Earlier today I tried to full screen youtube and It wouldn't work. I saw some suggestions on here saying delete cookies so I did and now it full screens, however the video is partway down the screen and above it is an empty white box. I've tried restarting in safe mode and deleting cookies again and neither of those worked. i'm having no issues in other browsers so I have no idea what could be causing it.

I have the +-sign on my old stationary windows computer, but not on my new windows laptop. They both have the latest Firefox version installed. I know that there is a "new tab" in the tools field, but that's just a "not so good option". I want it just to the right of the last tab. Hope someone knows something about this  ;-/ / Jan

I see that the new FF67 is starting to use WebRender in some situations. Blogs note that Windows 10 Desktop with nVidia should use it. But a check of about:support shows mine is using Direct3D 11. Just how does it decide it's safe to use? I know I can force it on, but wonder if it thinks something is not compatible, or it's just waiting for some background switch from Mozilla to enable it?

I tried the page that 4 different "fixes" in Firefox help none of them has helped. Would it be easier just to revert back to before the issue and if so how do i step back a single update.

I have a 64-bit HP laptop, running Windows 10 Home, with 12 gig memory, and 2T hard drive.

Is this going to be an ongoing problem every time Firefox installs an Update???? I have better things to do with my time than beat my head against a wall with these SAME continual problems.

I went to your support page (it also shows at the top of this page) and it sent me to a URL that was supposed to fix this problem and I installed that version. Mozilla Firefox 67.0 (x64 en-US) I rebooted and it STILL does not work.

I'm really struggling to be nice here. You knew that this was a problem from some months ago and you let it happen again. OMG.

In trying to get this add-on to work, I've disabled my other two add-ons then I Removed and Re-installed this Add-on and still it does not work. The download button appears but when I click on it, nothing happens. So what gives, this time? Is there ever going to be a permanent fix? I'm in the middle of downloading 5 youtube files that should have been done this afternoon, and now it is almost 11pm and who knows when/if they will ever get downloaded. I've wasted hours of my life on this! And you guessed it, it still does not work.

Doing various HTML5 benchmark tests, i discovered that my hardware acceleration seems to be off. Manually turning it on in "about:config" doesn't change either. It works perfectly on my desktop pc (windows 10 with latest firefox, and arch linux with v65), just not on my macbook.

https://testdrive-archive.azurewebsites.net/performance/fishbowl/

this is one of the test. Safari halts auto at 750 fish, chrome at 650. Firefox outputs 15-20fps at 10 fish.

http://www.kevs3d.co.uk/dev/canvasmark/

Same deal, Safari at 12500+, chrome at 12500+, but Firefox at 9000. I tried disabling my addons, tweaking performance settings, nothing works. Hardware acceleration just doesn't seem to be on. can anyone advise? thank you!

Hi, There use to be an option regarding saving opened tabs when we close firefox. I can't find it now.

As you may know that after enabling this option one could save all his/her tabs on exit and start where we left on next launch. It is really helpful.

Previously: about:config [something].showQuitWarning

EDIT: Solved this issue by creating a new user profile via "firefox -P" in the terminal, then copying all the files and folders from the old directory file (~/.Mozilla/firefox/<random>.default for a default installation) to the new one. Apparently something was missing from the old user profile, though I'm not sure what.

Hello all! I'm having a strange problem after an automatic update to the newest version of Firefox on my system. I'm running Firefox 67.0 on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS.

Every time I try to load a webpage, the browser seems to get stuck somewhere in the process of fetching the data from the site—the page remains white and the status indicator on the bottom left is either absent or perpetually stuck on "Waiting for <host name>..." or sometimes "Connecting to <host name>...". This happens indiscriminately for new tabs and tabs that are already open but not loaded. I can load about: pages like normal, but when I go to about:addons and select "Get Add-ons", it's the same story—the online content never loads into the page.

Other browsers load all web pages like normal, as does Firefox in safe mode. Since everything worked as normal in safe mode, here are some things I've tried to fix the issue, none of which have worked:

  • Disabling all extensions.
  • Disabling hardware acceleration.
  • Switching to the default theme and renaming my userChrome.css file to make Firefox not use it (I don't have a userContent.css).
  • Disabling the JIT JavaScript compiler.
  • Disabling JavaScript altogether.

I honestly can't think of any other reason why pages would load in safe mode but not normally. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If there's any specs, log files or command line output that I should post here just let me know.

Please consider to add an icon (button) for send.firefox.com on Firefox for windows devices (Firefox v 67). A great future will be the option for user to add/upload an icon and user to customize de action, the URL. In this way the near features of Firefox can be customized by the user.

I have asked this before and obviously nobody has actually read the question. FF automatically downloaded a completely NEW VERSION (not updating the old, but totally new). I now have both versions on the computer. I am using the new only ONLY for this at the moment until I get an actual answer to the question. The question is that the NEW version did NOT import any of my bookmarks etc. from the older version. How do I get those bookmarks into the new version? I had thought the sync function would do it, but that apparently is only for other things entirely. I'm starting to think that codewriters should be REQUIRED to take at least 9 hours of English (post high school).

Hi

After last Firefox update, everytime I start it, it pops-up this profile manager and I have to click on Start Firefox. No matter I select default profile and select this that it is starting with this profile, it is keep opening Profile manager everytime which is very anoying.

I tried to create another profile and this new profile is opening right away, but on this another profile all is "blank", I don't have anything there, not autocomplete, no passwords, nothing. Yes, I copied default profile files to this newly created profile but nothing changed, no autocomplete , no password, nothing like I had on default profile. So for now I am struggling with this pop-up everytime I open Firefox.

Any solution to this ?

Good thing everything on there other than "Welcome to Firefox Notes" which updated to 7:40 AM EDT today was just copied and pasted from my Microsoft Sticky Notes app. I don't know how this happened. I'll be more than happy to attach anything the folks at Mozilla need to look at to solve this problem in Google Docs. My notes are very valuable and important to me. As soon as this problem is solved, I'll copy and paste all my notes in my Microsoft Sticky Notes app into Firefox Notes just to be redundant like an airplane. If anyone with a similar problem could report this on the Bugzilla forums at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/, that would be great. I find every app that works with Firefox useful. I'll be very happy once Firefox Notes gets much needed reliability improvements, and new features like more formatting.
