I downloaded firefox developer edition from: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/developer/ But almost every 5-6 days it shows a prompt saying firefox have an update, download it from website we will help you install it. It's inefficient and time consuming to manually download and setup firefox after every update.

I am not new to Mozilla or Firefox as my first version was 1.0 in ~ 1998. I rarely use the current version of Firefox as; it never works 'out of the box', one has to learn to use the 'new features' by trial and error as there are no instructions of the 'changes'..... Being BUGGED for weeks every second to "upgrade", they wore me down. I tried to install rel 87.0. I got a message warning that using an older release would be disastrous and the two options was “EXIT or CREATE A NEW PROFILE". I choose EXIT. IT REFUSED TO CONINUED. It only accepted "NEW PROFILE". After 87.0 came up, EVERYING WAS GONE, BOOKMARKS, HISTORY, ADD-ONS....and an hour later trying to customize the toolbars.... AND features like the old "+" TO ADD A NEW TAB.... IT REALLY "GOT MY 'GOAT'. [A NICER FORM OF HOW I FELT ABOUT MOZELLA/FIREFOX PERSONNEL] and rel 87.0 There are NO actual instructions on how to go to your old profile which MIGHT let you see, restore all the crap a NEW PROFILE LOST. Now I am blank and lost all the time I spent trying to customize 87.0 hours ago. AM I THE ONLY ONE FRUSTRATED WITH "MOZELLA" And its "personnel"?

ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO RECOVER ALL MY "HISTORY" I LOST WITH THIS 87.0 FIASCO? Or am I SCREWED.

Firefox is making itself a "pain..." again. It is now unhappy I am using an OLD PROFILE and wants me to use/go to a new one.

Your advice? Of course I hesitate as going to rel 87.0 got me into this trouble in the first place by losing EVERYTHING and forcing me to create a new profile, while "hiding" everything and started me from scratch. So now again, "I hesitate". I am almost 84 yo and I cant keep trying to recover FIREFOX bookmarks, add-ons...history.. keeps losing with every release.

Your advice? TRY to get at least, the bookmarks I recovered to a "new" profile or ignore FIREFOX and keep using my old working profile? Anyone find a way to "recover" lost ONETAB URL's?

I downloaded the Firefox browser and ran the program. The homepage does not bring me to the New Tab page, but instead keeps bringing me to the page to download the browser. I've done it more than 6 times and still get the same result.

Either I'm a dork or the instructions that I have found are not very clear. I have been trying for several days to transfer my settings from my desktop to a new laptop. I have gone to the %appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles page until I'm blue in the face. I transferred a directory called "m80s2e9e.default" from the profiles directory on the desktop to the %appdata%\mozilla\firefox\profiles directory on the laptop but keep getting "Firefox profile cannot be loaded" error. April 10, 2021 Hello, I created my GMAIL account on Mozilla (last version 78.9.1 (32 bits)).

When I try to send a mail I receive error messages (see "Error sending msg from Gmail Mozilla 01.JPG").

When I cancel these messages, a page opens (see "Error sending msg from Gmail Mozilla '02.JPG").

When I validate my Gmail account address (see "Error sending msg from Gmail Mozilla '03'.JPG"), the previous page is displayed again. It is impossible for me to validate and enter my password.

I want to install Firefox on a new Windows 10 PC which has an SSD for its C: drive and an HDD for its D: storage drive. I would like to minimize SSD usage if possible and know that the FF profile can be moved to the D: drive.

I did quite a bit of searching & some people have a lot of SSD activity & say to move a cache folder or the AppData/Roaming folder. Other people don't seem to have a problem.

Is there a recommended configuration in order to minimize SSD wear?

Hi, as of yesterday I'm no longer able to use firefox, since browsing doesn't work anymore. As soon as I try to load a page, a messge pops up that said that due to a possible health risk firefox doesn't even bother to connect (and of course I looked for a link that allowed be to go on) The test is geman, but I think that the basic of the message. Unfortunately there is no support whatsoever in other languages.

I think I can change the settings in opera, which, as the best browser atm, would be a real improvent to firefox, but I am not able to export the chronic as well as the bookmarks, that why I stayd with FF. But now, since FF isn't running anymore, I decided to finally improve my Browser. How do I import bookmarks,chronic and other settings form FF to Opera ?

Whenever I open Firefox I'm asked to download impression.link. It's keeps popping up even though I cancel. I've tried saving it to make it go away but each new tab I open in Firefox browser I get the same all over again. Impression.link pops up and asks whether I want to save or run it. I've never had this before and it's extremely annoying as I don't know if it's a threat. Do you know what this is and how do I stop it.

When I try to open Firefox on Debian Linux I get an XPCOM error XPCOMGlueLoad error for file /mnt/chromeos/removable/plus_slim/dev/linux/packages/firefox-87.0/firefox/libxul.so: libdbus-glib-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Couldn't load XPCOM.

new computer win10, fresh firefox download 4/13/2021, firefox cannot display anything. Chrome, Kiwi, msedge all work great just so. checked firewall, firefox is allowed through. about:support, settings etc sites are not displayed either

Ive had Firefox for a very long time. In advertently I Closed the account and now downloading it Twice tbey keep asking me to download again. Why? I was about to call Apple help talking to Volunteers

I downloaded and installed the firefox app and nothing happens. No menu. No tabs. The word "firefox" appears in the upper left corner of my screen and a "." appears under the app, indicating that it is open. The screen "blinked" momentarily when I opened the app. I am a longtime user of Firefox and this same thing happened this morning when I opened the app, which I uninstalled, and then downloaded and installed this new app. Same problem.

I have installed Firefox as my default browser on a new iMac, but every time I open Firefox (after quitting it or shutting down my computer) it asks me AGAIN if i want to set Firefox as my default browser. If I say "yes", I have to start all over again setting My Yahoo as my home(opening) page and reset all the bookmark shortcuts I've put into my bookmarks tool bar.

I've confirmed in Firefox, in Safari, and in System Preferences that Firefox is set as my default browser. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox.
