Yesterday was fine and switched off. This morning took a long time to load, everything looked normal, Thunderbird works fine, then open Firefox, just the basic start page, all bookmarks, addons and history gone. The Profile is dated today and seems empty of data.

Did Firefox do an automatic update? and how can I get back all my data?

when l went to my task manager , l found these . 2 firefox.exe running in the same time.And when l remove someone ,the other is closing to. And l scanned my pc with malwarebytes and nothing founded. l reinstalled firefox but l can't escape from this . l want fix this and lf l cant l will start to use another browser. l am waiting your answer.

A yellow banner keeps on appearing at the top of my screen which says- A website is slowing you down, what do you want to do? On the right end are the options to stop, wait, or X. No matter which I choose, nothing seems to happen. The message usually disappears before I can react to choose an option. It soon reappears.

1--I was trying to find a way to make FF handle cookies the way I need it to. I clicked around in your help file until I arrived at the user submission quoted above -- which is *exactly* the same as my problem. When I clicked on it, FF said "page not found." Very frustrating.

2--Please tell me how to have FF prompt me about storing *all levels of* cookies involved in a web site on my computer. I have already tried various settings on your Options-Privacy page (including those in your help file) *and* the "View Page Info" page. When I use the settings you suggest, many web sites will not function correctly, even if I'm not ordering anything or making other kind of choices, etc.

Internet Explorer functioned exactly as I need it to, i.e.: I set it to prompt me before storing both first-party and third-party cookies. When it displayed the prompt, the options were to allow or not allow (for now), plus you could tell it always to apply your allow/not allow choice to that web site in the future.

Please tell me how to make Firefox behave like that -- of course, it doesn't have to be exactly the same buttons, etc., but the function has to be the same. As it is now, it seems you can't stop Firefox from allowing cookies, or certain types of them; I hope that's not true.

3--Lately I've been noticing ads coming up in separate Firefox instances (additional Firefox icon(s) displayed when you Alt+Tab between open programs). One of them even read my IP address. I am very upset about this. How do I turn that off? I looked in your help file and there's nothing about this. (I use a major antivirus program and keep it strictly up to date and run scans often.)

I have had to reset my second laptop, and have installed firefox, but cannot make my folders show with the shortcuts. Where do I show the folders on the top below the menubar?

I am currently working on deploying Firefox 50 in an enterprise environment. I have a few SSL Certificates that are required to be used. These are the steps I've taken so far:

• Generated the cert8.db with a sample profile
• Copied the cert8.db into C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser\defaults\profile
• Created new profile... profile loaded the correct cert8.db

I then found the cert_override.txt file (needed for a self signed cert) and copied it to the same directory, deleted profile and created another one. The problem is this time it didn't copy the file over...

I re-installed Firefox and deleted profiles many times I now cannot get the new profiles to copy files from \browser\defaults\profile anymore... Has anyone experiencing anything like this, or have any ideas on how to resolve...

It's worth noting that if I manually copy these files into the Firefox profile after generation the certs work as expected.

Hey having an issue where I am watching a video in a tab and then go full screen, and when I come out of full screen that tab is like "focused" and all my tabs have shifted to the right so fullscreen tab is the farest to the right.

I have three Windows machines and one Linux Ubuntu 16.04 LTS machine, which by the way runs W7 inside on an emulator. Is it possible to use the profile from my main computer in Ubuntu machine? I assume I can use it in the emulated W7 on that machine, it is W7. Thanks, Fred

After I've updated the Firefox browser to 50.0, I started having issues browsing multiple tabs. Whenever I have a tab that runs HTML5 (Youtube video or Twitch stream), and I'm on other tabs browsing, there is a high chance that my tabs crashes.

It doesn't happen in Safe mode, but even after I've manually disabled the few addons I have, it still crashes (I have no theme to my browser).

