How do I hide the folders "Bookmarks Toolbar", "Bookmarks Menu" and "Other Bookmarks" in the bookmark sidebar?

In FF <48 I could just use the addon "Sidebar Bookmark Selector", but now (FF48) it is broken (sidebar is completely white, if one or more folders are hidden).

Is there some userChrome.css code to fix this quickly? :)

My reason is that I only use the "Bookmarks Menu" folder from the sidebar, so the three entries take space away vertically and even horizontally (because of the small folder arrows left of the folder name).

I don't understand why Firefox determines any software from Yahoo is corrupt? What qualifies Firefox to make such a stupid decision. I've been having issues installing Yahoo Toolbar onto my Firefox Browser all day. I tried installing the yahoo toolbar from Firefox's add-on and it doesn't work!

I downloaded the yahoo toolbar last night from the URL: https://toolbar.yahoo.com/?.intl=us which worked perfectly but as of this morning, Firefox determined the toolbar was corrupt because their "Certificate" was not up to date.

I can't tell you how frustrating this is, Firefox is in no position to say what's corrupt from Yahoo, really?! I will say any download I try from Firefox from your pathetic ADD-On page is not even close to being accurate. I tried downloading the yahoo toolbar from this URL: https://us.toolbar.yahoo.com/toolbar?code=113 but after downloading the toolbar this crap doesn't even show up and it doesn't exist after clicking on View> Toolbars off the Menu

What is firefox trying to do here, this really is driving me nuts and this is absolute BS, what are you people Firefox trying to do! Get your act together and why mess up something which isnt broken.

I really like the feature of FF where, when I start typing in the adressbar, a dropdown list appears with URL's I have visited before. This lets me select an adress quickly (fatser than using my mouse to navigate my favourites). Note: I have setup my FF to NOT display (google) search results in te adressbar.

Recently I have noticed a change in the behaviour of this dropdownlist (or maybe I'm mistaken?). The dropdownlist now consists of all URL's I've ever visited that contain the text I'm typing. E.g. when I type "a" in the adressbar the list (very long) will contain all URL's that have an "a" at any place in their URL, OR in the page Title.

What I would prefer is that the dropdownlist only contains URL's that actually start with (*) the text I'm typing in the adressbar. E.g when I start typing "fl", the dropdowlist should have freepascal.org and flyinsheep.nl in it, but not bugs.freepascal.org/view.php?id=30412 (the page title is "DBGrid Float-Field displays sometimes 3,89999999999 instead of 3,9").

(*) When I say "starts with" I mean that it should be intelligent enough to not take into account the protocol and preferrably also "www." could be omitted. E.g. "fl" woud also match www.flyingsheep.nl.

Is this behaviour of the dropdownlist in the adressbar configurable somehow? I could not find anything in FF Options.

I save everything to Unsorted because it's easier for me. As of today my Unsorted option is no longer there in my dropdown or anywhere at all. Please tell me how to get it back as I love the ease of just doing the easy one click to access Unsorted. Now it seems it's making me go somewhere else. I have tried to download an add-on for Unsorted but nothing happens. Very frustrated.

Questions in the main support forum are only indexed by Google if they are marked solved. Questions that are deleted or marked as spam will not be re-indexed by Google. Questions that are closed for any reason by a Mod or Admins I believe fall in to the latter category.

Rather than try to look up the documentation or try to get my head around code it is far simpler to test this live on the forum thus this question. LMGTFY is a fairly rare target string. I will post ths question mark t solved then immediatly close it.

Question posted by a Moderator for test purposes.

I anticipate it will not show up on Google. (I will probably unlock the question later.) I can even test that by using LMGTFY. Note unless you explain exacctly how &/oir or provide the link to the relevant hit from the results of the search. The initialism LMGTFY may be considered offensive: rather like Read The Fine Manual.

Lets also try out the internal searches

N.B. If anyone has good reason to use LMGFY links for a helpful purpose all well and good but please use the full link not the shortened link so that it is clear what you are searching for. Please do not port obfuscated or shortened links on the forum (With the exception, maybe on the Android forum of shortened links copied from Mozilla documentation)

I would like to check if there is a bug with printer in Firefox: HTML with CSS target selector https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7w3ZGc8CTgqMUxWZkdONlhyZWM

If you select `ru` it will hide all non-ru text, but when you is trying to print Firefox resets target selector and again there is english text. Chrome is able to print correctly with CSS target selected elements

The question is it maybe a bug in Firefox that resets target selector?
