FFox on Win11.

I thought this would be easy to find. It's not. I consider that a bug.

I originally was trying to find out what the yellow dot to the right of the refresh icon meant. I'd still like to know.

Can anyone tell me what these messages mean in my Browser Cache:

When I click on a pdf file, Firefox opens and displays the file, rather than handing it off to Acrobat, which is my preference. I'm running Firefox 122.0.1 and Windows 11 Firefox seems to ignore the settings in General, Applications. (See attached image)

    If I set to Always Ask, Firefox displays the file without asking.
    If I set to Save File, Firefox does not save the file.  It displays pdf instead.
    If I set to Windows Default Application, Firefox displays the file.  
         (Note: Acrobat is set in Windows as my default app for pdfs.  If I find a pdf with Windows Explorer and open it there, Acrobat is launched and it displays the file.  IOW I've confirmed that Acrobat is set as my default app for pdfs)
    If I set to Acrobat, Firefox displays the file.

I see nothing in Firefox Settings showing an Add-in for pdfs Any ideas?

When I click a link either form a web page or from an email I get a whole new window rather than a new tab in the existing Firefox window. This new window is stripped back without the usual menu of options at the top. Is this EDGE taking over my life? I have Firefox as my default browser.

great work with devloping such fine browser from past week i have been having a issue while browsing youtube the browser gets stuck and i am not able to forward or rewind the video or if i switch tabs it takes some time and to load already loaded page kindly help me with the same warm regards satish

There is a bar that says: You must log in to this network before you can access the internet" and a button that says Open network login page" and then the following shows up:

The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

   This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

Please advise what Is going on.

Hi,

1. impossible to open bookmarks. nothing happens

2. all the shortcuts on my home page have disappeared while they are still chosen in preferences and it is not possible to add new ones. Again nothing happens when trying.

I am mainly concern about the possible loss of the links of the bookmarks. I already experienced a total loss of the history and I fear to go through something like that again.

Please solve this problem or help me if I can do it myself. I did a restart and a refresh but no change. Thank you

MS Windows 11 just updated (02/14/24) and now Firefox keeps giving me the 'Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.

 <Close Firefox>  <Cancel>.  Task Manager is showing three Firefox activities at the same time.  This problem is only on my Admin user account.   The two other local account run Firefox fine.  Any help, suggestions directions?

Using: PC W11 [v 10.0.22631 Build 22631] & Mozilla Firefox v122.0.1 (64-bit)

I can make one of five possible usernames appear in the earthlink.net login field. I can not get the default login username to be blank when I go to earthlink.net. How do I do this?

FYI, If the username field is blank, firefox will display a drop down list of all five logins and selecting one will fill in both the username and password field. I think this is pretty slick if only I could get the usename field to default to blank when I first go to the earthlink website.

I no longer see a preview of photos on Google Photos on the new version of Firefox (122.0.1) in either the main window (see first image), or the file itself (see second image with broken file icon). In the latter I just get a spinning wheel. Do I need to change a setting in Firefox?

After a recent Microsoft update, FF Picture-in-picture now broken. Will not detach from viewer, instead expands much larger beyond screen. Attempts to restore pauses video. Problem not just in YouTube. FF; 122.0.1, W11; OS build 22621.3155

I am trying to use an input type of month but it is not rendering or behaving properly when viewed in the latest browser version.

The example from Mozilla tech site is below and when viewed in Firefox it does not work either. <input type="month" id="start" name="start" />

Is this no longer supported by Firefox?

Hi, I have account from Many Years on Firefox and I usually when I got New Laptop I just Login in my Account and I retrieved all my Old Bookmarks and Add Ons this Time I got New Laptop and as Usual I Loged in but I got Nothing , I didn't found my Bookmarks or Add ons

I have to press the F11 key to see the menus, scroll bars, taskbar, etc but the screen then goes back to full-screen mode.

How do I prevent full-screen ?
