Every time I launch Firefox it creates 12-13 instances of Firefox along with one each for Chrome and Console.

I don't need that many instances. Typically I have no more than 3-4 tabs open.

Is there a Configuration setting that I can change to reduce the number of instances to 5 and greatly reduce the amount of time it takes to launch.

I am running Windows 10 Pro V21H2 at current update level. I have a custom made tower with 512GB SSD and a Core2 Duo processing running at 2.93 GHz with 8 GB Ram. Firefox is V17.0.1.

Hello, i have a problem with my account information. The story is that i reinstall my PC i tried to log in my firefox buy it turns that i forgot my password. So i change it at 12:31 on 1.11.2022. So at first time i didn't saw anything wrong but when i tried to look into one saved password it turned that i do not have any. But on the are there. Can you fix this because all my bookmarks passwords are there for years i have been with this account and i do not want to loose it.

I use Firefox search engine.

I am a Rogers/Yahoo mail.

I have not signed up for Thunderbird because Rogers says they do not "support" it and will not provide any help for any third-party email problems.

Lately, when I compose an email or receive an email in my Rogers email, they contain the letter "A" in a circle with a dark brown "brick" appearing background, directly in front of my email address, and that is accompanied by the words "Mail Service." This started only recently.

Rogers said they have never seen this and asked what search engine I am using. I told them Firefox. They suggested I try testing with a different search engine, so I used MS Edge, and I did NOT get the "A" or the "Mail Service" words.

Why is this now happening when I log onto my Rogers account using Firefox search engine?

I'm pretty sure Firefox behavior on redirects used to present an option to "allow for this site." But if it did, that is now gone. There is only "allow." It allows once, and the next time you visit the same site, you have to allow again. And again. And again. Since one of these sites is the enrollment management system for my college, something I access literally hundreds of times each semester, this is fantastically annoying. I know how to turn off redirection altogether, but that seems like a blunderbuss solution. Most of the time, I like that warning. I just want to allow exceptions. Is there any way to do this?

Frankly this issue is mostly my fault and has an easy fix but I would like to avoid that.

Whenever I launch firefox none of my tabs load and even waiting for 2 hours did not make them load. Restarting my computer did not help. My bookmarks bar just looks empty with no icons and not even any text or buttons in there.

I've tried setting network.http.http3.enabled to false but that did not fix the issue.

I'm assuming my absurd tab count is the cause of this, but it would be odd since it worked just fine before. I should have around 7900 tabs and the session restore never failed me. Everything I needed loaded relatively quickly too.

My addons seem to work fine, I sometimes get random crashes (though I think this is due to GPU driver issues). Suddenly none of my tabs load which is very unfortunate.

Whenever I go into settings and scroll down to "Firefox Updates" Version 108.0 is stuck at 0 bytes and doesn't seem to download at all.

I would appreciate if I could fix this without losing my session. Thank you for taking the time to read this

I have used Firefox for years and don't recall ever having to sign in, although I did create an account in January 2022. With the upcoming change, am I going to have to sign after rebooting my PC each time?

I can't figure out what setting to fix this: every time I click to open a new window, about 35 tabs automatically open up that I have closed several times in the past. I simply want one new window without any previously opened tabs.

I've tried:

• clearing my entire search history several times
• shutting down Firefox and reopening (which opens up all those tabs)
• uninstalling Firefox and reinstalling it
• initiating the latest Firefox updates
• restarting my computer
• turning my computer on and off
• looking through every single preference in my Firefox settings (I've unchecked anywhere it talks about opening tabs)
• reading various articles on Firefox's support page and on other support websites to try to figure this out (there's little info on this problem; the support is mostly about how to save previously opened tabs

Please help! I'm tired of having to close down all these tabs every single time I have to restart my computer or have to shut down Firefox. It slows down everything I'm trying to do.

I have a problem with facebook.com, and scrolling at this site. With my add-ons from firefox, when I scrolling facebook.com, my lenovo ideapad have black. Then I must restart system. Today try scrolling facebook on microsoft edge, and I don't have any problems. Then I try with my firefox, without any add-ons, and problem fixed. Did any add-ons doing problems with scrolling facebook? The autocomplete feature keeps showing me the US version of the KLM website when I type "kl" in the address bar instead of my local version. And I can't seem to get rid of it, or to get my local version instead.

How to control what is the first result shown in the address bar ?
