So Mozilla supports privacy rights- and I've supported Mozilla for that reason- but they want Whatsapp to be censored for "misinformation" ? How does that go together? Whatsapp was supposed to be encrypted and not even Whatsapp was supposed to know the content of messages. How would they know about misinformation? And how do they get to decide what's misinformation now?

Office online will not load correctly. I've attached an example of how Excel loads. This is happening with Word as well. Cache was already cleared and the browser was reset as well.

Firefox often display messages at the lower right corners - only from selected sites.

It drives my crazy - because I have to click on each and ervy one.

How can I select the sites which are displayed or can I shut them off all together ?!?

response to jonzn4SUSE, because on my desk top, it won't install, because my computer chip is too old, when I get to the point of clicking on finish, when clicking on finish, it disappears, supposedly this chip is a better chip than the one I need to install it, but it's older than the one which is the minimum needed to do the install, even took it to the repair shop, I had read that sometimes if an older version of waterfox is on a computer it won't install, by the time I got it back from the shop everything with waterfox was gone, including bookmarks etc., none it was saved, some of the things I could import from my other browsers, one thing I don't like about waterfox is there isn't any way to export those things to other browsers, even when going to firefox or any other browsers, when clicking on import from other browsers, waterfox isn't on the list, also on my laptop, has an intel chip, maybe older than the one on desk top, when 1st installed it, it worked, the next time I tried to use it it wouldn't open, don't use lap top very often, usually only when desk top is in the shop on desk top, even tried to install it in safe mode, after I got it back from the repair shop, is when I found out about the chip being too old Operating System       Windows 10 Pro 64-bit CPU       AMD Phenom II X4 955          Deneb 45nm Technology RAM       16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 803MHz (11-11-11-28) Motherboard       Gigabyte Technology Co. This URL below will return a XML file in Edge/chrome but not in Firefox. I use Joomla as a CMS and it's extensions to display a RSS feed worked fine in both browsers until a couple of months ago. I've tried with a vanilla Mozilla/FF with all extensions disabled but still will not return the XML file

I have been having this issue with firefox for a while, where the developers options tab keeps opening up on its own, and closes on itself. I have attached a recording of the issue for better illustration. Many time I am unable to close it, it doesn't allow me to carry out my work when its up. My firefox is updated. Can anyone help identify what is the issue.

for more than 5-7 months its been unusable. it completely freeze. I recently reported this to open ai devs and they tried to do something. Now page responds is in 20-60 seconds range.

means, I open website, i wait 20-60 seconds to load. I ask chat gpt something, i wait 20-60 to actually type my messsage (for my message to be printed after I hit enter). then i refresh page (because nothing moves), wait 20-60 secs to load page and I see the reply.

and yes, each time I was always trying to do with latest version of browser. and I also tried it on a new browser without any extension.

I have a video, I can only share it private with firefox devs if helps.

Hi, I am using Linux Zorin and have updated to a later OS but cannot reinstall my stored files because, "/home/garry/.mozilla/firefox/0czvkt76.default-release/lock". Which has confused me, I have used a Deja Dup backup which uses Duplicity files as per the Zorin programme. Duplicate files are stored in a WD ext hard drive. What can I do to recover my files pls? So I’m looking at a help document in a web page. It tells me to push this button or that. So I go the affected app and try to find the button mentioned in the help file. Can’t find it, so return to Firefox to re-read the help file. The window is gone. I can find the tab for it, so I can open it pretty quick, but why do I have to? Why does that window have to close? This is yet another reason to switch from Firefox to something else.

Had to replace FF with Chrome in order to play DRM content on my W11 laptop. I get message saying you are downloading remedy, but nothing ever changes. Would prefer to continue 15+ year relationship with FF, but seems like youre abandoning capabilities for DRM video content?

Not sure of the topic. When I type in a website that I have typed before, its fine. But, if I search something new, anything, the tab trembles and does not search. I quit and restarted. Updated today to the latest. Still the same. I am writing this from Chrome because Firefox won't even respond to searching for firefox. The trembling is seen in the new tab and nothing happens.

I've tried to login to Falcon using my usual Firefox browser and it's struggling to load and just whirling around.

It was working fine before Christmas, so has been an update from Mozilla that's causing an issue and do you have any recommended fixes.

Hi, I use windows hibernate a lot. One vulnerability of hibernate is that the contents of RAM get written to the hard drive in unencrypted form in a file called hiberfil.sys. This means that any encryption keys in RAM used to access encypted files will be written to hiberfil.sys and can be extracted if a malicious party has physical access to the drive.

Thus, the question:

Does Firefox store encryption keys, passwords, or log in details in RAM at any time while in use?

Hello, My Antivirus sofware (GData Internet security) showed the attached message (in German) two times today. It says in English something like:

It was tried to access an infected archive

Virus: Trojan.GenericKD.71195125 (Engine A) File: 0B3C6E11DBBC160A3AAFC100C8BAB878F5EE0C Directory: C:\Users\re-ge\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firef Process: firefox.exe

The line ending with "Firef" may indicate that lines are truncated.

I am not a "techie" kind of person, so please bear with me. I received the email from Mozilla telling me to update my Firefox.

Will Firefox 78.15.0 continue to work on my Mac after March 31, 2024? I do not use Sync. I do have many bookmarks and saved passwords. The email from Mozilla is a bit unclear what will happen. I am using an older computer running Mac OS 10.10.5 and cannot update to a newer system, so I cannot update Firefox. Thanks very much.
