Since the latest update 124.0.2 when I close firefox out and when I reload later it will not load my home page and does not have any of my settings saved. It shows that I am logged out of firefox. I have checked all of my settings but every time I close firefox it will not open to my set homepage and my settings.

Lately, when I try to download different files like .docx, .pptx, etc., Firefox always downloads files with a .pdf extension. I tried it in a different browser, and the problem does not occur there. Of course, the files are the same in binary terms, so when I change the extension, everything is fine, but it is annoying. What is wrong?

I had to reset my computer and lost the bookmarks there. When I reinstalled Fifefox I had to reset my password and lost my bookmarks associated with that email address. HOWEVER, I have firefox installed on my mobile phone with all bookmarks intact. Is there a way to get the bookmarks from my mobile to the laptop?

Actually my problem was solved. It came from the fact that following a maintenance intervention on the servers of the https site where my account was located, and access to which was blocked by Mozilla, the automatic updating of certificates had not worked. Which the site technicians resolved following a request I sent to them.

When ever I go into about:profiles, I want to open up one of the root directories, but the button leads to the windows file instead. How do I open the root directory?

I am using Firefox on Mac - I usually minimize instead of closing - It has started making a TAPPING NOISE I thought it was my computer - but It now has happened to 3 different computers and one is brand new - T T T T TTT , I have narrowed it down to Firefox, when I minimize it will do it, then opened and it stopped and min. then start, repeeat - now it does the TTTTT all the time with it open or minimized. What is going on?

Since yesterday, occassionally while using Facebook or Messenger, the tab crashes. Earlier today on the Messenger side, after reopening the Messenger tab after it crashes, it crashed again. It doesn't occur on other websites and the app doesn't crash, only the tab.

Using Firefox on "troubleshoot mode" doesn't have an issue when accessing when I visit those for a few minutes and with only one or two tabs open, and I'm afraid of visiting these sites for a while because it may crash again. Occurs on both Windows and Mac.

Crashed signature leads to: "js::gc::AllocSite::incTenuredCount", and I have no idea what does it mean. For my Mac the reason for the crash is "EXC_BAD_ACCESS / KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE", while for Windows, reason is "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ".

Hello, I recently created a new sync account for work so I wouldn't have to use my personal sync account. I noticed after creating the new sync account it still retained my passwords from my personal account. Is it safe for me to delete all my personal passwords on the work account or will it also delete those passwords on my personal?

I have a problem with css transition since last update. Since last update, css transition on scroll is lagging. Any other browser is doing it fine, firefox was doing it fine too before last update. You can see it, for example, on page https://www.albixon.com/ . On scroll, the page content is sliding smoothly by css transition.

Hello, I would like to know if there's a way to show all comments on a PDF grouped together on a sidebar, like on adobe viewer or wps... its really the only thing keeping me from using it all the time!

As the title says, I experience stutter frequently when using the scroll wheel click to scroll. It's not exactly consistent in timing, but I'd say every second or less. It may be happening when scrolling normally as well, but if it is I can't tell.

Trying to google for a potential fix, I found a reddit thread suggesting to look at the WEBRENDER entries in about:support, though that's where it ended because the individual that posted the thread had no issues there. As the attached image shows, there are multiple NVIDIA_REFRESH_RATE_MIXED error codes, in WEBRENDER_COMPOSITOR and WEBRENDER_DCOMP_PRESENT. This makes some sense, as my main monitor is 144hz, and my tv, also connected to my GPU, is 120hz. I have a 3070 Ti FE, which I also used in my previous computer, which I remember having no stuttering in firefox with.

I also found that if I force the GPU to run at a higher speed (not overclocked, just at the advertised speed rather than the reduced speed it normally offers when doing non-intensive tasks like browsing the web), the stutter goes away.

I tried various about:config settings, like mousewheel.system_scroll_override.enabled from true to false, layout.frame_rate from -1 to 144 (this didn't seem to fix it, and made scrolling choppier in general, almost as though I'd turned off smooth scrolling though not as severe), though nothing seemed to help.

I'd greatly appreciate any help anyone can offer.

I have been using firefox for 2 years now at work, logged in to sync the passwords and bookmarks. To my knowledge it seemed to be working fine.

I reimaged my laptop last week and reinstalled firefox and logged into my account and it did not download any of my saved bookmarks and saved passwords.

I suspect it may have been caused by a partially failed initial install of Firefox which may have wiped the data from the account.

Does mozilla keep backups of the profile data? If they do, could my account be restored to the state it was in on Thursday 28 March 2024?

I spoke to BT who proved that Firefox and not Edge was the problem and there is a need to know how to remove entries which appear under the Firefox through either Autofill or Autosave or finally Autopopulate. This need arises from a problem which has arisen under username entry and which cannot be permanently removed.

I need some advice on how to resolve this problem!
