Lately, whenever I click on a file (be it PDF, XLS or whatever), it doesn't open. Instead, I see the relevant app (Acrobat, Excel, or whatever) flashing on the taskbar and I have to click on it to view the downloaded files. Not a big deal, but it used to be different, with the relevant app opening a window with the downloaded files (which makes sense: if I click on it to open - and not download - I want to see it now). Does this happen to you as well? I could not find any option to control this behaviour, and I don't think it is intentional.

I typically download 30 to 40 video files daily of around 5 MB each. The most I can download seems to be 8 files, then I have to select the next 8 to download. Is there a way I can select all 30 files and have them download one at a time in order without having to keep selecting the next file?

I saw there was a fix / workaround for pasting text into WhatsApp on desktop in Firefox, but I used to be able to copy and paste images too and that still doesn't work. It works in the AVG secure browser though. It used to work in Chrome, but I don't want to go to Chrome just to send a picture from my desktop. Is there any workaround or fix in Firefox to copy and paste images into WhatsApp on desktop?

For the past few weeks (perhaps after updates?), my Firefox browser has refused to connect through AVG secure VPN - it is completely blocked and time-out on ALL websites. When I disconnect the AVG VPN, then Firefox works immediately correctly. It happens on both private and public networks.

Both Firefox and AVG secure VPN are up to date. Firefox 120.0 (64- bit) AVG Secure VPN 5.28.9117 I have been using AVG professional antivirus and firewall for years. Windows 10 Latest Version.

Any suggestions please?

I was required to make a quick computer switch. I cannot access my old computer. When I opened Firefox on the new one it was without my bookmarks, saved passwords etc. I really need those passwords. And I don't like an orphaned window for Firefox floating around with my info. At best, how do I get it on my new computer. At worst, how does the info get deleted so that it is not available online to anyone?

There is an app of my PC to open a digital version of the USA Today paper as well as other newspapers owned by Gannett. This app has always run well on Firefox. But a few weeks ago, when selecting the option to print an article, multiple pop-up screens began displaying. It is normal for the article to display in a pop-up screen just before printing but not multiple times. And every time I print an article the number of pop-ups increase... the first time twice, the second time three times, the seventh time eight times, etc. If I open the app using Chrome this does not happen.

From the main opening screen on the right hand side ( Pic1 ) click on the three horizontal lines Tab. Go down to "Bookmarks" listing (Pic2) Click on " Bookmarks " to open and it gives you Pic3.

At the bottom of Pic3 is " Recent Bookmarks " and it lists ALL the previous bookmarks that have been opened.

Question - I do not want that list displayed, How / Where do you disable it in Firefox ?

Other people who have posted this question have had individuals just saying " Right click " on the bookmark and delete. That not only deletes it from the recent bookmarks list BUT also from the Actual Bookmarks!

So.... not a good idea.

I have spent over an hour searching the internet and the Firefox settings trying to figure it out.

My wife was on Firefox, I was on EDGE for email(Outlook) and google access, I tired of the issues with EDGE and moved my account to Firefox, it REMOVED her email access displacing with mine, how do I get her email access Back?

Windows 10 volume slider stops working after every firefox update. Have to restart windows 10 explorer to make it work after every login. It will start working again on it's own after the next windows update until I click on the firefox update again.

when close firefox on build 120.0 64 bit build slow to open website after that its fine its only first time opening firefox on windows 10 64 from fresh restart or cold boot or closeing and reopening it dose it hope fixed soon in next build

Part of the reason (a small part, but part nonetheless) that I began to use Firefox was the ability to screenshare and screenshot disney+, netflix, and etc -- but after updating to 120.0, my screenshots are being blocked (as though I were on Chrome or Edge).

I am not doing piracy! I make edits and stuff. It'd be super helpful to know how to fix this, or if there even is a way.

Hey there! So for the past several days, I've been having websites not loading correctly. At first, it was only websites For twitch, everything loads as normal, except for the broadcast itself. It doesn't matter if it's live or a vod. The chat even works. Where the broadcast should be is the person's offline overlay. For youtube, either the page will sit with the loading symbol in the middle and eventually it will connect, or the video will refuse to load. During my troubleshooting, one youtube tab will be working fine and the other tab I've loaded for it will not. Now, other websites aren't loading correctly either. Some elements will load and other won't. Some websites I can see the missing elements appear for a moment when I refresh.

I've tried deleting all of my extensions, turning off bitdefender, uninstalling bitdefender, scanning with malewarebytes, clearing cookies, clearing my history, and nothing is working. I am not having any of these problems on other browsers that I've tried during troubleshooting.

When playing videos on this website only, then there are distortions on the video as you can see in the screenshot. It happens when i try to jump into a specific part of the video. I tried almost everything related to hardware acceleration(With on and off). A new profile with no extensions,updating gpu drivers(AMD) nothing seemed to fix it. This website works fine on chromium browsers.

I uninstalled Firefox which I had been using for years because when I tried to open it yesterday it said the file was corrupted and unreadable. I installed Firefox today but it didn"t import my bookmarks from the previous version of Firefox. I have windows 10
