Using Firefox I can no longer search for Yelp support.

Blank, empty windows.

Hi All,

I'm using an iMac with OS X El Capitan 10.11.6. I am using Firefox 78.15. When I click on links, nothing happens. I have to right click and select "open link in new tab." I suspected it might be an out-of-date Add-On. So, I disabled all add-ons and restarted Firefox. It had no effect.

This problem is getting annoying Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Using Mac OSX El Capitan 10.11.6 and Firefox 75.15.0 esr

I have a number of desktops defined in "spaces" and each app goes into one. Something odd has happened with Firefox.

When I select a different Window from the Window dropdown, or from the Dock, sometimes there is a "sliding sideways" effect.

And if I go into Firefox by going to the Dock and tapping its icon - it goes to one window; BUT if go to the Dock and tap again, it changes to another window. I think, always the same two.

So its sort of behaving like "spaces" does, but when I view all the "desktops" in the selection view at the top of the screen, I only see one containing Firefox windows.

Its really annoying when the window changes like that, and I don't know how to get them into a single grouping. I have quit & reopened many times, but it persists.

If I knew which of the Firefox Windows were in each of these glitchy "pseudo-groups" then I might quit all of one group, and then re-open them. Not sure if there are just two such pseudo-groups, or more.

Firefox is denying access to Astound/wave mail. About 3 days ago Firefox posted a warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead. I am wondering if my recent activity is the cause. On October 23 my MasterCard account was charged $2.99 by a firm in Cyprus. MasterCard is investigating, and suggested that the card be cancelled, with a new card to arrive in the mail. They also advised that I alert my contacts that use MasterCard. In that process I attempted to change my password with Astound/Wave. But, every time I tried is was rejected. I Tried about a dozen times, one attempt right after another. I am thinking that that activity alerted Firefox that someone, other than me, was attempting to learn my information. Just seeing a dozen actions in a brief amount of time should have caused concern for me.

Is this possibly why Firefox is blocking our access to Astound/WAve mail?

i have had this persistent issue: when a site seems broken, i used to be able to try turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection, by

   Clicking on the shield Icon to the left of the address bar, then
   Toggling the switch at the top of the panel.

But for the past week or two, the toggle button stays on and i canno toggle it off.

Also, a related issue, ie.the reason ive mos recently tried to do this, is so i can view the whole yelp review web pages. I used to be able to, but fo the pas few weeks a large portion of these pages hav blanks instead of reviews. I cannot even view the review i myself posted a week ago!

For example, this yelp business page link text

if you scroll down to beneath of where it says:

'''Ask the Community Ask a question Yelp users haven’t asked any questions yet about Precision Dentistry.'''

there should be text and photos of companies' reviews and info. But instead, all i ever see are grayed out empty boxes.

I have tried:

disabling all my add-ons, 

private browing mode,

restarting firefox, 

turning of all tracking protection from the main firefox preferences pane, rebooting my computer, and clearing all history for everything. I have also googled this up the yinyang but no one else seems to be having similar issues.

Any ideas? if you could please help with this issue i'd be very grateful!

On many, many, websites when logging in I am getting the above message.

These sites work no issues but why is Firefox not recognized as a accepted browser.

Firefox says I am using the current release, and is up to date?

All this sites are important log on, like BofA, OptumRx, etc.

I am using an iMac, Mac OS 10.11.6.

It is still a really good machine.

When I enter the address of a website that I like the browser opens a chinese version of the same website. I try changing the address repeatedly and it always goes to the chinese website.

www.lomography.com goes to lomography.cn automatically. I can't change it.

I want to view the website in English (US).

Been trying to find my way through controls to change this but to no avail.

What do I do?

I am no longer able to log in to eBay using Firefox. I am using Firefox 78.15esu bc I have an older Mac that will only support up to Mac OSX 10.11. I was able to use eBay up until this morning when the site asked me to log in again... and verify that I am indeed a human through the hCaptcha checker. The checker cycles between identifying horses and lions... and every time, I seem to pass but then comes the message "Failed to pass Captcha, Please try again." I can access eBay using Safari and Chrome. Right before the failure today, the rendering of the eBay pages was odd... needed 3x the screen width to see the whole page. eBay says that the problem is on the Mozilla side of this issue... mostly because I can use a different browser without problem. I think I am in agreement with them. I don't really want to use a different browser but I will bc I like eBay, too. Please advise.

