How long do tab groups stay in the browser? The tab groups I create disappear from 'list all tabs' dropdown. I was unaware there was a time limit. Could you let me know if I am doing something wrong here or change the description to include a timeframe. Saying that I can reopen suggests I can always reopen (see help article quoted below). "You can Save and close group, which will save and close the group for you to be able to re-open from the List all tabs tab icon 2 icon on the tab bar (or the Fx137ListAllTabs toolbar icon, if you use vertical tabs). "

I have lost a number of groups, which is not ideal. I see two tab groups from last four days but no others. See screenshots.

Would love clarification of this, as it is so useful to keep sites in groups for later use.

Hello, I need urgent help. My Firefox browser started acting glitchy, so I restarted my computer. When it came back on, Firefox had lost all my bookmarks and passwords. I've spent 10 hours trying to fix it myself. I've found my old data files on the computer, but I can't get Firefox to use them. Safari works perfectly fine. I need you to remotely access my iMac and recover my Firefox profile with all my passwords and bookmarks.

On Windows 10 with 64-bit Firefox, after updating from version 144 to 145, some local HTTP-only servers stopped working and became inaccessible. When I enter http://<local server name>, after a few seconds it automatically changes to https://<local server name>, and since no HTTPS service is running, it ends with a “Server not found” page. It seems to be related to DNS — accessing http://<IP address> works fine.

I tried a clean installation with a new user profile, but it didn’t help. Downgrading to version 144 fixes the problem, but at the cost of losing the user profile (which is a disaster). I also tried to check the HTTP-only settings (which I’ve never modified), but that didn’t help either.

Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

I want some help please. When I open links from viber or discord, the links open in a new firefox window not the one am using at the time and they open on a no firefox profile window. I don't know what do and how to make the links open in the right firefox window. Maybe you can help me somehow?

In multi-window browser sessions on Linux, the "Recently closed tabs" menu shows a list of URLs relevant to the parent (aka current) window, and that is both perfectly logical and highly useful. It makes it a lot easier to find that specific URL you're looking for, if not only because it increases the chance that it hasn't yet been flushed out of the recently-closed list.

I have a very distinct memory that this was the case on Mac too for the URLs showed by this menu when accessed via the "hamburger menu". I'm positive that I accessed the function via the hamburger menu rather than the faster way via the menubar for that very reason. And I just realised that it's no longer possible starting with at least v143.

With the Mac's global menu bar it would stand to reason that it presents lists that are "global" to the session, but I see no good *usability* reason that would justify *not* using window-specific lists under the hamburger menu.

One could of course argue that it's confusing and a "burden" to the user that s/he would need to remember in which window the looked-for tab once lived. But that argument would apply to all platforms, and this is supposed to be about *recently* closed tabs and one has to assume that the majority of users have no issue remembering in which window they have (or had!) a given tab open. (And that otherwise they'd be using a singe window, probably maximised to occupy the entire screen ;) ).

Hey everyone, I’m working on my website, lewisestimating.com, and I’ve hit a wall. Everything looks fine in Chrome and Edge, but in Firefox some parts of the layout don’t show up right. Images are out of place and a few buttons aren’t behaving like they should.

I’ve tried clearing cache, disabling extensions, and testing in private mode, but it’s still the same. Has anyone had this happen when working on their own site? Any tips on what I should check or tools in Firefox that can help me figure this out?

Would really appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Hello Team, today suddenly while restarting the PC, I did not close Firefox and restarted it. But when I opened it, a new Firefox appeared in front of me where Password bookmarks are nothing, how can I get them back?

The 'reader pane' on my microsoft email remains blank. It used to show me the body of the email on the right side of the screen.I now have to open/download the email to read it. Is there a way to resume the prior arrangement?

