Hello

I have a problem when restoring the file from one computer to another, when I want to restore it it gives this error "Unable to process the backup file". I have been looking for some program that allows me to unzip or remove the data or repair.

I have consulted many forums and videos and I cannot know if the failure is irreparable or is there any way to get the information I have consulted this page but it does not finish working https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/bookbackreader.html

5 YEARS OF BOOKMARKS GONE, FROM BEING FORCED INTO USING LOCKWISE.

Instead of the OLD, tried and true bookmarks system.

Tell me how i can get them back?

So go on, how does one STRIP out the LOCKSAFE? How does one revert back to their bookmarks before this person that forced a addon upon us?

The Bookmarks are all there, but the url is missing. None of the extensions (including ones I've paid for are there)

The logins weren't there, but are now restored from a previous install.

What I have done...

1. exported bookmarks to html and checked them out there. They were broken there as well.

2. Refreshed Firefox,

3. Restarted the PC.

4. Uninstalled Firefox (and discovered that I had both X32 and X64 on my machine) - uninstalled both. 5. Reinstalled Firefox x64 (current version 86.0.1)

6. the places.sqlite files from previous restores have the same problem.

I've started to refresh the links for the toolbar which has taken me awhile. I don't want to have to do it for all my hundred's of bookmarks.

Ideally what I'd like to do is uninstall the latest update, look at the bookmarks to see if they are still stuffed, and if the extensions are there. If they are ok, then I want to back the bookmarks to html. Reinstall the update, then restore the bookmarks. (And make a list of the extension names so I can reinstall them).

My guess is either that the sqlite file has corrupted, or the update has changed the file layout for the bookmarks, etc, and it's unable to interpret the links.

how do I restore history and bookmark files? I have Linux mint 17.7.1 Rebecca. There was a message that there was three updates waiting (one of which was from Firefox). I got the message all three downloaded successfully and I was "up to date". My normal boot up screen was now replaced with a firefox info screen. All bookmarks and history disappeared. I am not familiar with Linux so if there is a restore to prev fix I would be grateful for a step by step fix. This same thing happened on my windows 7 os when I got an update message but that was a simple fix of just restoring to previous day. The Firefox version that is the latest offending # 78.7.1

last night was a firefox update??? today, all of my bookmarks and toolbar is gone. i've followed the RESTORE option and get an error stating that the function cannot process the backup file. WTF Firefox ... I have over 1300 bookmarks and use most of them regularly. help me fix this!!! ::crying::

I've been dealing with the error I wrote in the title in the Linux version of your web browser for a while. When I "right click + open in new tab" on any bookmark, that bookmark is deleted.