I didn't even realize you discontinued this security product. So it is synced across all my devices, and I want it GONE. I have old software on a Mac and it is embedded in my Firefox browser version 78.15.0esr (64-bit) I synced a phone and iPad. I updated to a new mac and then discovered Lockwise has been discontinued. Yes I was using it since '21 without knowing it was no longer supported.

I want it gone from everywhere. I manually screen-shot EVERY SINGLE PASSWORD, because I could see no way to export them all. I think that a password manager who has been discontinued for any reason really has an obligation to loudly inform users. Seems like a horrid security risk not to.

Bottom line: How do I delete all the data across the devices I so lovingly added the Mozilla family to? I'm really hoping it's not by going to each one and selecting REMOVE. PLEASE and thank you.

I have been trying to identify ongoing problems using Firefox (78.15.0esr (64bit)) on a Mac (using OS10.11.6) wiht Ancestry.com.

Most of the system works fine , except for their internal mail system and graphics.

When I copied some of the text produced (i.e. graphics) into BBEdit, I was able to isolate and produce a graphics output, so I am stumped.

When I spent hours trying to interact with Ancestry, all they do is to send links to FAQ (the same one form different issues) indicating that their 'Tech Support' is less than basic. they of course indicate that Firefox is the issue, but i don't believe this is the case.

I have used another Mac computer to try to access with no luck (changed settings on Firefox e.g. extensions).

Looking for a way to problem solve etc to rule out issues.

BTW Ancestry recommends the use of Firefox as the browser of choice.

Hello! I have Firefox, version 78.15.0 installed on my mac OSX 10.11.6. A few days ago I lost the ability to use messenger in FaceBook. I cannot send or receive messages from others. When I click on messages, nothing happens. This happened suddenly. Otherwise, Firefox works as normal on my older mac. Can you give me a hint as to what is causing this? Old non-tech guy, perplexed... Our 2009 MacBook Pro is physically perfect, but it has OS 10.11.6. Apple's server said "no" to OS 11 or maybe even 10.12; I cannot recall which. (The 2015-16 Mac is fine with OS 12.6.3 and FF 110). Apple long ago quit supporting the older Safari. The older Mac's Firefox works well but seems stuck on FF 78.15esr. In FF Preferences it says "Firefox is up to date." Bravo, _if_ enduringly true. But I sense, among the hi-tek jabber, that even security support for 78.15 is ending soon or already has (esr is also up to about #110). Someone said "You're stuck if you cannot upgrade OS to 10.12 or higher." We have no interest in new features but need email and ordinary browsing. I can afford the cost of new hardware and app-banditry, but not the stress of shopping, migrating, and struggling through the learning curve much less a security breach. What can we do?

Hi, my 2008 Mac Pro uses OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6 and I am on Firefox 78.15.0esr, I cannot install the new upgrade. Can I continue using the older version of Firefox even though the sync will not work anymore?

In Amazon.co.uk, when I tried to remove items for view option, the option is not working. I tried with Safari and it works?? so is it a bug with firefox or amazon, but then again why aill it work with other browser....

The original way I set up my account was with [edited] @unseen.is; showing with the little icon next to it in the upper right corner of the page (Lockwise)

That ISP is no longer functioning. Therefore, when signing in, the prompt says, to "check my email". But of course I can't because it no longer exists!

However I did change the https://accounts.firefox.com in the Firefox Lockwise. (See attached image)

Hi there, Please see attached image of screenshots of searches on Firefox and Chrome. The Firefox search images are incomplete whereas the Chrome images are complete. This has only started happening on Firefox recently. Can you please help me resolve this issue. I have cleared the cache & cookies, restarted my macbook etc but nothing has worked.
