Firefox autofill saves my phone number with a +1.

In other words instead of saving my phone number as 555-555-5555 it saves it as +1555-555-555. Of course this is rejected by 99.999% of the forms on the web making this part of the autofill useless. So I go to edit it by removing the +1 and save. It appears to save fine but when I look at it the +1 is back again.

Why the stupidity and and why not let me edit it to whatever I want?

firefox downloads articles with folder symbol indicating a successful save, then later dozens of articles show circle-arrow indicating that large numbers of articles did NOT download after all. I have to click each circle-arrow individually (20 or 30 or more sometimes) to "re-download" them, VERY VERY aggravating.

After a Windows system update, my usual first step has been to open Firefox and restore previous session. I am an old person and have had some memory difficulties in recent years so some of the pages I'd kept open on the taskbar icon had been there for as much as two or more years, but they always came back. After the most recent Windows update, the first thing that happened was that a message from McAfee (to which I subscribe) popped up. It was a very good 'Come-on," so I clicked it. It took me through doing some scans, then pitched a product that I didn't want to purchase so I closed that window. That resulted in a new, Firefox window opening, pitching the same product again. I now don't remember if I closed that pitch window and opened a new Firefox one before trying to restore previous session or if I tried the restore directly from that window but whichever I did, the only window that got restored was that latest McAfee pitch! Is there any way to get back the old stored Firefox pages from before the system update and my opening that McAfee window? Thank you very much.

I'm running the latest FF under Win7. Seems that whenever I go to the Merriam-Webster (dot) com site, after a few seconds, my disk activity light goes solid, and the FF CPU usage spike to 10-25%. One time, to regain control of my system (because everything seemed hung) I actually had to resort to the physical power-down switch. Obviously I immediately ran a virus scan upon coming back up (scan showed all okay). Now, if I stay away from Merriam-Webster, FF behaves normally. But it's a damned dictionary site. I occasionally will need to use it or stumble into it. I've used MW in the past without problems. Does anyone know what's going on?

Firefox worked fine until the latest update 115.3esr, at time it slows to a crawl... I am now sick and tired of Mozilla and Firefox, they are about to get the boot - my style, I've used them since about version 2.

Looking in the task manager Mozilla makes it look a disgrace, at time it's hard to get a fix on some entry's because they bounce up and down.

Firefox.exe 45,24K Firefox.exe 3,16K Firefox.exe 27,484K Firefox.exe 7,392K Firefox.exe 7,344K Firefox.exe 15,735K Firefox.exe 7,320K Firefox.exe 169,932K, I round it off to about 250MB

Does these look about right? Why can't they just have one .exe? (Win 7 Pro x64)

Thanks Dave

Background color when viewing SVG not consistent with theme

I'm already using a dark theme and dark color definitions, and whenever I directly view other image files (such as GIF, JPEG, PNG, or WEBP, or even MP4 or WEBM videos), the surrounding background area is a dark gray in accordance with the theme.

However, when I directly view any SVG, the surrounding background area is a bright white instead.  I thought it was pure white but, upon using a color inspector, it's actually #f6f5f4. Strangely, a similar problem happens with Chromium, Chrome, and Edge but the background area with them is actually pure white #ffffff.

I did find the below userChrome.ccs code and tried adding "|svg" to the list of extensions, but this did not change anything.

@-moz-document regexp("((.*\\.(png|apng|jpg|jpeg|gif|tiff|bmp|svg))|(^data:image\\/.*))(\\?([^#]*))?(#(.*))?") { html > body { background-color: #353535 !important; } html > body > img:only-child { background-color:#666 !important; box-shadow: none !important; margin: 0 !important; } }

The SVG's don't have any background color defined.  I tried searching around for "f6f5f4" since that's a pretty specific value, but I guess it's used more than I thought, and I didn't initially find any connections.

How could I adjust this bright white #f6f5f4 to some other color? Thanks
