I'm using the current Firefox-ESR for Linux x86_64. Under Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies and Site Data > Manage Exceptions, I blocked http:174.138.51.92 and https:174.138.51.92 several weeks ago. But Manage Data shows 10 cookies last used 45 minutes ago, and Remove Selection for these cookies fails (incidentally retaining the "last used" value), even when repeated multiple times as fast as I can mouse the select, then Remove Selection, then Save Changes then Manage Data .

How can I delete these cookies and site data? And why does it fail for this site and this site only? And how can I block them permanently, short of black-holing that site in /etc/hosts?

I've been using Firefox on my laptop and my phones for years. I have a concern about my saved passwords in Firefox. If I need to lookup a password, I go settings, saved logins, put in my pin# and search and copy my password. Many times; however, when I get to the enter password on a website, Firefox comes up above my keypad and will let me just hit the down button to pick my credentials and automatically fills in my credentials without asking for my pin! It will also come up above keyboard to unlock Firefox? Please help me to clear this mess up. I want to have to put in a pin for my passwords. Anyone could get into my websites if my phone were taken, etc. I know I un-installed the app for passwords from Firefox when it was no longer available, sorry can't remember name of this app. I hope there is an easy way to make this happen. The only way I want to look for a password is with a pin #. It's a pain but I am OK with this.

Im using Playwright with JS and when Im running ny test on FireFox i get a PopUp message to select the screen i want to screencast, even when im choosing screen and pressing "Share" its happened in the next test and not recording my tests. its happened only in FF. How im removed this PopUP ?Thanks. Using also Linux Ubuntu.

M2 MacBook Air running macOS Ventura. When I open a website which wants access to my camera I am asked if I want to allow this. I say "Allow", and the light next to the builtin webcam turns green, but I see nothing in the camera sub-window on the webpage which was granted access. No error message, just no camera video is shown by the webpage. In the menu bar is a camera icon which I can click on and confirms I have "Allowed" camera access. Setting / Privacy / Permissions / Autoplay is set to Block Audio. I have verified the camera works with other apps (Photo Booth). How can I diagnose this?

Extension has permission "Access your data for sites in the abc.de domain".

The documentation says that such extension can read "data you enter into those web pages, such as usernames and passwords"

Can extension send such data away (for example to its developer)? What kind of permission is needed for that? Can you quote exact name of such permission/s from linked article so i can lookup that?

Greetings. I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and started using Firefox again. In order to be more secure and private I am reviewing all of my settings everywhere. I am concerned that the security certificates that are currently in my Firefox are safe, secure and current. I know the internet is worldwide and bad actors can from any country but when I see them from certain countries that does concern me. Is there a way to verify the certificates are good? Is there an harm in deleting certificates? Is there any suggestions of what countries, websites to stay away from concerning certificates? If the validity is expired should I delete it? I have a local server where I host several apps (URLs such as http://192.168.0.101/). I've noticed that Firefox will not offer to autocomplete text boxes and forms on local pages.

I have the "Firefox will Remember history" option enabled, and autofill works elsewhere as expected.

I have tried using autofill for credit cards. The pop up to enter a password pops up and I fill that in. The credit card options are there and I click on the one I want and nothing fills in. I went to settings to turn off the request for authentication, unticked the box, and see no where to save that. When I refresh the screen, the box is once again ticked.

Today I lost internet access. While it was being restored I was trying to access a local server on my network that does have an https certificate. While the internet access was down I was unable to connect to that server using firefox and I had to fall back to Chrome. I couldn't see any option to ignore or accept the warning and continue at my own risk.

Здравствуйте. К своему стыду не могу разобраться. Поставил опции, во вкладке безопасность, удалять Куки и Историю по выходу из Firefox. При этом история сохраняется, при последующем запуске браузера. Так же при следующем запуске браузера, при авторизации на сайтах, автоматически заполняется поле "логин", "телефон". Как сделать что бы не заполнялся и была очищена история? Спасибо.

Currently, there appears to be only one option to tell Firefox to open a given site in a specific container; that is, from the URL bar, to the right.

Would it make sense to have this configuration option presented in "edit bookmark" and/or in a right-click pulldown menu "Always open in this container"?

I just installed FireFox but keep getting Chrome browser. How do I set FireFox as my default browser? My bookmark tab icons keep changing - how to change them back permanently ?

Update 123.0 deleted all my firefox data from logins.json. backup files are corrupted or have no data. No support article suggestions have worked. The .json files indicate that there is data, but appears blank in notepad, and wont load in json reader in firefox
