I never had an Firefox account i never used sync. I had a problem with setting firefox as standard webbrowser and the solution for that was reinstalling the browser... The desription said that all would be saved (tabs and passwords) and i only would have to reinstall the browser. Now suddenly i dont have anything that was on before and the browser is completly different.

Can sync use the information that is supposedly allready on my desktop to regain my data or is theere nothing i can do? If so that would be the reason to never use this browser again.

Since i cant use webgl in the last version of FF (updated by me today / tried to force webgl in settings) i decided to downgrade it to previous version... and i cant use my old profile - even if i chose it in profile manager after restart i got warning about using an older version of FF and i can onlu quit or create new profile... what i can do ?

Return to last place after scrolling to another page instead of from first page.

I use Scenesource to download items of interest, after scrolling down to find what I want, the settings do not allow me to get to the last page I started from and goes back to the first page. I know that I found the setting before but at my age I cant seem to get to it anymore. Can someone tell me how to get that back?

I am a computer user. Don't try to be able to be a power user, as I have better things to do with my time. I downloaded Firefox to be able to take some FEMA courses required for my Search and Rescue volunteering. I download it and installed. Launch the program and followed instructions to set up an account. OK that seemed a bit much for a free browser but I assumed like all internet based companies it was a data collection exercise that would test my dedication to blocking all email spam.

After the account set-up, I was met with the concept that I needed a browser on a second machine to be linked to the account. Some lame excuse that you couldn't sync with only on computer with the browser. Funny thing why would you want to sync if you only had one machine with the browser. Have a simple backup system would take care of any of that. Oh well I was stuck because the browser would not function and I followed through with downloading the program onto my iPhone and scanning the code. It seemed to work. The only acknowledgments is a continuing barrage of emails telling me "someone is trying to log into my account." Yea that's me because I got asked a second time to set-up this bloody link. Some something is not working.

I would just delete everything (account and Firefox) but I am scared that my email address will be tarred and feathered and not allowed to be used again ever!!

Help please. What I hoped to be a quiet morning completing 2 need courses has ended up costs me hours of frustration.

Firefox asks me to download an update multiple times a day. When I click to initiate the update I am taken to a marketing page headed with the VPN and no download happens. It has become very irritating. How do I complete the download and stop the constant interruptions?

Firefox glitched last night and I had to reinstall it. In the process, I've lost everything. I have an "old data" folder on my desktop, but no matter how many times I import it, none of my old stuff shows in Firefox. It also stalls on files and says the names are too long. This is all complicated by the fact that I am almost blind. I am desperate for help as most of my site passwords were generated by firefox so I don't have a single clue what they are. Bookmarks are all gone. I'm literally crying. Please help.

Things I've already tried: Import old data by copy/paste method. Repeatedly. Replace sqite files for passwords, sessions, etc.

Yesterday when I installed the 96.0 update it has forced my background color into a dark grey and ignores the background color setting. I would like to know if there is a setting, add on or update that can return this to normal. The theme I am using has not been updated in 2 years so I am fairly sure the update has caused this.

Hi, Huge problem here. My Firefox won't start. There is a message that Profile is Missing, but no solution from support helps. Itried to reinstall app, romove profiles, copy profiles from time machine when the app was running, even profile manager doesn't start from terminal - it throw same error.

I dont have any idea what's wrong. Someone something? Please help me.

I am helping somebody troubleshoot some issues with a new PC and they are using Firefox browser. They have some other PCs with Firefox as well, all running Windows 10 21H1 and up-to-date versions of Firefox. When they download files, the dialog asking to open or save is missing the option to "do this automatically for files like this from now on". It is present and works on the other PCs but not the new one. It doesn't matter what the file type is or where it comes from. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

W10 Pro (sys info & TS info are below) I run both w/32-bit 91.4.1 esr & 64-bit 95.0.2 on the same machine. I tried to manually upgrade the esr to 64-bit but am told 'unable - system incompatible' and get the W XP & Vista support ended at 52.9...I'm running 32-bit 91.4 AND 64-bit . Help me understand if/what is incompatible so I can manually push my esr to 64-bit. Getting to 64-bit from 32 (per help page) says to just download and run the 64-bit ESR setup.exe. That fails...same issue...incompatible. FF setup thinks my OS isn't W10 Pro....so does the ESR FF 'application menu'...and the TS info. My ESR is set as the default browser app. AND I don't have any (known) issue with the 64-bit 95.0.2 Advice? Do I need to uninstall the 32-bit esr strangely I am already running 91.4.1 32-bit esr...says HELP/about.??? I'd like to know what esr is actually running...I presume 32-bit. Thx, wgk
