I use Firefox version 103, the old version that is perfectly compatible with an extension I always use. I love this old version, and I don't want to update it to the new version. But the update reminder pops up many times everyday. it's so annoying. I used "about config" to turn it off (see photo 2); it works a bit, but the popup still there once daily after the configuration. I want to turn it off permanently. Is there any way to do it? Hi jscher2000, I want to thank you for your advice concerning a problem I had downloading Firefox to my Windows 10 laptop. I tried to follow your advice but was not successful. In the end, I googled "what if Firefox doesn't install". It took me to a website, https://www.makeuseof.com/fix-firefox-not-installing-windows , which took me to an article entitled "8 Fixes to Try if Firefox Won't Install on Windows". I tried #1 and #2 without success. #3, Temporarily Disable Your Antivirus Software, worked. Firefox is up and running. Feel free to share this with anyone who has a similar problem. I'm currently consuming APIs hosted on an external server using Java( or any other server side language), and everything works smoothly. However, when attempting to consume the same APIs in JavaScript, I encounter the 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' error.

After some research, I discovered that browsers implement security checks leading to this issue. Can anyone advise on how to disable these security checks or resolve this issue when accessing the website in the Firefox browser? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

it doesn't have to be particularly fancy. For instance, I have a couple Firefox and Windows issues I'd like t document.

It always worked, i just alt+tab to firefox, quick spacebar and youtube video paused until few days ago, now i need to specificaly click on the video in order for it to work, other buttons work, other video websites like netflix dont have any problem. I remember new update tab opened. Why do you have to break everything? Don't know how long that show all tabs button is up there but I tried couple times to remove it and its impossible, why URL bar is also search bar? Why? everyone can but search bar whenever we want, even right next to it, who thinks of this bullshit? Instead of being user friendly you put useless shit into it making it work like a my 16 bit PC when people expect it to run smoothly and quickly.

I use the above site to watch replays of the NFL. Upon updating the browser to the latest version, the page no longer loads the video content. It was working fine on the previous version and is working fine using Microsoft Edge. Can you please suggest a resolution?

Since Mozilla released the 119.0 build of Firefox, I have noticed that scrolling Youtube Shorts doesn't work. I can watch the first short and scroll to the second but trying to scroll past that causes the video to jump back up to the first video. The same thing happens when I try to scroll through emails using my ISP web based email client. I can see the first five emails on the list but if I try to scroll further it jumps back up to the first five. I have tried refreshing Firefox and I have tried using the trouble shooting option under help and the scroll issues still happened in both. I have this issue on my laptop as well as this desktop and I even installed a different browser and in that browser scrolling works fine in both Youtube and the web based email client. I was unsure where to report this to Mozilla so I thought I would try here to see if anyone can help.

When pressing the up arrow key with text in the URL bar, the bottom suggestion is selected, rather than returning the text cursor to the beginning. It used to place the insertion point at the very beginning of whatever text was in there, and then another up arrow press would select the bottom suggestion, but now it instantly wraps to the very bottom selection. It's quite frustrating when trying to modify a search query - now you either have to hold the left arrow key, or accurately click with the mouse

For instance, say I type "cloud" in the URL box, but figure "storm cloud" would be a better search. I can't just press the up arrow to add "storm ", because pressing the up arrow once now just replaces the entire line of text with "https://soundcloud.com/", completely ruining my search. I'm pretty sure this was recently changed with an update. Is there any hope of changing it back?

At the latest update firefox 64bit crashed and I neede a totally new install of firefox. After downloading it said, partly installed we will repair the upgrade and it did. However only a few bookmarks were recovered many of which were over a year old... So how to recover my recent bookmarks, which were in sorted in named bookmarkfolder, e.g. home/study/work

I would assume a backup frommy firefox account but that does not show a solution..?!??

I subscribed to Relay and VPN on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, and paid the annual fee ($82.66); however, after looking at all the features of Relay, I decided that it was too complicated for me and I cancelled the subscription the same day. I have not received a refund yet.

Previously, I had been paying for the VPN monthly, and I do want to keep that and can pay for it annually. So the annual amount for the VPN could be withheld from the amount I paid and the refund could be for Relay portion only, if that's possible. If not, I will continue to pay for the VPN monthly.

Please advise as to how long before I will see my refund.

When I want to do a google search, it will only do an amazon search. So if I am asking a tax question, it brings up amazon products to buy. I can't search anything. Very frustrated.

in our organization we use your program, but we recently noticed that the updates removed the option for vertical and horizontal printing from the printing menu, and the problem was solved by communicating with the support team. We added lines of code layout.css.page-size and we convert from true to false, but in the new update 119 we noticed This code has been deleted from your program's library The options for vertical or horizontal printing in any form no longer appear

Why??

How can we solve this problem other than downloading the Esr version We want to keep up with updates with you without any printing glitches

1. Mozilla email address 2. When I use Mozilla-Firefox to look for products on Amazon, you don't show the "SIZE" pull downs that are visible using Google Chrome or EDGE. I'm sure this is not good for business. I would prefer to remain on Mozilla, but somehow Amazon has blocked you from showing the size choices, and subject prices!!!

Hi, I'm using some typical browser extensions (lastpass, HTTPS Everywhere, Privacy Badger, etc.), but all of buttons stopped operating. When I click them, nothing happens, clicking just makes the icon be shaded like it's pressed. I tried updating the browser, signing out&in, removing, loading and enabling them again. Nothing works. Most frustrating is the lastpass extension, as I actually use it almost daily.

Also I assume that one can't contact mozilla directly about these bugs/issues, only this community chat?

Firefox displays text in a garbled, unreadable fashion. HP desktop, 64-bit Windows. This is why I stopped using FireFox years ago; I wanted to see if it had improved. Is there a solution? See attached PAINT file of screen image.

Can't get to Google apps from google home page. Dots for Google apps not there. Only way they appear is to search for something. Otherwise you can't get to apps (no nine dots) or even sign in to google. Nosigh-in box either on first open of browser. Thanks for the help.
