I've looked at various suggestions to fix the above-reference problem and have checked that "open previous tabs and windows" is checked and that "clear history when Firefox closes" is *not* checked. But nothing is working. This started happening only a week or so ago.

Thank you for ideas.

How can I set tabs to automatically preload when I open the browser? I'm just trying to switch from Chrome to Firefox and I can't find such a setting here, although it is a very convenient functionality. I mean that when I open the browser, I can click on any of the tabs and it will be (partially or completely) immediately ready to work without additional loading.

Firefox 110.0 64 bit on Linux Fedora 37. Happens with my default setup and also when running with extensions disabled. Default font. English Language.

If I got to this website https://www.endesaclientes.pt/uPortal2/MyEndesa/index.html#/login, right now, it is in maintenance mode. It's tab label shows up as "Em manutenção..." when it should display "Em manutenção". In case this text field munges my text, see image of the tab, and the letters between "uten" and the final "o" are supposed to be a c with a cedilla and an a with a tilde.

Do I need to change my configuration to add the proper font in tabs?

How do I remove pocket from Firefox?

The published solution does not work. When I type "about:config" in the URL, then "pocket," and change the "extensions.pocket.enabled" to "false," the pocket page still shows up after I close a session or a screen asking me to sign in to pocket. I am always closing unnecessary pocket related tabs.

As I remember, one time it worked but only for two days and then the some form of the pocket page showed up again.

Restarting Firefox does not change anything. Please advise.

As the title says, ctrl+tab simply doesn't do anything anymore for me. All the other hotkeys (ctrl+t, ctrl+1, etc.) are working normally. I haven't changed any settings or installed any extensions lately. It still doesn't work if I restart into Troubleshoot mode.

I really can't figure out what happened.

Right-clicking to close Firefox tab is broken!

How - just how- are you supposed to close tabs now?

You used to be able to right-click, then close the current tab or tabs to left and right, which was great, and I used it almost unconciously This useful functionality has disappeared. I am using Win 10 on a desktop PC - and I would really like to be able to close tabs when I have finished with them!

Why have you rendered Firefox almost unuseable!

One very frustrated Firefox user!

In fully updated Windows 10 (x64), running either 64-bit or 32-bit Firefox, the tab bar in the current Release channel of Firefox disappears. No changes have been made to the Firefox profile on my computer, including no edits in CSS, etc. (I never bother with such things). Updating to 108 and higher causes the tab bar to disappear. In 108+, a single tab appears "somewhere" at the bottom of the window (its location appears to be random), and the New Tab button ("+") is gone as well. Disabling all extensions has no effect. Reverting back to 107.0.1 (either 32-bit or 64-bit) fixes the problem. This situation has been tested several times with the same result every time. Consequently, I have edited the Firefox registry policy to disable updating so I can run 107.0.1 without constantly getting the Firefox "nag window." Any thoughts on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I have enclosed a screenshot showing what happens when I want to go to a new tab on the two computers I use most often. One is my desktop which has Windows 10 Home. The other is my laptop which has Windows 10 Pro. The Windows 10 Home was installed most recently and is the latest version of Windows 10, my tech guy told me; and also the latest version of Firefox 123.0.1. The laptop version of Windows 10 is older. The Firefox version is also 123.0.1.

My hope is that there is a setting I have not uncovered that lets me put some kind of mark on a new tab, as my laptop has had for a few years. This makes it very easy to open. The newer, later Windows version but same Firefox 123.0.1 on the desktop must be right-clicked in the space to the right of any open site, and then the user must scroll down to the "New Tab" line and click on it. Obviously this requires my user clicks and more time, simply to get a new tab that gives me a blank site that I prefer.

I appreciate whatever guidance or suggestions anyone can give.

I loved Firefox. Yesterday. Today, I very much dislike it. My nice, neat desktop is not overwhelmed with the tab, url, and bookmark bars now taking up fully one-third of my viewable screen. The pinned tab icons are enormous, and I've spent hours and hours trying all the proposed fixes but none of them work. This is like a cartoon of a browser with gigantic everything since I have to manually change the size of every single web page I visit. The pinned tab icons are so huge they are literally blurry. And, yes, it's as easy as Ctrl + 0, but in my line of work, I browse hundreds of webpages a day, and this is just not acceptable.

Just to be able to see a tiny segment of this page to type this question (i.e. how do I fix this or at least roll it back to the way it was yesterday?), I have to minimize the page to 67% (from the 150% it starts every page at) and the TOWERING tabs and bookmarks and enormous search bar are blocking out the top third of my entire 17" screen, so I can literally only see--again at 67% no 100%--this comment box. And only the part I am writing it, if I wanted to use bold or whatever options are up there, I would have to SCROLL up just to see them. This is just insane. And completely unworkable. I don't have hours to spend fixing every page, scrolling up and down to see a single image or comment box plus editing options. There must be a way to fix this or roll it back to my delightfully compact, unobtrusive tabs, search bar, and bookmarks and make it so every webpage I visit isn't so huge that I have to scroll not just up and down to see what I saw yesterday with ease but from left to right, too! Honestly. This is just dreadful.

Note: Please read my reply to the post, below, for an update.

I like to have new tabs open at the end of my tab stream so that each new tab opens in consecutive order. This is only inconvenient when I have a lot of tabs and need to scroll to the end for the latest. Because I was working with a lot of tabs today I toggled the following to "true" in about:config —

browser.tabs.insertAfterCurrent = true browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent = true

The issue I'm having is that after toggling back to false, new tabs continue to open after the current tab, rather than at the end as before.

I'm not clear on the difference between related and unrelated, so I've experimented toggling one on, one off and neither or both but for some reason the behavior continues to default to opening new tabs after current in each case.

I have also tried restarting both Firefox and the computer, but this has not had any effect, either.

I have included a screen shot of the present settings and behavior.
