In previous version(below 70) of firefox the site was working fine even after the captcha error message. The site is working fine in next tab in same browser. Issue is occurring only in firefox browser

I am having two problems: 1) the Firefox Privacy notice tab keeps automatically opening a new window in the browser. Even when I close it, it reappears again.How to I stop that? 2) the main menu does not appear at top of the browser about the open tabs/windows. When opening a link from email, Firefox 70.0.1 will launch and open two windows. The front window contains the desired link opened while the rear window opens my designated home page. Additionally the front window at the link address has all of the Mac OS menu bar blank with the exception of Firefox next to the Apple icon. The rear FF window, if brought to the front will show all of the usual FF menu items in the Mac menu bar (File, Edit, View etc) see screenshots.
There was another similar problem but none of the suggestions have resolved this. I have went as far as refreshing Firefox, creating a new profile yet the issue persists.
This problem will only occur when FF is closed and must launch to open a link. When FF has already launched, opening a link in a new tab in an already opened window functions as it should.
Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Firefox 70.0.1 OS Catalina 10.15.1

Im not talking about when you press back and then youtube forces you to stay on the current video even though its actually a different url because it senses that you want to go back to search results which wont automatically play another video and hence make them less money... Im talking about opening a new tab, searching for something on youtube, and then when I press a video/search result, the back button is greyed out implying I wrote the whole url for that specific video into the address bar without ever searching it up... How is that possible??? How is youtube actually removing my local browser history? Is that what theyre doing or are they somehow manipulating my browser to think there is none? This stinks so badly...

I removed a chrome routine that was shown as an unsupported script on Firefox, and for a while all went well. Now it is back. I have deleted and reloaded Firefox, then tried deleting all Firefox files in Library (and lost all my bookmarks, but there are still problems.

My Firefox setting has DNS over hTTPS enabled no extensions and configured for cloudflare and my about:config settings network.trr.bootstrapAddress;1.1.1.1 network.trr.mode;3 network.trr.resolvers;[{ "name": "Cloudflare", "url": "https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query" }]
Network mode 3 means DOH should only resolve using DOH but I can still get to other sites instead of a message say "hmm where having trouble finding that site"

But from 1 or 2 day agos, all of them suddenly share the same sync settings. When I change sync settings of one device, other devices sync those settings, too.

I play them on google chrome browser and they are just as fast as if played on my mobile device. I'd like to have flash games on firefox play/run just as fast.

I'm on Fedora 31. Firefox was recently upgraded to 71.0 and I find a weird pattern in trying to open links from applications - possibly related to Slack:
If firefox was initially opened following a link from Slack, I can open other links from Slack, but trying to follow links from other applications (IBM Lotus Notes, or running "firefox URL" from a terminal window) fails with a "Firefox is already running" message.
If I open firefox from the desktop applications menu, the reverse happens. I can open links from Notes and a terminal, but following links from Slack fails.
I tried reinstalling firefox and slack with no success. Today I tried going back to an earlier version - firefox-70.0.1-4.fc30.x86_64.rpm - and everything seems to be okay.
It seems like something changed in firefox 71 that doesn't play well with Slack.

Mac OS Catalina 10.15.1 In Preferences, DNS over HTTPS is Off. (I tried toggling that On then Off but nothing changed) In Privacy & Security I have Strict settings, though when Standard is selected the behaviour does not change.
I know that with DNS over HTTPS set to On that HOSTS is ignored. Not ideal but there you go. But with that Off Firefox did respect the HOSTS entries I have.
Something has changed?
How do I get Firefox to always use my HOSTS file before looking elsewhere?