On every youtube video I watch, the audio and video go out of sync after about a minute. It has been happening for weeks now. I can make it go back in sync by pausing the video and playing it again, but it's annoying to have to do that every minute, especially for long videos. I tried turning off the html5 player in firefox, but it didn't work. I tried the flash player plugin for firefox, but the video was really choppy. I can't find any other fixes that apply to this problem.

I'm using firefox 50.0.1 and windows 10 (64 bit) version 1607. (I tried installing the updates suggested in the audio and video problems page on mozilla support for version 1607 64 bit, but when I tried to install them, they said they weren't applicable to my computer).

My routers web configuration page doesn't show certain text in Firefox, but displays fine in both IE and Chrome. Images attached showing an example of Firefox 50 with the "invisible" text, Firefox 50 with the "invisible" text highlighted, and IE 11 with it displaying correctly. I have already tried a completely clean install of both Firefox 50 x86 & x64 with no additional add-ons or extensions installed.

EDIT: The issue only exists on Firefox 49.0 and above. I tried 40.0 through 48.0.2 and the site displays fine. Tried 49.0 through 53.0a1 and the bug is present.

Today after more than 10 years I had to switch to Chrome...latest firefox release is so bad..it is not even posible to use it any more with few tabs opened..crashes...load every time I switch tab..and than crash...So sad...i can't bealive what happen with such great browser...I had to ask my self do they even try it before publish as official upgrade...I mean I have 2 machines and laptop..same thing every where,I will not even talk about other bugs....security holes...problem with RAM usage.... I wil look for older version and install it after remove latest release..

new computer, Firefox would open on top of screen with my bookmarks / toolbar ..... bottom of screen showed my other icons on my backgroung picture VERY NICE! I installed malwarebytes which i had on the old machine, ran the scan and now firefox and my bookmarks are gone .... I can open Firefox from the sidebar icon. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help1

It happened after Mozilla update. I've tried to make new install without erasing profile. It did not help.

This is getting old. I am tired of Fire Fox (FF) telling me what if good for me and what is not. I have read through all the other Flash fixes. I read through the finds on Bing for Flash fixes. I went through the Adobe site, and here, and no one has an answer - yet. "How can I stop FF from deciding whether or not the Flash I have is safe or not? " I do not want t6o have to update every day just because Adobe can't hold it together. Why Flash is even allowed on the Internet is beyond me, but it's there, most every site uses it.

When I dload the installer, and click it, nothing happens - no start, no end. And yes, I did close everything, uninstalled the Flash, and went to Stalkware Unlimited, AKA Adobe , and downloaded it, several times. Still won't start. Yes, My firewall is down, my anti-virus disabled, and anti-malware closed. So beat me! It still won't install.

FF won;'t let me 'surf' (there's an old word) the 'Net, so I have to opt for the Stalkware Chrome, or IE. Neither of which I trust.

When will FF drop the holier-then-thou or -wiser-than-thou attitude and just give a warming, instead of blocking everything? Everything bis vulnerable on the Internet - stop being so dictatorial and give your end users some choices when it comes to Flash.

I'm a bit OCD when it comes to my sessions. I never start a new session. Normally, I crash the browser (via Task Manager) or it crashes on its own and I only load up a few tabs. But even then the CPU hits 90-100% within 1-2 mins. Should I get rid of some of the tabs I have open even if they are not loaded/are not active? Should I start a new clean session? Wondering if my plugins are the culprit?

Firefox started freezing/hanging no matter what site I go to on Thanksgiving weekend. I had to lower myself to using Chrome. Yuck! I've tried everything I found on the issue on your support pages, including, but not limited to, happening in safe mode, refreshing, checking plug-ins, etc. Here are the details of what the report says when I try to close the "not responding" page:

It works fine on my work computer. Both still have Windows 7. I thought maybe a virus somehow made it through, but everything I have tried, even after Norton PowerEraser, isn't finding a bug or malware. I don't know what changed.

It puts my CPU usage through the roof, too! Help anyone, please? I don't want to lose my beloved Firefox. I will be grateful for any help I can get. Thank you.
