I have noticed in a couple of websites, a link or text box does not appear in Firefox, but does in Chrome (unfortunately, I don't remember which site that was). Also I have tried to open my Citibank account (Citibank.com.au) but it comes up with an error and wont open, yet it does with Chrome. I would rather not use Chrome, but I may not have a choice if this problem is not addressed.

I am developing an extension. I am running the extension locally and I have noticed that it doesn't load on this page (https://support.mozilla.org). Is there some limitation to running extensions here? The same extension works fine in google chrome for this page. It is very important for me that the extension runs everywhere since it's an accessibility extension.

I created a folder on my bookmarks toolbar, in there are more folder, entertainment , comparison sites etc. All were connecting up until a few days ago, now if I click on a link, it just does not connect. If I type in the search bar the site address it connects within seconds.

So even on a unprotected machine, some webpages VERY slow to load but not all. My internet provider, Virginmedia, is also my email provider and sometimes this email homepage times out. Had the same problem with win 10 and did think, wrongly, that installing win 11 would cure this. It did not. Any ideas on this. A good friend is a computer tech so you can get technical. In `task manger` anti virus etc has been stopped.

i recently lost my computer to destruction. i have a number of files saved by Mozilla backup on a thumbdrive. i have several backup files dating from 2014 all the way until now. after re-installing Firefox on a new computer, i tried MozBackup to restore my old Firefox from the latest file dated a coupla of months ago this year. the files have names like Firefox 16.0.2 (en-US) - 2013-01-05.pcv or .pfc. when i tryt and load it into backup it saysit isn't a valid backup file. how can i get this to work?

For years I’ve had no difficulty accessing online my HSBC bank accounts in UK using Firefox. In recent days they have changed their security access method whereby their site now requests a security number generated on one’s phone using the HSBC App (it used to be a random number from an HSBC supplied handheld device) which then has to be input via my Windows 10 PC to access my data. If I use Microsoft Edge as browser, everything works fine, but when I try Firefox my system just hangs after I’ve put my bank ID into the HSBC opening page (the first security step) and simply never opens the next HSBC page which would ask me to generate the said code on my phone. Seems a browser related problem. Any ideas why Edge works but Firefox does not?

I am trying to use a new HP Spectre laptop which will be my all purpose home computer. I selected Firefox Browser as the default browser but I don't believe it has ever come up as my browser. It is loaded among many other apps (?). I used to call them programs (?). I get Edge, Chrome, Bing, and others, none of which I want or ask for. They just seem to appear randomly.

I download then open many student files each day. PDFs open fine automatically, but never Word files. In the Applications settings dialog, I have tried to choose the file format docx and doc. But neither are recognised as a valid file type. I realise that Microsoft is a bully and Mozilla may be trying to discourage its use, but I and the students are stuck with Word. How come docs and doc are invalid and how can I persuade Firefox to open them?

Hello, I have encountered a lasting issue: Firefox' telemetry collection process causes a cmd window to pop up briefly. The windows sometimes lingers a split second later, and if I accidentally click it at that time, whatever program I'm in will get minimized and I'm back on the desktop with cmd window at front. You might want to have a look at that, I disable my telemetry for time being. Firefox version is 99.0.1 (64 bits), operating system is Win10 10.0.19043. Respond for other data you might need. A subscription service I purchased (Kine Mania TV) has on several occasions gone to a porn site. I have enjoyed many hours of wholesome TV series and movies at Kine Mania TV - but HATE it when smut shows up instead! Please advise - this is scary stuff for an old lady. I opened Firefox as usually, but passwords are missing, only logins are available. There is also a file called logins.json-1.corrupt in the profile folder.

Renaming it back to logins.json with restarting the computer does not work.

There are no previous versions of these two files available in the system.

Please let me know how I can recover passwords, may be with a special software.

something new-- I can't sign in to my att account like I always have. I can still log in on older win 7 and android devices. Only this win10 desktop is now having problems today. Any suggestions?

I use Kaspersky for my internet security. I choose the 'Safe Money' option for many other sites...but cannot connect sign on with my bank. Because the page always comes up asking for me to choose a browser. I down load and update the firefox site. This does nothing except giving me multiple firefox updates! What is happening and how can I stop having this issue pop up? The other sites on 'Safe Money' are not banking sites, but still need security. Do I have to change browsers? with firefox, drag and drop for attachments is not working using macOS High sierra, and outlook emails. It works ok in Chrome but I dont want to change over. I deleted cache and cookies and restarted. It worked ok for a while but stopped working agaiin.
