Although listed as one of the options for default language, the current version of Firefox, which is my default browser, does not accept Brazilian Portuguese as the default language. It only accepts the Portuguese version, from Portugal which, to me, who speak Brazilian Portuguese, with all due respect, is a pain in the butt. I have tried, dozens of times, to delete the Portuguese version and set the Brazilian version as the default language. It works until I shut down the computer. The next time I turn on the computer, to my eternal dismay, Firefox cancels my previous language setting and reverts itself to the damn Portuguese version, which I dislike to the extreme.So I am, hereby, taking the issue to you with high hopes that this abdomally be straightened out once and forever. I lost all bookmarks overnight and the Bookmarks tab is completely empty. I have located the latest JSONL24 backup file and tried to import it via the Firefox General Tab setting; however, the file does not show up in the Import Browser Data route. In fact, the C: directory as seen through this window is quite different from the actual C: directory. What am I doing wrong? Are there any other way to restore the bookmarks using the JSONL24 file?

need to replace bookmarks on server not merge them, w/bookmarks on locale device

currently when i log in it merges what is on server w/ what i just reworked and getting rid of multiples ... will have to do this again as i clean even more so need ot know how to accomplish exchange not merger

I'm trying to install Mozilla VPN but it won't install. The error message is as follows: the installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail.

I received an email saying that I had to sign in in order to keep my account. I did not click on the link provided since I thought it might be a scam. Was this a valid email? If so, is signing in now meet the requirement to keep my account?

At home we have a shared computer with Ubuntu and Firefox as main browser. Each family member has its own Linux user.

We use the functionality of Firefox saving passwords, however we've noticed that these passwords are visible between the Linux users. So, for instance if two of us use the same website, somehow our user/pass get are visible to each other. Is this behavior expected? How can we set FF to make the user/pass visible only to the Linux user who is using it?

Hello. I just have a general question. I have read about it a little but I get mixed info. Some say yes, some say no.... So, is it possible to get a virus or malware or any of that spyware stuff on mobile phones like you can on a computer? Particularly Android phones. They have all these anti-virus apps and stuff you can download saying they're designed specifically for Android mobile devices but then I have read articles that say that the Android operating system is not the same as, let's say, a Windows PC operating system so it's not possible to download spyware onto it. I'm just curious and appreciate any info. Thank you!!

Weird issue I discovered today is that for whatever reason the LastPass addon in Mozilla Firefox keeps disappearing upon reopening the app and among different computers. So I had it all setup on my MacBook Pro previously working fine but now I found logging into my iMac for LastPass to be missing altogether from my Extensions. I re-installed it. Having had to sign in all over again etc and now when I go to another computer (again logged in with my Firefox account) then the Extension is not there!!!! So damn annoying. What's going on here? A few weeks ago I saw an Mozilla ad for a new Mozilla software product that cleaned up your PC and made it run better. The price was around $125.00 (I don't remember that exact price). It said that I would receive an email from Mozilla with download instructions. it's been a few weeks and I have not gotten any email. Does anyone know if Mozilla offers any such software or did I get scammed? I'm pretty good about seeing scams but Ive used Firefox and Mozilla for years and trust them. Maybe that's why I wasn't as careful as I should have been.

Hi, I am curious to know why I can't completely remove the Dutch language in the language settings. When I installed the browser it was automatically set-up to Dutch - a language don't speak - then I was able to add English but some functions like spelling corrections are still in Dutch. I would like to get rid of it. I have the same problem with German on another computer. Thanks!

No, there's no such option in settings. No, removing updater physically does not stop pop-ups. No, there's nothing in about:config to shut up the updates.

For Firefox team:

No, your updates ruin the browser, more and more, I think I'm about to switch to Pale Moon instead.

I like the Firefox browser and Firefox was working fine for months but Firefox did ask me to do another update today. I did the update as requested and after the update Firefox will not connect to any websites on my desktop despite an excellent internet connection. I cannot find anyway to contact Firefox directly. For major problems such as a 100 percent failure rate to connect to any website, Firefox should provide direct help to the user as to the current major problem. I appreciate user ideas but Firefox should offer some help for major problems as the likely solutions can change over time. Hopefully if Firefox oversees user questions, someone at Firefox tech will at least respond to my question on this website or better yet contact me directly.

The problem may well be the update itself. The Firefox browser is working on my smartphone but not the desktop internet browser. I have some browser settings that I do not want to lose which a complete Firefox removal and reinstall would likely cause. Any suggestions from fellow Firefox users are appreciated and I look forward to them. Have other Firefox users experienced this major problem?

My PC died and I could not boot from bootable flash drive.

I had been backing up the system with Acronis to a WD Passport.

I purchased a new computer, and when I did a restore, upon starting Firefox, I did not have my old bookmarks, which are many.

Aren't they stored in a backup? If so, how do I get them back. I'm sure that some of the bookmarks came over from Netscape Navigator.
