I have Firefox set to reopen everything that was open when it closed. That only seemed to work if I had one window open, but I usually have a half dozen or more open with anywhere from a few tabs to well over 100 tabs in a window. The most reliable way I found to have those all reopen was to restart my computer. Firefox would be closed, but next time I opened it all the windows and tabs were there again. I needed to close Firefox a few minutes ago and didn't want to save all the other programs I was in the middle of, so (I thought I had done this before) I right-clicked the Firefox icon on the Taskbar and told it to close all windows. When I opened Firefox the next time it only opened one window (unfortunately the least important one), and only had two other windows in the History | Recently Closed Windows (also not very important windows). Are there any backup or other files where I could get back the other windows I had open? Unfortunately if I have a tab open for a month, for example, it is not saved in today's tabs, and it's not feasible to scroll back through thousands of listings in the history trying to figure out which tabs I had open. In a sub folder, no messages show, but, above where they should be (above the column titles), it tells me there are 2 messages. How do I get to see them and stop this ever happening again?

I accidentally blocklisted Tumblr - and the popup says to go to options, but when I look, there is nowhere for me to remove Tumblr from the blocklist nor can I find the blocklist itself.

If i use the Windows 11 search (for "disk management windows 11"), windows opens a new empty firefox window (apart from my default homepage). I seem to have a problem with popups and links generally.

I have adblock/adblock plus and other add-ons, but I hvae disabled those and still get the same problem.

Search in Outlook.com/Hotmail.com/Live.com not working. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox. Ran windows update. Seems to work fine on another computer. System: windows 10. Firefox version 123.0.1

I set up a Primary Password, but I can easily get around it by clicking 'cancel' then clicking 'home' icon. then I can get into ANY of the links. For others who have access to my computer NOT having that access is Exactly why I set up Primary password in the first place. Surely there must be a way to fix this???? haas2128@comcast.net Thanks. I have a macbook pro running Sonoma 14.2.1. A few days ago I noticed the computer didn't update to the current version of Firefox when I attempted to do so after being prompted that an update was available. I went to "About Firefox" and saw the error message "Failed to check for updates". Please help. Thanks.

I don't know where the problem lies. I have a number of videos on youtube and when I was doing some work in markdown I clicked on an older link and was redirected to a website with some bozo trying to promote something - not mine. I tried a few more times and got a bunch of different websites and bozos. This is from clicking on the shared link on the the youtube page.

I don't know whether I've something on my computer, your browser that's causing it, or something somehow on youtube????

Got any suggestions?

When I sign in to my bank, placing the cursor in the username box produces a number of username options, including the actual unsername and other mistyped ones from previous login efforts. I don’t want any unsername prompts. I went to Passwords in Firefox and made sure to remove the bank as a site to retain and offer such information when signing into that account. I continue to receive these username prompts. This doesn’t happen with other accounts. I cannot track down where that username information resides, how to remove it, and how to prevent Firefox from retaining this username information for this bank account.

I often like to bookmark a website in multiple folders (e.g. School>Research and Work>Energy). I used to be able to do so by clicking the bookmark star as many times as I wanted and selecting the folder I wanted to save the page to and the page would show up in each folder I saved it to. Now for some reason, when I try to bookmark something in one folder it removes the bookmark from the other folders I saved it to. This is not good for me, why is it happening and how can I rectify this ridiculous change? Thank you.

As of a few days ago my login to my bank's website is not working. I can login, but the main page which should display accounts, etc. only displays the top half of the site, but not the lower half that should display the account information. I tried chrome, and that works fine. But I was wondering why FireFox is not displaying the website. I've been in contact with my bank and their I.T. department. And they claim there have been no changes or glitches, and their website should work with all majore browsers, including F.F. I do have a password manager, but I disabled that for the bank website. I've cleared cache numerous times. Rebooted, etc. I know there was a Microsoft Windows update a few days ago. In fact they sent 2 updates almost back to back. Which is unusual. I understand there have been cyber attacks recently. Don't know if that's related. Any ideas on how to get F.F. working on my bank's website? Thanks

Latest version of Firefox keeps making changes to hard drive when opened. Repair suggestions suggest changing settings not on my computer settings screen. No help!! very frustrating mess.

There is this new pop up coming on latest firefox version 123 about opening favorite link on firefox, I want to get rid of it programmatically using java, which argument or preference should I use ?
