmark is shown second on the list. The first results is a nonbookmarked history item.

See attached image for an example.

The issue is this: Why on earth would I bother with the "* " prefix if I wanted a non-bookmark result?

This seems be a recent change. Can this be disabled somehow? Thanks!
