Firefox crashes on startup - this started right after I installed the latest update. It just says that an error occured and that I can try to restart, but then the same thing happens. I have tried all the steps in the crashes article, but nothing seems to work. I can't even start it in safe mode - then it just freezes completely.

How do I fix this? I'm hoping to keep all of my bookmarks and stuff.

Firefox crashes. I uninstalled, then reinstalled. It still crashes. I deleted the entire C:\Program Files\Mozilla folder, reinstalled and it still crashes. It crashes in Safe Mode.

It seems that, since a few weeks, Firefox no longer closes a window when pressing ctrl-w even if there is only one tab in the window.

What I mean is that, if I open a new window (ctrl-n), it won't close if I press ctrl-w (or ctrl-F4) immediately after. If there's is one window with one tab, the application won't close.

ctrl-shift-w won't close all windows as it used to either. I've tried finding a preference about this that could have been deactivated by mistake, but couldn't find anything.

I have just upgraded to Firefox 8. The "sessions" entry has vanished from the "Tools" menu. I had about 20 sessions recorded and would like them back.

If this feaature has been reemoved from Firefox, can anyone tell me where the data might be stored on my haard drive? If I have to, I will go through the file with a hex editor.

Many web sites not loading with correct format under 8.0 but work fine with IE. At first thought my internet connection was having issues because text was loading but format and images had issues, but not internet connection. Example is www.msnbc.com or www.blueovalnews.com

I installed Firefox 8 today to give it another try after a pretty bad experience of switching from FF 3.6 to FF 4.0. Right now, i've dealt with most of the inconveniences of the switch, but there is one thing i don't get.

What happened to the tab navigation behavior? I mean, i used to be able to switch tabs from left to right with Ctrl+Tab and from right to left with Ctrl+Shift+Tab. And it was perfect for me. Now Ctrl+Tab is opening some sort of a preview window, and Ctrl+Shift+Tab opens the All Tabs list.

How could i get the previous behavior back? I'm too used to it to change myself simply because somebody came up with a new way that he thought would suit better.

I have a problem with firefox. The problem seems to perist if I uninstall firefox and delete profile data, remove plugin and even install firefox anew. I cannot see any tooltips. when I try to boomark a page, I cannot see the bokmark miniwindow. Similarly I cannot view the save password for page window. Both of them seem to appear randomly for a brief moments as I move my mouse. I only have this issue with firefox as other programs/browsers operate normally, and I have it for at least a week now, cant remember exaclt when but it wasnt always the case.

Under the history link there is a button "clear recent history" but it is greyed out so I can't click on it. I want to clear my cache because I hate autofill. I've already changed my settings so it won't remember anymore things, but how can I clear what's already there?

After downloading Firefox 8 & 9, then installing both, we no longer have a Firefox logo! We downloaded another Firefox 8, and still no Firefox logo. What gives?
