My Firefox browser is broken, I can open Firefox but I can not do anything it will not respond, clicking anywhere prompts a "Firefox is not responding" error message, I was able to "refresh" Firefox once with zero results, I have tried uninstalling Firefox yet it will not uninstall the uninstallation window comes up yet no matter how long it sits open nothing happens, I have tried reinstalling Firefox with no results, the installation freezes just before completing and says "Firefox could not be installed". I have been using Firefox as my primary browser for a long time but I am unable to use it in any way now. All other browsers are working fine no issues but I do prefer Firefox and would like to continue to do so. What do you suggest?

I use OnlyKey usb key as FIDO2 MFA with most of my accounts. On Firefox 123.0 on MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71) however, I get presented with multiple pop ups to touch my usb key but the key expects only one input/touch and it fails when I touch it the second time. This was not the workflow that I used to use before and it still works fine on MacOS ventura with Firefox + protonmail.

In some recent update firefox privacy and security settings changed from saved logins to saved passwords. I find this much less useful. Can i change back to saved logins?

Netflix will not play in Firefox on windows 11. Any help is appreciated. First error message is a connectivity issue, but Netflix will play in other browsers. Then second error message is F7111-1957-205002. I have followed both suggestions, with no luck. Anyone that has had this issue or knows how to fix it, please let me know. Thanks.

Firefox is unable to search for any new website. It will open any website I have used before but if I do a search for something new, the tab trembles and nothing happens. No search. No results.

Can someone please tell me how to answer questions asked, in emails to me, receoved from support helpers. In ~6 emails received so far, my only response option looks like clicking the "Mark It as Solved" button...I can't see how to answer, for example, that I'm using Debian Buster, with KDE. Also, jonzn4SUSE asked me to "see screenshot" of his SUSE distribution, but I can't see that image, nor a file attachment. Thanks again.

Do you get the error in Thunderbird or in the browser? What browser?

   But, if I copy link and copy into browser it works fine. 

Is that the same browser as the one which opens when you click the link in Thunderbird (a.k.a. your default browser)?

In answer to these questions: I use Chrome or Duck Duck Go. Duck Duck Go is my default browser. If I copy and paste link from email in browser it opens, but if I click on link in email I get the error message above. Also when you reply the email is a do not reply email so I can't reply back. Please include a good email so I can answer any questions you may have. Thank you

In regular web pages, I'm able to hover over an URL / picture w/ URL behind it, etc.... It shows up on the status bar at the bottom of the page (that's what it used to be called). Sometimes I can't.

Somewhere around the same time as I started noticing this, I had just upgraded to a Win11 computer. So, when I try to hover over a suspicious link, I get nothing!

Is there code these people can put in that shields them from hover? So, we can't see what we're getting into? If so, then I presume if I can't hover, don't click... Right?

Hi, PLEASE ASSIST I have a Desktop Computer & also a Laptop Computer(both using Windows 10) I used Firefox Syn to have both Comuters the same BUT BUT,Nothing but Problems On the Desktop Computer,regardless if I open Firefox,both Bookmark Menu & toolbar Menu are the same After (on firefox using Eset Banking) the Toolbar was great,but now,when I open it,it is the same as the normal Bookmark Menu) & if I open Firefox normally,the Menus are the same On Firefox using ESET Banking,I deleted all the menu on the toolbar & Put in the sites I had before all of the SYN But After I had it back to where I need it,GREAT & Shut it down,After 15 minutes I reopened it again & MUCH TO MY DISCUSS.the Toolbar Menu I just had put back is gone & the normal bookmark menu is Back HOW CAN I STOP THIS Through Firefox ESET Banking Tooplbar menu,is a safe way of logging into sites to make payments It is EXTREMELY FRUSTATING Please Help Thank you Darryl.Smith

I have had this spam pop up 2 times when I was on Facebook through Firefox through DuckDuckGo. Could someone confirm that this is spam and how to fix it? Also, I would like to report it to Firefox and I can't find how to do that either. Thank you

I'm developing web app. I created and set up ssl auth for localhost with self signed cert.

When I hit my endpoint with firefox I see:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to localhost:8081. SSL peer cannot verify your certificate.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_BAD_CERT_ALERT

   The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
   Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

How to disable security in FF so I can test my endpoint?

Firefox opens only by clicking the taskbar icon , not from the desktop icon or even double-clicking the program "firefox.exe" itself in the Firefox directory.

We see that Firefox often takes the fallback Proxy. The connection via the Fallback proxy is much slower than the connection via the original proxy. 

My Questions: How does Firefox recognize which Proxy is now active? Is there away to debug the Proxy Selection? Can I give a priority to a Proxy?

Firefox search allows a range of useful search engines to be available. About every 2 weeks, Amazon UK is removed from the list available. Then I have to refind it and put it back. Then repeat the process. This is getting boring.

Is there any way this search tool can be nailed into the search options?

I am encountering a repeated problem making online reservations in another country through Firefox, in which I select the correct date in the displayed calendar, submit the reservation request, and then receive a confirmation for the day following the one I requested. It has now occurred multiple times in the last few months, involving reservations made at hotels, restaurants, and libraries through a variety of platforms (third-party consolidators, directly through the business's own site, etc). I thought at first it might have to do with the time zones--I made the first batch of reservations in the evening US time when it was already the following day in Europe, but it is now happening with reservations made at a time when the dates match. When I contact the businesses, they see no sign of error on their end. I feel like I am losing my mind.
