I use element.io for chatting with friends. If users don't add a picture for their profile, they default to a colored circle with a letter in the middle. In Firefox, the circles aren't solid, but are stripped with different colors. Please see attached image.

Is there a setting where I can be notified before you take it upon yourselves to download/install an update? While I was away from my computer this afternoon I was hit by a Firefox upgrade that shut down my email and all my tabs. I've lost stuff I may never find again. If the MF'er responsible were in reach I'd punch his lights out. Seriously.

The Firefox app on my iphone11PRO does not retain history of sites visited. When I go to settings and click on History, there is an icon with a folder that says Recently Closed. Below that, there is the notation "Websites you've visited recently will show up here." But... Nothing is there. When I look at Homepage, "Recently saved" and Recently Visited" are both turned on. What am I missing?

Need to be able to load pages without every other webpage failing due to the error message : An error occurred during a connection to www.google.com. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR.

I am ready to uninstall Firefox and use Chrome exclusively. It is maddening. I have gone through the firewall exercise and fire fox appears to have permissions.

how to stop the annoying url popup that only moves from corner to corner when you mouseover it. It interferes with all the links nearby and annoys the hell out of me. I don't feel like "coding" so if you can't give me an easy solution I will swith to another browser.

Firefox is supposed to open in the same mode as when it is closed. This is not happening and while not a terrible problem it is annoying to have to resize the display every time I open the program. Nothing I do changes the situation.

Is this a bug in the latest update ?? If not, how do I correct the problem??

Firefox keeps suggesting deleted bookmarks when I type in the address/search bar. Bookmarks I deleted 5+ months ago.

I have removed the bookmarks from all my computers and phones. I reset my firefox account. Completely deleted the Firefox application and sub-files and folders from computers and mobile and re-installed fresh and clean copies and the deleted bookmarks are still sugested. Even installed on a completely new PC and they still come up.

I have rechecked my bookmark lists and they are not in there.

Any help on how to stop firefox recommending deleted bookmarks would be very helpful.

I recently upgraded my hard drive. I made a backup of the mozilla folders but now i have no idea where to restore these folders in order to restore all my bookmarks / settings etc.

Please help....

I’m using Firefox 103.0.1 (64-Bit) on a Windows 10 Home Version/Build 10.0.19044

My Firefox Home page is set to Google.com with the URL of: https://www.google.com

Additionally, New Tabs are set to the same Google main search page. A major frustration is that, intuitively, one would expect the input cursor to be blinking-away and chomping-on-the-bit waiting for the user’s query. No such luck… it seems necessary to manually use the mouse / finger or pointing device to put the focus in the webpage’s Search window located below the colored Google logo.

How do I adjust a setting to place the expected input cursor where we expect it to be (without the manual intervention)?

NOTHING MIGRATED. I downloaded the latest Firefox because nothing was working on previous versions, obviously. I tried to see if the updated version would migrate all of my tabs and bookmarks. It even showed me how to access them after I updated it! EVERY TIME I opened the tab of the downloaded new version it was clear that my information from the older versions had not migrated over. I had kept the version with my tabs and bookmarks open to check, just in case.

Then I thought, well, maybe I just need to reboot my computer as a whole.

So I did that.

Guess what?

ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS AND TABS ARE GONE. This is my work computer and I had a significant amount of information I was using. Gone.

I don't know how but it seems I lost all my account related data. I connected my account to my new computer but I don't have anything: no history, no apps, no password. Is there anything i can do? I have the hard disk of the old computer, can I restore the data from it?

My side bars do not show anymore, contacts and games I play do not show. I have to use slider bar because what is showing is so huge I can't see everything I saw before. Trying to make it smaller does not work. Trying to make print smaller does not help. This happened with the last update in July.

Its been a couple of weeks since I receive this message when trying to access Macy.com "You don't have permission to access the requested URL on this server."
