Today when I opened my browser, my shortcuts were replaced with Chinese ones. How did this happen and where did my old ones go?
My laptop was sleeping, and not restarted. I had reopened my firefox.
These Chinese ones do not show in my list of shortcuts. (pictures below)
I do not use Chinese language sites
Malware scan turning up nothing (yet)
What is the best way to restore my shortcuts and make sure random ones do not come back.

This seems to be an known issue.
I deinstalled my Firefox and it created autmatically Desktop\Firefox\old data
I want to transfer my old data (esp. for my PW+Logins) and it goes nowhere
I found the files keys4 and login, copied to my actual Folder (after reinstalling). But it doesnt do anything.
I also copied the whole "old data" Folder to the new directory and overwrote it. Didn't help either.
Is there any way to get my old Logins/PW from this old data Folder or is it just a wast of time ?

This includes download links, so I'm unable to see any links or download anything being emailed to me by a number of senders. Weirdly, some senders' links work. The prior problem involved not opening bookmarks in a new tab even though the config:about entry was set correctly.
Is it possible there is a config:about entry that prevents any add-on from running?

I use Folders on the Bookmark tool bar. I backed up the folders in order to perform a refresh of Windows 10. I followed the instructions to restore the HTML file. The folders are now present under the application menu/Bookmarks/Manage bookmarks/BookMarks toolbar. The problem is I cannot determine how to bring the folders back onto the Bookmarks toolbar. The folders help me organize by subject matter and I need to get these back onto the toolbar in order to use them as I want to. Thank you.

I have located the files on the old hard drive, but import will not work. Is there anything I can do?
