Dear All:

Suddenly FF starts but shows only a new tab without any content. I can fill in a URL but no reaction. Settings doesn't open. Close tab through X Restart FF. no new tab but message: FF is already running but is not responding. The old FF process must be closed to open in a new window. Click to close. a new empty tab pops up without starting FF manually. Close through X Restart brings the same message as above - no window. Have to end FF in Task Manager.

Uninstalled and reinstalled three times - no change.

I'm using Windows 10 and Avast One, Firewall checked - is open for FF.

Stop hijacking the new tab and allow users to set and search from their own preferred home page. Why do we need an extension or add-on to fix a simple issue? Just let me pick my own home page and my own tabs. JEESUSS!

on the app extension page i have identity theft and i purposely draw attention to myself sort and stay in the sewer at the same time whie i figure out fi i wwant to press charges tellnthis guy to leave me alone ' i'm drawing attention to myself and protecting maybe someonw who should go to jail aka not me

ok so ive tried everything and from what ive seen firefox has a sudden spike in cpu in a random proccess and stops working before firefox kills it off and everything goes back to normal

one place where it happens consistently is the sign in page on ebay. the only fix ive found is opening firefox in troubleshoot mode

before you ask, ive reset everything on firefox. brand new install of it too. nothing on this version of it. still happens. its not the plugins nor settings

please help me im not the only one having this issue

3 days ago I closed my main Firefox Windowby accident, while other windows were open. To restore, I just used the normal "recently closed windows" option and reopened my windows. Immediatly, all my tabs that were assigned to "Containers" were duplicated, and I lost the "Simple Tab Groups" order. For each tab on a container, a second was created without an assigned container. Fine, i thought, just closed 130 tabs that were unassigned, and moved them to the right Groups again. Next day, i open firefox, same thing. All tabs duplicated (but now on the proper groups). Closed 130 duplicated tabs and moved on. But I can't spend 5 minutes each day doing it! Testing more, I realized that every time I close and reopen Firefox, all the tabs assigned to a Container get a copy. If i close and reopen firefox 10 times, i will get 10 copies of all tabs, with no assigned containers to them, ending up with 1300 unnecessary tabs.

I just cant figure out how to fix it. Any advice?

I usually use DuckDuckGo for searches. Since the last Firefox update, I get a popup ad for a "DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials" add-on every time I (a) re-open Firefox and (b) search with DuckDuckGo. How can I stop this?

I have set the regular browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false. That works but setting "browser.privacy.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false does not work.

Hi - my BitDefender Internet Security found this Trojan.GenericKD.62058384 in my firefox profiles folder - C:\Users\david\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\v6jicbrz.default-release-1662311998698\cache2\entries\E4A4EB628D5AE50B559489046BF17891EBE92F04=>(gzip)

Is this a false positive? This cache is nearly 1GB in size, are all the files needed?

I'm getting this on most of my websites that i try to access from Firefox. MSN, google links from searches almost making this browser unusable. It says i cannot by pass security. IT may have blocks from my company as well. It works on edge and chrome so why not firefox?
