A window purporting to be a 'Firefox security alert' has popped up twice when opening websites (not the same site each time) stating I have viruses performing a scan stating there are 98 viruses but listing only 9 and stating I should download a program called InstallSecurityCentral_787.exe from http:// swocmod. ce. ms.

I am suspicious that this is a ploy to get me to load a trojan or virus and would appreciate advice on the subject.

I have run a Comodo virus test on the file and it came up clean but as it is a link loader and not the actual program this is not surprising.

A Comodo scan on Sunday 05/06/2011 did not find the files listed by the alert?

I am running version 4.0.1

The Bookmarks dropdown index only includes: Bookmark this page Show all bookmarks Bookmarks toolbar (does nothave export facility on this) Recent Tags Recently Bookmarked Get Bookmark add-ons Following these subject headings is a complete list of all my bookmarks.

The Tools dropdown has no export function either

the Help file 'Exporting bookmarks to an HTML file states there is a dropdown called 'Organise Bookmarks' - there is not one.

I have an urgent need to back up this file because I have to do a Windows REinstall and my 'C' drive will be wiped!

thanks Richard Townsend

When clicking the link below, firefox will move to the site but prompts the user with a notification that it cannot verify the secure connection. Technical details state the certificate is invalid (no other useful information there) and the button "get me out of here" reveals a screen where there is a message stating the certificate is valid and there is no need to add an exception. All buttons are greyed out then, and thus preventing to access the site. No overrule or any other method works, so we (= our company) are forced to use an other browser to access our suppliers e-learning environment. I've tried to modify the two flags in about:config, but apparently those are depricated since they don't affect behaviour. (browser.ssl.override_behavior and browser.xul.errorpages.expert_bad_cert) - edit: apparently the link falls off. this is the link: https://wbt.progress.com/