I recently asked a question about having a problem with Firefox not successfully loading a second webpage tab. While it appears to start loading correctly in a new tab the tab remains a blank page and the address window continues to appear that the loading process is ongoing but it just continues to show the apparent loading process but the network has no activity. I tried following some suggestions but to no avail. I then uninstalled Firefox and did a clean, new install. Upon trying the new install it appeared to work correctly at first but after attempted to do a second Google image search, which worked correctly, I tried to visit the site that what contained the original image. The site partially loaded; appeared to keep loading for about 15 minutes; stopped; and I got a partially installed page and even that wasn’t correct as can be seen in the enclosed images.

When I use Firefox every day, I often encounter the situation where the vertical tab cannot be automatically expanded when the mouse is moved over it. Please check the comparison of the pictures I uploaded. I am unhappy about this because it will affect our experience of using Firefox. I hope that this problem can be fixed by reporting it to you. The automatic expansion of vertical tabs returns to normal when I create a new Firefox window.

My computer information is window 11 professional version 22H2 (x64), Intel chipset, Firefox version number is 144.0.2 (x64)

I am getting consistent issues with Firefox where the tabs seemingly just crash with no rhyme or reason to them. Could be within a few seconds, could be after a few minutes. Doesn't seem to be one website causing it either as I was worried it was Twitch but I get issues browsing other places too. Any help would be appreciated!

Have an old list of bookmarks that was imported from an old pc running widows vista to a new HP machine that shows as a firefox document on the desktop, List is outdated and needs to be edited with deletion of some of the old listings but can't figure out how to do that ???? I use the default setting that all cookies be deleted when I shut down Firefox, and then hand-input dozens of exceptions. The Firefox update on November 11, 2025 -- and I didn't even click on install, I only downloaded it, then hesitated, being afraid that it costs me again hours to re-create what the update destroys, but Firefox went from download to automatic installation -- meant that Firefox wiped all cookie exceptions (list of cookies that are not deleted when I shut down Firefox). These exceptions are hours of work, and, additionally, every bank etc. now requires me to sign in and go through many-factor authentication anew. -- How do I restore the long list of cookie exceptions that the Firefox update just deleted?

+ The same update wiped all bookmark icons. My three dozen bookmarks in the bookmark toolbar now come with the 'globe' symbol rather than the bookmark-specific symbol, so I can't tell which bookmark is which. How do I restore the bookmark symbols that the Firefox update just destroyed?

I can't sign in to TikTok anymore. This just happened recently. I can sign in on different browsers or on incognito browser but not on the regular browser. I have deleted all the cookies/browsing history and it still doesn't sign me in. On my home page there used to a dozen or so boxes with the web sites I most frequently use that I could click on. It would open a new tab and go to that site. They had the logo of the site. They aren't there anymore. Can I get them back? If so, how?

Hi, I recently visited what I thought was a valid website only to get bombarded with ransomware popups. They state that my McAfee account has expired, an account that I never had, and they insist that I click their link to repair it. It doesn't appear to be a hack or that it is currently mining any info from my account. Obviously, I know better than to click on the link ( one of which is: d3venj8hubcc73ch6bp0.texonnerro.co.in TROJAN VIRUS FOUND Click here to secure your data. There are 4 different messages but all have the same URL address). It's really just annoying at this point. Also, it is specific to my Firefox browser. I have no issues when I use MS Edge. I looked to see if I could uninstall Firefox but did not find any way to do that. I know I would lose all my settings, etc doing that, but if that's the only solution, then so be it. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone. From a while now that I need to change to Google Chrome everytime I want to put my credit card details to buy something online. Simply because the text boxes in Firefox don't show. They're simply not there. There are very few websites where they show up for half a second and disappear right after. I've tried disabling "enhanced tracking protection", disabling all my plug-ins, changing the "hardware performance" option, cleaning cache and cookies. Nothing seems to work. I'm going crazy because I like firefox and I want to work always in this one browser, not changing each time I want to do a different task. Similar thing happens with some websites when they freeze before you explore them and the pop-up window comes asking you about the cookies. But some of these, the window disappears right away, so I can see the page but it's stuck, because I didn't manage to accept the cookies option

Please, can you advise me what can I do? It's getting very frustrating, I'm really considering moving everything to Chrome and I don't want to. Thank you.
