I spoke to BT who proved that Firefox and not Edge was the problem and there is a need to know how to remove entries which appear under the Firefox through either Autofill or Autosave or finally Autopopulate. This need arises from a problem which has arisen under username entry and which cannot be permanently removed.

I need some advice on how to resolve this problem!

I have been using firefox for 2 years now at work, logged in to sync the passwords and bookmarks. To my knowledge it seemed to be working fine.

I reimaged my laptop last week and reinstalled firefox and logged into my account and it did not download any of my saved bookmarks and saved passwords.

I suspect it may have been caused by a partially failed initial install of Firefox which may have wiped the data from the account.

Does mozilla keep backups of the profile data? If they do, could my account be restored to the state it was in on Thursday 28 March 2024?

Actually my problem was solved. It came from the fact that following a maintenance intervention on the servers of the https site where my account was located, and access to which was blocked by Mozilla, the automatic updating of certificates had not worked. Which the site technicians resolved following a request I sent to them.

how do i make my firefox multi account container thing open links from external applications in the container of my choosing, rather than auto opening in no container?

My Laptop OS was dead, I unable to syncing my bookmark on new windows-10 OS and logging with gmail account.

how can i get the syncing bookmark on my laptop.

Since the latest update 124.0.2 when I close firefox out and when I reload later it will not load my home page and does not have any of my settings saved. It shows that I am logged out of firefox. I have checked all of my settings but every time I close firefox it will not open to my set homepage and my settings.

Can you recommend some kind of extension thet will only check current icons for the bookmarks? Just that. I don't need duplicate bookmarks checker, inactice checker and God knows what else checker. Just icons, that's good enough for me.

TL;DR: Make sure you're on the latest... turn Sync off on the computer that isn't showing the remote tabs, then turn Sync back on.

Details:

Three computers (Windows), a phone, and a tablet. Firefox 124.0.1.

Sync is enabled and generally seems to be working fine. But I just noticed, on one computer, that when I went to Firefox View, and clicked on "Tabs from Other Devices", that it was showing nothing, other than the, "Log into your Firefox Profile", which I was already logged in... so that was messed up.

Did a number of things, like checking the other computer, manually syncing from the other computer, coming back to this one, and telling it to manually sync. It also seemed to be stuck in syncing (a grayed button that said "Syncing...")

I looked, and there was an update available to 124.0.2, so I used this opportunity to upgrade.

When I came back in, I still didn't have the remote tabs showing up, so I turned off "Sync" entirely, but didn't log out of my Firefox account, and then turned it back on.

Now I'm seeing the remote tabs.

That's how I fixed it. I hope it helps. I see others having Sync problems, and getting terrible suggestions that are not helpful. In this case it's the simple thing that fixed it for me. Turn it off and turn it on again. If that doesn't work, unplug the computer from the wall and plug it into another outlet.  ;-) ( That's a joke for those of you with a sense of humor. )

I need your help because i can't find solution to problem. On my apple macbooks air m1 i experience a very annoying thing:

Often while i'm scrolling on websites smooth scroll animation get choppy/sluggish for few moments and lagging. It's like animation is FPS dropping during the scroll. I tried lot of things on both device:

- tried without extensions - created new profiles - use without syncing data - disabling hardware acceleration (gets worst) - disable smooth scroll in settings (get worst) - completely remove firefox with AppCleaner and reinstall it - Reinstall macOS and just install firefox alone. I tried latest Ventura and Sonoma

I don't have clue why this happening but ruin user experience very bad. With Safari everything is fine and smooth. On my wife's device (macbook air m3) have same issue.

Do you have any idea how can i fix it?

I had to reset my computer and lost the bookmarks there. When I reinstalled Fifefox I had to reset my password and lost my bookmarks associated with that email address. HOWEVER, I have firefox installed on my mobile phone with all bookmarks intact. Is there a way to get the bookmarks from my mobile to the laptop?

I had my computer lost in a fire 2 months ago.

When singing in to Firefox on a new computer, i lost my bookmarks.

I suspect they are somewhere in the data base how can i get them back?

In all instances, when I click on a link to view a document on a website, rather than simply pop up to view, the document is downloaded and I am required to save it to my computer. Something in the Firefox settings is preventing the pop-up view from occurring. Not certain where to reset in order to correct this. Please advise

I am watching a Twitch video on Firefox. When I open a new Firefox tab and drag it to another monitor, the Twitch video skips forwards about a minute.

I also occasionally notice skips or pauses when I switch from one tab in the same window back to the Twitch playing tab.

Is there any way I could fix these problems?
